Valley View Park

Only went on a couple of the trails but I loved what I saw! Perfect place to do some hiking, picnicking, and biking!

Valley View Park is a hidden gem in the Oak Park Heights. You can easily miss this place as you drive out of town and find yourself cruising past the correctional facility. Look for the park sign and follow a meandering road between the prison and a bunch of backyards with boats and vehicles stored behind them.

Once you get to the park, you'll find an all brick building with restrooms, a nice playground, and hilly terrain that's perfect for sledding. Be sure to check out the trails this parks has to offer. It's terrain is more challenging than most Twin City metro city parks can offer. Enjoy!

Really nice park to have a family gathering. Charcoal grills and a covered picnic area. Very clean and well stocked bathrooms. Playground and lots of room to air the kids out. Quiet area to clear your head or take a quick snooze. Highly recommended

I love this park!
- Conveniently located right off Highway 36 and only 2 miles from downtown Stillwater
- Plenty of parking space
- Big playground with wood chips
- Lots of picnic tables, as well as a pavilion, several barbeque stations
- Seasonal bathroom and drinking fountain
- Paved bike/walking trails. One branch leads right down into Bayport
- Dirt mountain bike/hiking trails that wind through the woods and meadows. Well-kept and very beautiful!
- Great views from the hilltops
- Walking trail leads into a wetland restoration project, good for spotting waterfowl

This is probably my favourite park in the area. Great for taking kids or dogs, or even a solitary meander through the trees.

Probably the nicest park you'll ever see sitting next to a maximum security prison! Fun playground area for the kids, nice clean bathrooms, a sheltered picnic area with plenty of tables and a couple of miles of paved walking trails connecting it to a couple of the other parks in the area.

Great place for just about everyone. Perfect for the kids, pets and adults!! Awesome trails that connect up to other parks and the Twin Cities trail systems. Absolutely beautiful hiking trails!!

Nice, secluded park with great environment. Well maintained. Many picnic areas with permanent grills, inside restrooms, electric outlets and a nice Pavillion.

great for calisthenics, or to get away from some of these conceited, fake, sheeple around here. theres a ravine and a sweet bike trail, you can bring go into the woods and even get into a sewer and see what its like underground if you so wish. great for a smoke-out or to frolic in the flowers with a damsel in distress so you can relieve your stress if you dont have a house,, do you catch my drift? very deep and twists and controts far back, there is much to explore here

Very nice to have to get exercise got a nice trails it's right out my door down the block very nice nothing special about the park itself it's just nice to have the trails there takes you right down right to the river one of the trails very cool
