Historic Church circa 1736 constructed 49 years before the American Revolution. Francis Scott Key's great Grandfather Philip Key gave the property and was the overseer of the construction.
He was the first Key to come to this English Colony of St. Mary's.
The structure has a vaulted ceiling and the outside of flemish bone brick from England.

Historic, beautiful, and still active church. Well kept, and worth stopping by and appreciating.

This church is one of a kind. There is a lot of history at this church. For one, it was taken over by the British in the war and use the stable their horses. Check out the cemetery there are a lot of very old tombstones there. BUT please be RESPECTFUL of the residents of the cemetery.
