Dierbergs Markets - West Oak

Hubby and I stopped in here for a Mother's Day gift and to look at their gluten- free food selections. We had heard they had more offerings than many other stores (and they didn't disappoint).

In case you are from out of town - Dierberg's is what I'd call a "premier" grocery store. You are gonna find fancy and awesome stuff here, but it will also be at fancy prices. That said it's worth the indulgent occasionally especially for fresh fruits, vegetables and some of their pre-made options.

It had been awhile since I'd been in to just shop and WOW I was impressed! So many locally made offerings. Loved that. So much variety of everything! They really have so many more options than any other store in STL. We were amazed walking around at all the different options. HUGE shout out to their cheese sections, liquor section, flowers and dessert options.

I'll be back for a splurge and some of those local STL made items that you can't find in stores elsewhere.

I have been to this store many times, and had many good experiences. However, today as I was going into the store an older well dressed white man accosted me and would not let me enter the store until he told me about "how my mask had asbestos in it, the back mold on them would poison me by going into my nose, and the government was trying to kill us and why didn't I know that." I kept nodding my head trying to get him to stop, but he kept going and on. Finally, he let me go into the store. I spoke to a manager about the incident, who took it very seriously and offered to find the man and speak to him, and walk me to my car. However, due to how aggressive the man was I didn't feel comfortable point him out other than a description. The whole experience was very jarring, and I will not be going back alone to the store. I appreciate the kindness shown from the management during this incredibly scary occasion.

Take it from me, this one is different, and the workers make it great. They are friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there, and grocery items have reasonable prices.

Went to the bakery looking for something very specific! They didn’t have it but Christina came out and helped me find the best substitute I could. She was amazing! If you can’t find it talk to her! Best Dierbergs ever!!! FYI she’s the adorable one!

Love their deli. Good food. Good Service. Really enjoyed being served yesterday. Left with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

I ordered flowers for my sister who is retiring after 34+ years of service to the United States Postal Service. I am in Atlanta and everything was done over the phone. The flowers that were initially delivered were not the best and while my sister was appreciative of the gesture, she was not pleased with the flower arrangement. I told her I would make a call. I called Dierbergs and spoke with the florist department. I can’t remember the lady I spoke to but she was very apologetic and offered to make it right. They did just that. They offered GREAT customer service and they made it right. My sister was so happy which made me happy because I love her so much. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU DIERBERGS! I did call and express my thanks for the awesome customer service.

Today, 8/6/16, at 8:00am in the seafood section we were served by the most friendly, helpful employee. Unfortunately her nametag was obscured and we didn't catch her name, but kudos! Love great service and all the employees here have always been friendly and helpful. Great produce department and craft beer selection, as well!

I love this location. The layout is great and the store seems very clean and modern. They have a great selection and I always find everything we need. I absolutely love Dierbergs, they are my favorite grocery store of everything that is in the area!

this is my fav hangout spot. however they did not have strawberry wafers. upset me alot. love . here. i like this place its clean and the emploued are nice. the old lady from yesterday was really nice she em need raise. i love this pleasel.

love this Dierbergs, the customer service is top notch and the variety of produce and products are superior quality. The pharmacy is the best. Everyone that works there is professional and friendly, they work together as a team and they all seem to know what is going one.

Dierbergs IS A WONDERLAND OF FOOD DRINK and products.
I would shop here during the Pandemic just to feel happy. The way it never runs out of product s, makes it easy to get what you need.
They literally have all the new products you see on adverts. I can get lost in the store finding magic every where I look. Or go fast to grab my basics. It's up to you how you navigate this incredible experience:).

Or hit the fast do it yourself self checkout lanes. I never have to stand in line for either. So epic.
And I didn't even tell you about the ready food s from Chinese to fried chicken.chicken salad to pasta house salad Jillys cupcake s to Every pie known to man Holy beans were talking EVERYTHING. And it is ALL BEYOND DELICIOUS. MM MM

I came in the store looking to purchase fresh salmon and noticed the seafood section was closed. Amanda Baker one of the store managers quickly came to the rescue and reopened the seafood section and provided me with what i needed for our family’s dinner tonight. Thanks Amanda and Dierbergs

I have never tried to use Dierberg's pharmacy until the CVS pharmacy staff didn't take care of my insurance information properly (It was about Caremark) . So I ended up paying the regular price. I decided to try the Dierberg pharmacy becasue we go to Deirburgs all the time and Walgreen is a little further from where I live. Oh boy, they are truly a friendly hometown pharmacest. I don't remember the pharmacest's name, I think his first name was Jon. He was very professional and kind. Also, he was the one who discovered our Caremark information was not properly placed, which the CVS staff didn't figure out, and he was able to fix it. He even printed out and gave me a copy of the caremark info (all the ids etc). I also got a $10 gift card for being first time user.
The other two workers were friendly as well. While I was waiting for the medicine I saw the interactions between customers and pharmacy staff, I was so surprised that the pharmacist knew them so well. Very impressive. I highly recommend to use Dierburg pharmacy (West Oak one) over CVS or Walgreen (I used Walgreens for a long time unstil CVS built one in CC).

We generally mostly shop at Schnucks as Dierbergs is a little more expensive, however for meat and produce and prepared foods the 2 Dierbergs near us beat Schnucks even if its a little more $! We like to get pork cutlet cube steaks & if they don't have any they'll happily make some up! Lately with the heat I have been going and picking up a Chicken Dinner on my way to get my dad home from Church & they are always pretty quick & if something isn't ready they have more coming.
Also they always have plenty of staff, I have on several occasions had to bag my own at Schnucks but not once here, unless I'm using self check out.
Everyone is friendly and helpful and stores are very clean and have a huge selection of items!

Clean, great variety, excellent produce, no stocking problems, deli is awesome, help when you want it and you can't beat the bakery.

I ordered a flower arrangement and teddy bear for my daughters Pre school graduation! I realized I set it for tomorrow not today so I called to cancel it! I was taken care of by a lady named Mary Anne or Mary jo my phone was cutting it out! I was so disappointed but she told me don’t worry I will have it ready for you today at 5pm!! SHE SAVED THE DAY!! She made sure my daughters first graduation would go off without a snag and I’m so grateful!! I will NEVER go anywhere else to get my flowers!

Always friendly and helpful, good produce, lots of choice, clean stores, prices fair, been shopping at the 11000 Olive store for decades and i love it!
