I love this place! I rented a cottage (8) for a weekend, and it was awesome. This is a campsite, so don't expect anything too fancy, but its a great place for family. One downside I must say, is that there may be jellyfish, which they do warn you about on the brochure you receive upon arrival. The staff here is great as well! Solomon was our go to man for the weekend, so shoutout to him for being so helpful! I love, love, this place, I will def be back!

Even though it's my family who owns the campground,I'm trying not to be partial.This is truely a unique, beautiful, quite,get away,very down to earth type environment,Mike Evans is a wonderful person as a host,he's always hard working and aiming to see you have a quite peaceful get away,if you're looking for some peace and quiet, without all the glitz and glamour, your coming to the right place.

Very Nice beach (not typical ocean beach but beautiful). Excellent service by small team of staff who keeps running around from early morning till late night. Mike in particular was very helpful and a great guy.

Camp Merryelande is a wonderful place to stay and great to bring your family to. The atmosphere is that of wholesome family fun. Great place for college students or sororities to throw parties. The camp is beautiful with panoramic views of the Chesapeake bay. The cottages make you feel like you are laying on the beach from your bed you can hear the waves hit the shore. I thoroughly have enjoyed multiple stays at camp Merrylande.

Been coming to this place for years, and its always been worth it every time. The crowd and atmosphere has definitely improved and become more family friendly.

In previous years it was a much more care free and wild crowd, although I never had a problem with it. It definitely shows the people and staff here really care about making everyone's stay as comfortable as possible.

Handling my reservation with the folks here over the phone was pleasantly stress free. In fact I had to update and change my reservation to a smaller cottage, and it was absolutely painless. The staff handling reservations were very accommodating and a joy to work with.

I've had the pleasure of staying in 5 of the cottages they offer here (Cottages 12, 3, 9, 10, and 1) and I can say that the consistency and cleanliness within the cottages every time I've checked in is great. You're not going to find any fancy decor like some modern contemporary style themes, you can book a room at the Hilton for that.

What you're going to find in all the cottages is very roomy accommodations that are welcoming and will allow friends and family to enjoy themselves just as much indoors as they will outdoors. No bells and whistles.

Just comfy lazyboys, TV's with your pick of plenty of movie channels, and dining rooms and bedrooms with enough seating and sleeping space for everyone.

One thing I will say to anyone who comes to visit here, load up on bug spray and hydrocortisone because the mosquitos here are no joke. They will eat you alive.

Camp Merryelande was absolutely wonderful! Nice, clean houses right off of the Patomac. Very friendly service (they brought us a fire pit and firewood). Beds and rooms for many, and very comfortable. Would definitely go back, and definitely reccomend!

We rented cottage number 3 and had an amazing time. The cottage had been very recently rennovated and came with a massive 4k combatable HDTV. The cottage was also a room with a door that lead directly outside to a tiki bar. The entire area was directly infront of the beach. I would highly reccomend and will be making frequent return trips this summer.

Beautiful beach, serene in the winter with lots of birds, nature and room to breath. Spent all afternoon on the beach with my 11 month old and didnt see another soul.

It's a great getaway the people are friendly the atmosphere is beautiful! I stayed in the biggest cabin with family and friends and we enjoyed ourselves for the weekend. The best kept secret😊😊😊

This place is rigt on the beach, the cottages were very nice and cozy. The staff is wonderful! They were so accommodating and even gave us free tshirs!

Costs between $15 and $25 to enter camp site. My friends and I camped outside, so I'm unable to provide information on prices for the room rentals, besides that Meerylande is a great place for a weekend getaway.

The staff is friendly the beach is amazing beach camping is awesome and if you want to rent a cottage and just be yourself it's the only place to go

Unique experience camping on the edge of St Mary's river in beautiful St Mary's county Maryland. Families and groups can camp together or apart on awesome St George's island

Amazing place for a weekend getaway, would 100% recommend for friends and families who want a nice mix of beach vibes and adventures

Went for a day trip with visiting family. Sea glass hunting was quite rewarding and enjoyed by all.
