A-1 Archery

I have 3 other bow shops here in MN that are all within 15-20 minutes of my house but, I gladly drive the 35 minutes to A-1. I have never had service like the service I receive every time I walk into that store. Being relatively new to bow hunting it is beyond helpful to have guys like Big Mike, Brian, and John to be able to bounce questions off of. Every person I have worked with at A-1 has been nothing short of amazing. I just took my sisters boyfriend here today to have his bow sighted in/tuned he had bought at fleet farm last year. Within 5 minutes of being in the store John, Brian, and Big Mike said he needed a left handed bow instead of a right with a simple eye test. They worked with him on trading in his bow to get a left handed bow and after a couple hours he left, now a lefty, shooting tight groups at 50 yards. I could go on and on. Don’t shop anywhere else. I've been to bow shops all over the world and I have a fair understanding of the nature of the archery industry. A-1 is different and better.

The norm since Covid began was that everything archery is on backorder, that services take about 6 weeks, and if you didn't buy the bow from the specific retailer, you are SOL and need to go somewhere else. That is what is NORMAL for the archery industry.

I was new to the area and they were VERY helpful. I brought them a bow I did not buy from them that is from a brand they do not carry, they were complimentary of my bow and were willing to work on it while I waited. A+.

I've brought guests with me on several occasions of several ethnicities and religions and they were 100% welcoming to every guest I brought, treating them as a valuable potential customer.

My last trip into the shop, my bow would not shoot properly whatsoever. They took the time to diagnose a couple of minor issues, let me go behind the counter for a papertune, reinstalled a drop away rest I did not tune properly, and encouraged me to retune several times until it was perfect. After a year's hiatus from practice, the bow they tuned for me shot six Xs in the first six shots on their range. It was perfectly managed services by both the technician (Brian?) and Little John.

I give them a lot of credit for being open minded and understanding with their customers. My bows are all oddball custom bows from an obscure manufacturer, my arrow setup is very non-typical, and my hunting preferences aren't the norm either. While it may not be their preferences in what they sell, they were very helpful getting my setup I didn't buy from them working perfectly. A+ rating. (1.5 hours in of skilled labor and shop supplies for <$50? A total bargain)

By far, the best run, most helpful, and most diplomatic archery shop in America.

I came in 15 minutes before close and the guys there were willing to help me get completely set up. Stayed there 45 minutes after they closed to make sure I was comfortable leaving there with what I had. I will go back there even having a two hour drive for all me needs now. Thanks again guy! Sorry for having you miss the packers vs Vikings game for a bit.

My daughter and I took a beginners class here and my daughter liked it so much that she joined the homeschooling league. Dana is a great teacher. She has a strict emphasis on safety while also keeping it fun. I highly recommend.

I bought my muddy soft side 360 blind last year from A1 archery Beyond awesome service from these guys when I walk in little John was right there helping me out! I hunter in it all last year over my food plot now this year I wanted to make it 10 ft so I called down to A1 archery and talk to Sean this time there blind expert! What a awesome guy he had what I was looking for. Help me load it and everything I drove a hour and half and it was worth it ! AWESOME service you guys ! Here are some before and after pics in case people are woundering about the muddy soft side 360 blind!! It’s well worth the money and easy to put togeather. Took about 2 hours all togeather to assemble last year then a hour to put extension on this year

Unknowingly visited the store during their 'Customer Appreciation Day.' In pulling up to the store I observed a long line outside waiting to get in. I immediately felt a sense of panic as I had left home very early to get there when they opened to avoid a crowd!

I found the bow I made the trip for and while waiting in line to make the purchase, Dan walked up to me and asked if I was the person he had communicated with the previous couple of days. I acknowledged I was that person and he and Travis made sure the bow was set up and tuned perfectly before I left the store.

This was obviously a big day for the shop and seeing them still provide fantastic service was really impressive. I definitely plan to visit the store again in the future!

Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. In my experience they don't try to oversell you. Archery range here is pretty good. 20 yards indoor 70 yards outdoor.

Huge selection and very knowledgeable staff. Had great private lessons with Dana, and they went above and beyond to turn around an emergency repair overnight. I won't go anywhere else!

I can’t thank Brian Niedzielski and the crew over at A-1 enough. I came in last week prior to a hunt in southwest ND. My compound needed tuning badly, “bow jesus” got me taken care of. Look no further for help. These guys are a one stop shop. Great people, great service and quality products. Keep up the good work!

Ordered this refurbished bulldog 400 off eBay A1 was seller. I extremely happy with this package. Everything come In original packaging and all extras Case, stringer, cocker come brand new in original packaging with tags! I feel like this was a heck of a good deal especially knowing what a phenomenal warranty Excalibur has. Thanks A1

Yesterday was my first time in the shop and these guys are the real deal. I came in shortly before closing and they had no problem sticking around to help me out, answer my questions, and work with me to create a plan to get my bow back into shooting condition. These guys were awesome, John and Dan specifically were great! I was recommended this shop by a friend and man am I glad I made the drive to have my bow worked on here. Had a very poor experience at another shop closer to home and was hesitant to make the (longer) drive but man am I glad I did. I will recommend this shop to anyone I know!

What can I say. I walked into A-1 on Monday to let the boy shoot my bow and see if it would work for him. After a couple shots, it was determined some adjustments needed to be made. It just so happened Brian walked in and next thing you know, he was teaching the boy how to properly shoot a bow. Not only did Brian teach him properly, he re-setup the bow for us and spent time with us when he had others waiting for him as well.
The whole store was busy with customers and all the employees were working their tails off. I can’t say enough about the experience we had. I’ll never buy another bow at a big box store, that’s for sure. The experience with the boy was so good I decided to buy a new bow for myself two days later.
To the owner, Brian, and the rest of the crew: you guys are awesome. Can’t wait to pick up the new bow.

As a newer participant in the archery sport I am so glad I settled on A1 as the shop to help me. Every single person working there has a deep knowledge based on experience which shows at every interaction. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to support this shop!

Have you ever questioned if your bow is tuned right? Or why your shots never seem to be consistent ? Or maybe your whole rig is a little off? This is the place to go. Brian here fixed what other bow shops pushed me out the door with. He took not just the time to fix bow, but explain to me every step along the way and show me the corrective action. Now if this wasn’t enough, he examined my shot, and he truly broke it down and started me back to the fundamentals. His exact words were “I don’t care if this takes you days, if we can’t get the fundamentals right, I won’t set up this bow for you to be wrong and have issues and frustration.” From bow repairs to archery coaching. This is the place to go. I have been to dozens of bow shops around the country, this is the best of the best. Brian will be the only guy I bring my bow too. Even if it means driving across the state !

They guys are great was looking for a certain part not made anymore. While one guy was trying to Jerry rig something for me the other guy came out from the back room carrying the exact part I was search for. Then the price they charged was more than fair. A great job to both those guys.

Best selection for Mathews gear in the metro. It can get quite busy before opener so plan accordingly. Great staff.

Showed up after work had some time to kill wanted to try a bow or 2 and wow am I impressed. These guys really know their stuff and very helpful. Took the time to set up 3 bows for me to shoot. Needless to say I returned the next day and bought one haha looking forward to future business

7 years later I’m ready for a new bow. Brian got me squared away set up a few different bows for me and helped me pick one out for my bad shoulders. Was having some trouble getting my single pin dialed in. Came back and Dan helped me out took the time to check the bow out and we got everything squared away. Love this place and the people are awesome. Customer service is great. Customer for life!!

I have been to many bow shops around the twin cities and WI. The majority are very good, I don’t have anything bad to say. However, A1 is by far the best shop we have been to. We purchased two bows from them about a year ago. Since then the workmanship, setups, and continuing excellent service after the sale is the reason this is the shop we drive 50 minutes to come see when we need something done correctly! Everyone we have dealt with has had personality and has been fun to deal with.

Warranty issue w my Wicked Ridge Rampage 360 that was NOT even purchased from them, and they cannibalized from there own crossbows to fix mine, in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS, and during height of bow season at that!!! Phenomenal service, 10 stars if I could. About 1 week later the same crossbow had the same issue, and they fixed it, SAME, DAY, UNBELIEVABLY EXCELLENT SERVICE. Prompt to say the least. Impressive.
