Love this place! The atmosphere is so fun, mellow, calming, and draws out the happiness within. The staff is kind, nice, and service with a smile! Also, the owner is fun, friendly, down to earth, and wise! Feels like an old, best friend! Definitely visiting again!

I ordered cookies for my daughter's birthday. I messaged them on Facebook and then received my order confirmation through email. Very quick response and so easy to work with! The cookies were beautiful and delicious. Will definitely support them again.

The lemon squares are perfect like I love them. Lightly crispy on the top and still a bit jellied in the center. The cinnamon rolls are so light and fluffy. Yummy! I will be spreading the word.

I ordered a cake for my mother’s 90th birthday. It was beautifully decorated and delicious! I will definitely use The Yellow Squirrel again!

I recently had my first experience with this bakery, and let me tell you it was more than I expected. We were celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday and she originally decided that she didn’t want a cake and at the last minute she changed her mind. Well I was traveling out of town for work and we only had a few days before her big day. I did a search for local bakeries and Yellow Squirrel came up. I reached out and they promptly responded. They were able to squeeze me in. I sent them over a picture of the cake design and the finished product was well beyond our expectations. When I arrived to pick up the cake the ambiance in this place was incredible and so serene. The energy in that place was so creative. Thank you Yellow Squirrel for putting a smile on my daughter’s face. The cake was not dry and the icing was not over-bearing. We thoroughly enjoyed every piece. I will definitely be showing up to use some of the creative energy to assist me in my writing journey.

How I love thee! Fresh and delicious with above and beyond customer service. Did I mention coming through the same day! We got an assortment and some amazing banana pudding for my moms 70th and I can say enough sweet things about this place. So good and truly great experience. Thanks for making our day so special! The yellow squirrel has hands down the best macarons I’ve ever tasted, her cupcakes are super moist and her party cakes and cookies are the absolute cutest for our parties! It was such a great experience stopping in for a sweet treat with great customer service! Highly recommend this bakery!!

We stopped here around 3:00 p.m. on our way to McComb, MS. We were craving "cookies & coffee." The chocolate chip cookies were very good. The maple pecan cookies were the perfect combination of "sweet & salty." We will definitely be back!! Also, the staff was very friendly & helpful!! Great experience!!

The Yellow Squirrel is point blank best of the best. Never ate a bad cookie, cake, muffin, etc. It’s all phenomenal. The owner is an absolute rockstar! I’ve been eating her treats for years now and have no plan to stop anytime soon! 10/10 recommend for any and all of your “sweet” endeavors! :) you won’t regret it!

But seriously... this place is awesome! I wanted a brownie so, per my wifes instruction, I stopped here. I was shocked at the selection when I walked in and because my wife stayed in the truck (therefore leaving me with no adult supervision) 20 minutes later I walked out with 1 box and 2 bags of warm fresh baked amazingness, to include that brownie I mentioned earlier. These people know what they are doing. The best part is, it's an actual full on bakery. This isn't like ALL the other "bakeries" in and around Madison where they just sell cookies and brownies.

They DO sell cookies and brownies but they also have fresh bread (AMAZING!), petit-fours, blondies, brownies, brookies, lemon squares, cake pops, cakes, pies, cupcakes, and even cobblers (if I remember correctly). The owner also told me she does fresh biscuits, yeast rolls, dressing, croissants and other holiday specialties.

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TRYING THIS PLACE!

Nice little after school treat stop. Right down the street from MRA. We got the oatmeal and funfetti cookies and cake in a jar. The cookies were huge and very good, more than enough to share.

Wonderful bakery with the most delicious sweets! Cupcakes, cookies, macarons, just to name a few…all of it is delicious, and the custom cakes are absolutely beautiful!
