The staff at Maplewood Bicycles is so friendly - they immediately made me feel welcome and valued. It's clear that they all LOVE cycling and helping others enjoy it too. Chris took the time to learn about my bikes' histories and carefully explain what he was looking at and why as he checked them both in for a cleaning and tune-up. I cannot overstate how impressed I (a middle-aged female non-athlete with inexpensive bikes) was to be in a bike shop that didn't make me feel invisible. Most importantly, they did a BEAUTIFUL job on my bikes: they are now safety-checked and in perfect shape for winter riding and next season! I had an excellent experience with Maplewood Bicycles and I recommend their work to everyone, no matter how much or how little you bike.

Drove from out of town because they had a great sale on the bike I needed and they had my size in stock. Great service and they made the whole process easy. They also helped me set it up with my measurements and gave me a discount on accessories. Overall a great experience! Loving the Trek Checkpoint!!

Personalized, friendly service from knowledgable folks who clearly enjoy what they're doing. Expert fitting and excellent, reasonably priced service/tunes. They helped me to customize my bike and really make it mine; it rides/performs better and more comfortably than when it was new. Their prices are competitive and they make solid recommendations for equipment they don't stock but think will work for you. They make recommendations based on your needs rather than suggesting the most expensive options. In fact, I had suggested a more expensive upgrade than actually I needed, and they hooked me up with a less expensive option that was exactly what I did need. They saved me over $100 and cemented in my mind that they serve their customers rather than oversell, which is so common in this industry. But the ultimate proof of their excellence is that both my wife and I are enjoying biking together more than we ever have, and their expertise has resulted in us being able to enjoy more time together and improve our fitness while doing so. I drive past a lot of decent bike shops to get to this one, the BEST bike shop in St Louis.

Purchased a KUAT bike rack from them. They put the thing together for me and showed me how it worked. Extremely patient salesperson. Bike shop employees can be real snobs. Not here. Highly recommended

Great bike shop! Just purchased another Trek Domane for the wife from Maplewood bike shop today. They took the time to fit her, had her test ride the bike & answer all questions. She now has a nice road bike that fits her perfectly. Chris also did a great job helping me with my bike. I would recommend Maplewood to anyone looking for a new bike, parts or service!

Super nice and helpful staff. If you’re looking for a road, gravel, or mountain bike this place is legit (all new bikes are Trek) and the staff are always more than willing to help. Was able to purchase some gear recently that was half off and a bargain compared to what was online.

I’ve also brought my bike here for a tuneup. The bike mechanic was probably one of the chillest/nicest dudes I’ve met. Gave me some solid advice on my bike and was good to go. Love this place.

I love this bike shop. They give great service, are very knowlegable and give me terrific advice. I don't know a ton about the mechanics of the parts and systems, even though I'm an avid rider, and they never talk down to me, nor over my head. I don't go anywhere else but Maplewood.

The technical knowledge and competency is excellent among the team in the build/maintain/repair part of the business. Pricing is always fair and competitive and the product line contains everything from entry level recreational equipment to elite competitive gear. Why go anywhere else?
