Motor Haus Schweikart

As a mother of two young children it is important to trust the person maintaining your vehicle. Motor Haus Schweikart has that trust from me and has had that trust from my family for more than 30 years. They are reliable, friendly and even more important they are knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to send anyone owning a Mercedes to them. Also, their new location is extremely easy to get to just right off 35W!

We had a wonderful experience using their services for spark plugs & brakes in my GLK and an auxiliary battery in my C300. They do great work, have great customer service & are reasonably priced. Will definitely go back for service in the future!

This place is the best! I was in the market for a Benz CLK cabriolet, and Gabrielle literally told me EVERYTHING to look out for. She spent 15 minutes with me on the phone. Carl was extremely helpful in recommending some cars as well. When I finally bought my CLK, Gabrielle hooked me up with their inspection site and confirmed all of my questions. I could not ask for better service and this was ALL over the phone. These people know Mercedes, I trust them with any recommendation they may have. Thank you guys so much.

I used to go to the dealer for service but moved and now it's just too far away for convenience. I started using a local mechanic but they were just "ok" and I wasn't saving anything over the dealership cost. Looking around I stumbled on Motor-Haus Schweikart. Karl Schweikart and his wife are real gems. Karl worked and trained for years at the Daimler-Benz factory in German and has something over 45 yrs. experience. He's even won the Star Technician Award from Mercedes Benz. As much as I trust Karl with my car, it seems to be his wife Gabrielle who keeps things humming along with the business. You owe it to yourself to give them a try.

We have been doing business with the Schweikarts for a number of years and have had nothing but great experiences. I appreciate their honesty and I know I can trust the reliability of their repairs.

I was looking for a car, and started looking at Mercedes. I asked some friends that owned Mercedes if they had a mechanic they trusted. One of my best friends swore by Karl. He looked at some cars for me before buying and helped me to avoid a couple of big mistakes.

I ended up buying a 2006 CLS-500, I thought it was pristine, but there were issues still, but having Karl's opinion and another company, I felt the issues were manageable.

Karl was offering to do the work at a much better price than the Mercedes Dealership (they wanted almost $9K) or the other company who wanted $4.8K. Karl did the work in what I feel is extremely well done, and a very affordable price.

They came by and picked up the car and brought it back. The work was completed two days sooner than I was quoted. They also offered a decent discount for cash, though they do accept cards. They also fixed the headliner, that it was pulling away on the drivers side where whoever was driving must have hit on a regular basis, and they did not charge for this. I kind of think of the people who go the extra mile, always should earn our loyalty, I think Motor Haus Schweikart in Roanoke Texas has done this from my point of view.

They are a "Mom & Pop", so I don't expect to get the level of service I received, I was surprised and pleased to see I made the right decision to use them.

****UPDATE****. - Today is 2/28/2020. In response to the owners wife's comment to my previous review:
This is much more than a perceived inconvenience because the car is non-functional.
Fact check #1: For the numerous repairs incurred, Karl Schweikart requested that the checks be made out directly to him and not to the business (Motor Haus Schweikart). The claim made by his wife, Gabrielle Schweikart, that we did not pay for our many repairs is untrue and deceptive...he obviously did not inform his wife of these payments, hence her claim that we did not pay for the repairs. We made out numerous checks to Karl Schweikart totaling to the amount of $2,770.75. We have bank statements that Karl Schweikart cashed these checks. It seems he does not disclose this information to Gabrielle (his wife and treasurer of the company). We strongly advise Gabrielle not to accuse us for non-payment!
Fact Check #2: Our opinion of Karl Schweikart's incompetence stands because the car was in for the same repair numerous times. We were charged again and again for a total of $1,170.06...again paid to him directly and not to the business. The car is still non-functional since it only starts occasionally and thus is useless to us. Karl is unable repair this, hence our comments of his incompetence.
Fact Check #3: Karl Schweikart maintains a junkyard of old Mercedes Benz and, according to his own statement, uses parts from these used cars. We suspect that he used parts from these old Mercedes for repairs on the car he sold us.
Since the purchase of this car and after numerous repairs, we still have a non-functional automobile. We think it is the heights of arrogance to claim that our problem is "perceived."
This is definitely not a place to get your Mercedes Benz repaired and we do not recommend Motor Haus Schweikart.

We purchased a Mercedes Benz S500 from Motor Haus Schweikart, operated by Karl Schweikart, with the understanding that the motor had been completely overhauled with a 1 year warranty.
The first problem that occurred was oil leaking, the second problem was that the car was overheating. These issues were taken care of.
However, the biggest problem is that the car will start sometimes, but not always and therefore is completely unreliable. The car has been in numerous times for repairs with Karl Schweikart for a total of 8 weeks, but this problem has not been remedied and we cannot drive the car.
Karl Schweikart is fully aware of this problem, but does not return our calls because he obviously is not knowledgeable enough to fix it.
We can honestly say that he is not a competent and licensed Mercedes Benz mechanic who should not be working on these complicated cars.
We will now take the car to a certified dealership for a thorough inspection including a review of all the repair bills that have been accumulated.
