At the base of Pisgah Mountain. Lots of bikes, gear and service, but customer service is what makes this bike shop great. We arrived without knowledge to the area and Matt was incredibly informative and helpful. He drew out on maps to make sure we knew exactly what we were doing and also provided cue sheets. He knew the area and had been on enough trails that he could recommend by skill level. They were also open at 7:30 so they are ready to go when you are. Grab a coffee, see Matt, and go riding.

Man, I just can't say enough good things about this shop. My second bike that I've ordered and they put together. I requested if they could get the bike done a little early and Bam! Their done, super nice shop just wish they were closer. But it's worth driving an hr. This should be the standard of all bike shops. I've been to plenty of shops and Sycamore is top notch.

A staple of the Pisgah cycling community. This place is a must stop on your way through Brevard. A ton of bikes to choose from and rentals as well. One of my favorite coffee shops is here as well. One of the reasons I come here. The staff is friendly and courteous. And will be more than happy to help you have what you need for your bicycling adventure.

Big thanks to Hannah, Nathan and the rest of the crew who got us back in the saddle after many years off the mountain bike trails! I still have my Yeti T-shirt from the 90s and while visiting Brevard was thrilled to ride a brand new Yeti rental bike that was the most amazing machine!

I won't claim to have loads of experience with renting bikes, but Sycamore just set the bar pretty high. I was "that guy" that rolled in just before closing time on a Friday, and the bike was sitting in the stand with my name on it, ready to go. They walked me through the basics of the bike, made sure the seat post was adjusted and fit was suitable, and set me up with a flat repair kit. I was even able to grab a tailgate shuttle pad from them which really came in handy for the weekend. The bike was in great shape - well-equipped and well-maintained. I was the envy of the other (much more avid) mountain bikers in my group the whole weekend, even though I certainly tested the brakes more than the killer suspension on that Yeti. Returning the bike on Sunday was just as painless - dropped off the bike, my unused flat repair kit, and the shuttle pad and was back on the road home in a matter of minutes. I will definitely be back to rent again in the future ... and who knows - maybe even to buy a bike once I get a hang of that whole downhill thing. Thanks again to all the folks at Sycamore!

Drove a long way to only find a broken dropper post on the first ride. Sycamore was able to service right away and I was back at a trail head within the hour. These guys rocked!

This place is truly outstanding when it comes to customer service and bike repairs, super helpful staff they worked on my specialized bike and had the repairs done fast and with extreme attention to detail, highly recommend them

Fantastic service! I was considering getting a Specialized saddle and they offered to get me sized so I got the one that would fit my bum correctly. I was also trying to figure out which model to get and based on the type of riding I do, they recommended one model over the other. I ended up with the Specialized Bridge. I also have a 30 day return option if the saddle doesn’t work out. Throughout the entire process they were extremely helpful and never pushy, and when I checked out they called my by my first name. I walked away impressed with the level of service and care received.

Best place to rent a bike!! I reserved online 3 bikes, when i got there, they where ready to go!! The person who help us went above and beyond, he gave us, helmets, pump, spare tube, tool, he showed us the area on a map

Just purchased a new bike through this location. Best bike buying experience ever! Every step along the way was extremely exceptional! Caleb was highly informative and helpful with helping me find the exact bicycle that fit my needs. Art was amazing with his bike fit capabilities. Chuck was extremely friendly and helpful with informing me of the local trails and rides that the shop offers.

In retirement, I've been owning and trying out different bikes, an obsession from my college days. Sycamore cycles has been my willing accomplice by working on a half dozen bikes so far. They are quick, competent and reasonable in all their work. I doubt I will ever go to any other shop. Sycamore is the best by far!

I drove 2.5 hours to purchase my very first specialized Status mountain bike. The guys were very helpful and know their stuff. I left taken care off and pleased with the service! I’m beyond happy with my purchases and will be visiting back to the shop as I wish to explore more trails in Pisgah Forest Area! Thank you for your time and taking a special care of me! Excellent staff and service, top notch. These wonderful people helped direct me to the most fun trails when I got to town. I ended up finding a bike in my size they had in stock and was able to buy it. They installed a longer dropper on, tapped my fork and swapped my edc multi tool over, then spent time and even went past closing to get me dialed on the bike. They even cleaned, boxed and shipped my other bike home so I could travel with only one bike. They had No attitude of holier than thou toward me for being inexperienced in the biking world. I just can’t say how happy I am with my experience. Thanks again to all the fantastic staff at Sycamore!

Amazing staff with a ton of knowledge and expertise. I never feel pressured into getting too much. I've been in for anything from replacing pedals, drivetrain maintenance, and suspension work. They've exceeded my expectations and almost always ahead of schedule.

Added bonus for having everything you'd need for a ride in Pisgah or Dupont, plus coffee!

Seriously the best. I had a last minute stop after months of riding in various terrains and after having abused my bikes by leaving them on my car rack in all weather (snow, rain, hail...the "best" of conditions). Sycamore took in both bikes (road and mountain) and transformed them both in a day. Truly unheard of--and they were nice about it!

After traveling to and through 25 states, I rank the shop in the top 2 of bike shop visits during the past year. I have mentally thanked them every day since stopping in and can't wait to come back. Super cool shop, bike dudes and amazing vibes (and gear) in one place. Thank you for all the help and expertise. I hope others find out how great y'all are!

I had the best experience with this shop purchased a 2022 stumpjumper Evo. My needs were complicated I was swapping a bunch of parts that were part of an extremely nice build from another bike. These guys rock they took great care of everything the bike is absolutely perfect. There customer service was stellar kept me informed and phoned with any questions or concerns about the build absolutely phenomenal. Service like this is not the norm anymore. Thank you Sam and everyone else who was extremely helpful and made the entire experience great. Absolutely 5 stars plus!!

A business has to be really good for me to take the trouble to write a review. Sycamore Cycles impressed the heck out of me. We came down from the D.C. area to ride Pisgah for the first time. We stopped by the Hendersonville shop on the way in just to check them out. All the employees were helpful and attentive. They suggested some trails to ride and told us what to expect. The next day my buddy's shifter failed unexpectedly. After our ride we went to the Pisgah store and they took care of my buddy right away. They had a GX shifter in stock, mounted it up and made sure the bike was shifting well. The mechanic knew what he was doing and we had no issues the rest of our stay. The two ladies at the front filled us in on some more trails and just exuded good vibes. My buddies and I couldn't be more pleased with how Sycamore Cycles took good care of us.
