I would like to send my appreciation to Wendy Michael Bittle. Wendy's compassion in handling my Mother's arrangements made for a very personnel experience. Her respect, support, kindness, & caring throughout the process made life a lot easier during this difficult time.

Again many thanks to Wendy!!

I went today to purchase the burial plots for my parents. Wendy was wonderful and so helpful to me. It is a beautiful place/peaceful place in Clemmons and she is doing a great job. It is beautiful and peaceful place to put a loved one to rest. Thank you, Wendy for helping me during this time for my parents.

My father was layed to rest here in January 2016.I found Sharon,Julie and everyone to be very sympathetic and understanding.I wanted a special headstone for my father dipicting the things he really enjoyed. Sharon took the time to help me pick out and design the perfect one. It not only has the pickup he loved, one of the race cars he drove, the back ground of the ocean he loved to go to,but it was all done in color. It is more beautiful than I even imagined. They are surely 5 Star in my book.
Thanks Again

UPDATE on our lawn care program, "Sides Sodding and Seeding" form Lexington, NC
were here yesterday (May 10, 2013) and sowed grass in ALL our bare spots and blew straw and limed everything ! We are excited about the out come! With some showers this afternoon, things should fill in nicely ! Thanks to Johnny Sides and "Nacho" and all the crew, they are amazing !

We have a dear friend and two family members interned at Westlawn. Our friend was in 1986, family members in 2014 and 2021. Since 1986 we have noticed a definite decline in the upkeep of the lawn, many weeds and no grass in many areas. Now pine nuggets on graves instead of grass. When you visit office to discuss lack of perpetual care, the person you need to talk to is never there and they will have that person call you. We never received a call. Sharon Wise, think she is office manager, says she is not responsible for the lawn upkeep. I guess since perpetual care is state regulated we will have to find out who to contact in Raleigh.

Since posting this review, the business has contacted me and made their best attempt to make this situation better. I will leave this here though so anyone else that has to go through this process will know what questions to ask, triple check details are in order, and mostly they won't have to work with the same man we did.

From the beginning it has been a mess but this was the final straw:

My stepdad over communicated for the plans and needs of today’s inurnment. When we got there, the man who was supposed to help us had no clue what was going on and just kept saying “she didn’t tell me what to do”. And kept asking US, THE GRIEVING FAMILY what to do and how to do it. He got the urn out of the temporary holding place brought it down and opened it up. He was not wearing a mask. I’m supposed to get married in two weeks and he was standing over us coughing and with no mask. Fast forward to the fact that we were unprepared to pour our own moms ashes into the new urn. The man spilled some ashes initially opening the bag. As I’m crying and helping transfer the ashes... they’re getting all over us. This is just something a grieving family should not have to put up with after several times of my stepdad asking should he take it to a funeral home to get that process done or who would do it. He was told it will be fine, we will do it, no need. Today was more than disappointing and frustrating. There was no vase on the plaque for the flowers.

Very poor grounds maintenance and follow thru. Our loved one was buried there in early May of this year. When I visited today, Thanksgiving, they still have not planted grass on the grave or added the flower vase to the headstone..
