Was AT FIRST very disappointed in the curbside service offered at this location. I showed up and checked in. As I pulled in there were 2 young boys loading up a truck with a few items. They then slowly shuffled back into the store. I then waited almost an hour before anyone came out with my order. I was the only person in curbside and there were workers everywhere walking by to get carts one by one and stumble around talking with no sense of urgency what so ever. Finally after waiting that long I called the store (I waited the hour assuming they were busy). I was connected with an employee named Liz who informed that she was new but happy to try and help. Liz was extremely friendly and personable on the phone even though I could hear her multitasking in the background dealing with customers. Within a few minutes Liz brought my order out to me personally. She was very professional and apologetic. I jokingly asked if she was working alone to which she informed me she was training, and kept getting left alone by her coworkers. This is all too normal in the work industry now and it’s shame. Liz was amazing and I would return to Lowe’s specifically to say hello and see how her day is going. Hopefully after training she fast tracks through the company because she’s a worker and understands customer service even when under pressure and uncertainty. Thank you Liz you made our day!!!!

My closest LOWES and our place to go for any project. Well stocked with friendly service and helpful staff, the location is convenient and accessible even with a larger truck or trailer.

Lowes has a good selection of items at decent prices. They would do well to be customer service focused like their orange counterpart.

Update on 2-22-23: The Sylva Lowe's has an employee named Bert who works in the appliance department. Bert single-handedly gained Lowe's another star in my review because he puts customers first. He cares. He gives Lowe's a good name. Bert provided me with hope that Lowe's is no longer a lost cause. Thank you, Bert! You are a shining star and I hope and pray that Lowe's recognizes your worth to their company!

Great place to shop. I have shopped in store and ordered on line for pickup. All your associates were extremely helpful and greeted me when I approached them. I would like to give an extra compliment to Heather who works in the customer pickup area. She is extremely helpful, personable and a great asset for your company. She definitely deserves a raise and or promotion.

Slow but sure, most of the time. Don't let the helpers pick out your lumber, check your merchandise for damage before leaving, say hello to the friendly manager, Arthur. Great guy.

This Lowe's is the closest to my home, so I visit quite often as we are doing a remodel. The Lowe's chain is generally fine home improvement store, but this particular Lowe's has a standout employee in their Kitchen Design Center. John took our general design and turned it into a doable exercise. He suggested ways to save money, simplify the installation, and improved our original concept. With many thanks to John's great efforts, we will soon have a remarkable, updated, and convenient kitchen. Wife and I couldn't be happier.

Update. Couple of months have passed and we couldn't be happier with the kitchen. John from Lowe's is still a hero. It's a very functional kitchen and the final price was under budget.

Today at Lowes I had 3 very helpful young men help me. The first one was Alex, he found and loaded the patio table I wanted and then found 2 other young men to help me with the rest. These two were Gabe and Austin, they went above and beyond to help me get everything I was wanting. These are the most attentive and helpful people I've encountered in a while at this Lowes! I hope the manager knows what Awesome workers he has! Thank you again Alex, Gabe and Austin!

The girl in the paint department was amazing! I believe her name was "KT"? I have visited Lowes several times over the past month trying to pick out the right stain for my decks. Every time she has been there she has went above and beyond to approach me and help me through the process. She is highly educated in the department as well. During this particular visit she come over to me while I was loading two five gallon buckets into the cart and asked if I would like to have them shaken. I was ready to walk out the door without doing this, oblivious that it was recommended. She needs a raise! Very impressed with her customer service skills and work ethic.

I had a nightmare experience with a GE dryer that I purchased from Lowes in August of 2021. Apparently they had no one in our area to fix it. So GE had to replace it. Well, it took 6 weeks to get a new one. If it hadn't been for the wonderful Amber at the Sylva, NC store, I am not sure if I would have ever gotten one. But she made it happen In one day. After waiting 6 weeks speaking to other people. I just had to get to her. Pay attention Lowes, she is wonderful!!!

Store was very clean and employees were very helpful. Also they have a wide selection of bird feeders and seed. Now I can see and hear birds everyday!! :) working on a lattice for our patio now and they have all I need.

I gotta say its always a refreshing change a pace to get help at these big stores! This store in particular was very clean with lots of masks! The service in particular by one individual really impressed me! A young man named Liam really seemed to know the store like the back of of his hand. He helped me organize my task list and I believe should be looked at for a leadership roll! To be honest I managed and Ace hardware for several years and hardly ever go to these big box stores. But employees like Liam have changed my mind! This guy needs a raise and should be training the rest of the staff to operate just like him.

Bert provided wonderful service! Not only was he the one who greeted us cheerily, he later helped us locate a number of things. He was a big help! Kathi was also an absolute gem at the check out. Really great service at this location!

it's amazing how becoming a homeowner automatically makes Lowes your favorite place to shop. everyone in the store that I've come across has being extremely helpful. they always seem to have everything I need in stock but as any big chain stores should.

I had to order some stuff for winterizing my cabin and purchase a lay down freezer chest and Bert went thru all the details with me and also helped me decide on a couple of near future purchases and was just the best help. Really appreciate my local Lowe's Home Improvement store.

Over all a good very good experience. I shop at the Sylva store quite often. I was able to find everything on my list. The cashier was knowledgeable and quick. I had a lot of heavy material to load so an associate helped me load it and provided plastic to cover some of the items that needed to be kept dry. It was raining.
