Hampton Inn Dumfries

We stayed here a couple of nights ago. It’s right off of I-95 & very close to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, which is where we had an event the next day. The lobby was clean and the front desk employees were very friendly. It smelled really good when we walked in, all the way from the lobby to the elevator to the room. I appreciate a good smelling place, but it was also very clean. I’m particular about cleanliness and when I checked the room, it was immaculate. Breakfast was good and the woman who worked in that area was very friendly as well. The only thing I would say is that the fitness room was very small. It has a treadmill, bike, elliptical, bench with dumbbells and a variety of sizes of medicine balls. It’s just a super tight fit, but I was able to make it work. Overall, this is a great hotel and I’d stay here again.

Good place to stop just off I-95. Near plenty of restaurants and shops.
Breakfast included is nothing spectacular, but more than adequate.
Hotel management is excellent.

Stayed last night. Room was good, clean, plenty of towels. Very nice staff as well. Breakfast was also good. Convenient location right off 95. Hotel was quiet and close to several eateries. I’d go back.

Good stay but miss the cookies. They said no more cookies due to co-vid, which is inconsistent with all other Hampton Inns. Co-vid is over and after driving for many hours to arrive there, would really appreciate Dumfries Hampton Inn re instituting the cookie policy like all the other Hampton Inns. That is why we pick Hampton Inn over a different property. Thanks much! Otherwise it was a good stay and we recommend it.

I am a member of BNI, and we use this location to hold our weekly meeting. The staff are amazing, the facility is always clean, overall great atmosphere.

Lobby bathroom is top notch and is kept in great condition, will definitely be back!

We stopped here on our drive from
NY to SC. Wasn’t quite half way but it was such an easy book and check in with our toddler twins in the middle of the night. The rooms were large, beds and pillows comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully updated. The free breakfast was so convenient with healthy options and things that pleased the entire family. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, particularly housekeeping! Would stay here again, and at and Hampton Inn.

The girls that are working here are awesome! I can’t say enough good things about them. They helped us in so many ways. We had a toilet overflow at night (which was not a hotel problem) and the night girl went above and beyond to help us. Then our rental car wouldn’t start and the morning girl tried to help us jump our car. They were both so kind and helpful. The hotel was nice and clean but your staff is awesome! They deserve raises for putting up with us!

The nicest hotel, extremely clean. Rooms seemed larger and very inviting. Every staff member I spoke to was so incredibly nice, and went out of their way to offer help. We encountered very bad weather and wound up staying here unexpectedly and boy were we glad we picked this hotel, would love to stay here again!

Rolled in at 2 AM after an 18 hour drive from South Florida. Was met by Kevin at the front desk who could not have been nicer or more pleasant! He could see that we were a bit frazzled and got us checked in and squared away as quickly as he could. The hotel lobby smelled fresh and clean. Our room was spotless. The beds were well made, soft and fresh smelling as well. Plenty of soft towels, plus a few extra face cloths in the bathroom - also spotless! Very nice stay on our way home. I would definitely stay here again. And a big thank you to Kevin again for being such a welcoming representative for this hotel!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good rates. Be advised that you can’t easily walk across the highway to get to the better dining establishments, so you’re stuck with limited options for dining if you want to walk. There’s a pool and a small cardio room with a Peloton bike and two treadmills. Breakfast is good and opens at 6am.

I travel often and prioritize my overnight stats in Hilton Hotels, this Hampton Inn is by far one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in a long while. My room was clean and comfortable. The one day I requested service, the cleaning staff exceeded my expectations (i.e. no random hairs left on the shower wall that don’t belong to me) by cleaning my entire room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a pleasant stay. 5 stars!

This hotel was the best. From the reception to the cleanliness and the breakfast. We were very satisfied as customers. The professionalism is what got me: Excellent 👌

We got here after traveling from Florida for 12 hrs. Super tired. Ebony greeted us with a smile and compassion. Our room was immaculate and nice and cool. Hot breakfast was a plus. Will definately stay here again. 😁

I booked two rooms for my family members who came in from out of town for a family emergency. The reception staff at this location was wonderful. Check in was easy. Lobby very inviting. I was happily delighted at the cleanliness of the rooms (one was standard, the other a suite). It allowed my family to have a good night's sleep after and before their travels.
The parking lot is well lit and the location is close to the highway. I've lived in Dumfries over 20 years and NEVER thought we'd have a hotel this nice here. Made me proud to be an honors member.

I was greet with a big smile from the night manager, Michael. The room is clean and has fresh smell. Everything was working as it should. I enjoyed the available full breakfast. This is one of the nicest Hampton Inn if not the nicest that I ever stayed. Definitely will stay here again.

My group of Veteran motorcycle riders have stayed at this hotel multiple times and always leave impressed by their service to us. They work with us on a group rate, then also make other accommodations we may need while there. A+ and you can’t go wrong staying here.

What can I say except that Hampton wherever I travel will always be my place of stay. But I learned one lesson tho, had to leave @ 3:30 am in the dark because the lights were out. Had to walk down 4 flights of stairs to found my way to front desk so that I could get to airport. I'm never getting a room upstairs for me and my bad knees it was hard. But overall my stay was good.

The room was very clean, and the breakfast was great. Also, a woman named Ebony at the front desk was extremely helpful. I booked my room for the wrong day, but she was able to find an open room anyways. I appreciate it, and will be staying here again!
