We had our annual Christmas party at Tall Timbers Marina and we couldn't be happier. The food was great and so was the service. They have great gluten free and alpha gal friendly menu options. Definitely would recommend them!

Intentionally and with enthusiasm; give this marina a visit.

I'll be forward. Don't expect a full service arrival off season. This is a marina of modest and humble means. A true relic of maritime community and origin. Sitting just off the mouth of the Potomac a few miles up the river, you can find a wonderful little marina and the Reluctant Navigator Restaurant where the regulars gather to enjoy a Sunday morning breakfast.

Serious sailors and casual boaters alike should find this little nook of Herring Creek to be a safe haven from inclimate weather and teeming with help and hospitality. Be mindful of the tides if you have a draft over 3 or 4 feet. The channel can be shallow.

Hot coffee and a nicely thought-out breakfast bar are sure to suit most, and perhaps even delight those with a hankering for some homestyle food. You know, the kind of plate you add your biscuits, cornbeef and hash, bacon, and sausage and then smother it in gravy. It's sure to satisfy those empty stomach hunger pains and warm you to the core.

Having trouble finding the place, call them up, and perhaps you will get a hold of Rick or another one of his crew that can help you navigate your way into the creek.

Don't forget to fill up at the fuel dock on the way out. You will also want to grab some swag to commemorate the visit, so check out the supply of hats, t-shirts, and long-sleeved boating shirts.

Look them up online or give them a call to find out all they offer.

I had gone through 3 other marine mechanics before I took my boat down to Casey at Tall Timbers. He took the time to figure out the problem and get it running, was very communicative and even took the time to call and check the first time I took it out. He’s worth the drive down to Southern Maryland.

Oh my goodness we love this place! It’s such a happy and friendly atmosphere. It’s clear that the owners and staff love what they do. The main meal (veggie burger and huge crab cake) were amazing but the star of the show was definitely the smoked oysters. Amazing!! Take the time to make the visit. You won’t be disappointed. And you can drop you boat or kayak in on site. A great destination for many occasions.

Went out on Belladoe charters from this marina. It's a great spot for anyone looking to get out on the water and catch some fish!

Came into the marina unannounced due to weather and high seas. While the marina was closed foe Thanksgiving I met the owners son who appeared to be working anyway. Great covered spot for us to park the boat until we can get back and take The Viking back to the home port at Flag Harbor Marina. Thank you very much for the refreshments as well!!!

After a morning of great fishing on the Potomac River with my fishing buddies; we decided to grab lunch at the Tall Timbers Marina restaurant. The door was opened so we walked right inside. We were greeted by the owner, chef, and other staff members. The owner let us know that the restaurant wasn't scheduled to open until 5:00 PM. The team was there to prep for season opening that evening. What happened next made our day! The chef and owner offered to make lunch for us and we accepted the offer. The food was very good and the entire staff were so friendly and accommodating. The oysters were particularly wonderful and we learned they grow and harvest their own oysters! I've gone on about this great establishment because it's rare to receive this high level of service and great fresh food at a reasonable price! Do yourself a favor and visit the restaurant at the Tall Timbers Marina. I'm sure you'll love it as much as we did.....

After a ice cold morning of fishing we stopped in Tall Timbers Marina by boat at 12pm
Owner informed us they were on winter hours and didn't open til 5pm but waved us in anyway let us sit at the bar and made us a pot of coffee and the kitchen lady heated a few muffins up ,no charge!
Yep I highly recommend this place!
Going back soon to have a full meal

This place is a hidden gem. Came in for breakfast and was not disappointed. The staff was very pleasant. Ms Claudia at the omelette bar was AMAZING, friendly and her food was delicious. I think I’ve found my Sunday morning family breakfast spot. If you’re close by check it out. If you’re not close by MAKE THE TRIP, it’s worth it.

Wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere, lots of nautical memorabilia, and excellent service. We had fried chicken and prime rib. Both were very good, but too much to eat in one sitting.

Very homey, good old fashioned family run business. Everyone is extremely pleasant. I've never used the Marina's services, but make sure you check out the on-premise Reluctant Navigator restuarant. Great, family-style food and a pretty good beer selection. Last time we went we had Heavy Sea's and Harpoon on tap. Thursday's are "wing night" and Sunday's serve up a mean brunch. Check it out! Highly recommend.

TT is the best! We kept our sailboat here for two months while we took a trip out of state. Rick and his crew are super nice and very competent. The breakfast buffet on the weekend is a must do! Rick’s Bloody Mary is probably the best one east of the Mississippi.
