Apple River Family Campground

Very family freindly and festive atmosphere and still the chance to loosen up and have some fun! With two nicely maintained pools and tubing down the apple river with their exit back at the campground there isn't much to complain about. The bathrooms and showers could be kept cleaner but they are never so bad as to not use them. They have hot showers you get about 15 mins or so of hot water for the small fee of 1$ on quarters. Lots of waterfront sites with power, they have bunk cabins with ac a mini fridge and a microwave. Have fun!

We always camp on Sunday to Tuesday so most places are empty. This place is great, we got a spot right on the riverside. There is some construction on the other side of the river but it doesn’t bother us. The view is amazing. They have 2 pools here, one up top and one down by the river. Wish they had a larger playground with swings down by the river.

Awesome experience. They were all so nice. Came for the Fall Out Boy concert. Due to bad storms they stayed open super making everyone got back safe on the shuttle bus. I want to come again.

Loved the camp grounds! River tubing is the best part of this place and staff were very helpful to us in explaining about entry and exit points. Store has good popsicles. Campgrounds are well maintained and restrooms are clean.. would visit this place again

The campsite we had was exactly as described. It was idyllic for hopping off tubes right at our campsite or just sitting by the river to keep cool. The people working are super nice, informative, and accommodating. We will absolutely be back!

Camping with friends, 8 RV's. Very nice facility. Some stayed by waters edge some up top. 50 amp service. 2 pools. Employees are the best I've come across in 30 years of rv ownership.

My family had a nice experience. Making the reservation was easy and modern (emailed invoice and Apple Wallet code). Staff was friendly at check in. We stayed in the meadows campground which I recommend for families. We were taking our sweet time getting set up and a gent came running at us - he wanted to make sure we were okay and offered to backup the trailer. That is service! I declined but was appreciative. Sites are spacious. Bathroom and shower was clean. Woke up early and Brian was cleaning the pool. Yes, it’s the kind of place you get to know staff. In fairness there are opportunities for capital improvements but it probably doesn’t make sense for them and they take care of what they have.

Great for the family, friendly staff, respectful people camping, clean rest areas and campsites. Fairly priced campsites for the area. The kid park was smaller than expected from pictures on site, heated pool was nice considering we went on a cooler weekend

This place had private showers and big spacious bathrooms. I was there for a concert, and the parties were quiet by 11-12am on the Friday before the show. The nights of the show themselves were pretty quiet. Mornings were nice, the front desk charged for everything... a little much if you ask me. Coffee shouldn't be 2 bucks. But it was a good experience. The people that worked there were helpful and nice.

We got a riverfront campsite with electric and water hook ups. It was awesome! It was nice and quiet at the end where we were. I was worried because of the bar across the river but they hardly made any noise at all. Would definetly return ... most likely early in the summer season to avoid tubers and preserve the view of the river.

Pools are clean, playground is good, and the staff are nice.

We came and camped for the weekend this past summer and the kids had so much fun they all wanted to come back again. They never got around to tubing, but they loved the swimming pool and the evening movie. Our ten-year-old insisted on having his 11th birthday party here. We obliged and came again the last weekend in August. It was much chillier, there was no tubing or movie. They still had a great time. The staff are very accommodating and the grounds are well kept. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Super friendly and laid back place. Playground, heated pools, games, etc. I had discussed tubing through another place because apple river famiky doesn't shuttle midweek, but that place fell through last minute, so the owner here shuttled me back to my truck for free. They really seem to want you to have an enjoyable experience. Above and beyond service - we will be back.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Friendly and welcoming. We were new this year. The staff answered any questions we had about the area. They were wonderful with our kiddos! We throughly enjoyed our stayed. I personally did not want to leave. We will be back!

One of our favorite campgrounds. The workers are awesome. The campground is clean. Very well maintained. They have a great pool and even a really nice play ground for the kids. We love that when your done floating down the river you are home. Perfect.

Very nice even on Labor day weekend it didn't feel over crowded . Not loud at night. Clean bathrooms and showers they are pay showers ,so your aware but plenty of time per quarter never needed to spend more then .50. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Will be back very soon.

About 6 rv's in our group, some riverside, some up top. Our favorite rv park near Twin Cities. Owners and employees could not be nicer, it is so pretty here. Improvements are made each year. I don't tube the river but literally you get out of water at Campground, no bus ride in wet clothes.

This is a great place. Yes there is a bar across the river but of course it’s going to be loud. The staff is great nice and respectful. They deliver wood and pizzas. It really is a family campground there are people who party but it’s a campground. It’s fun it has games it has great tubing. This place is a great place to camp. Great experience for everyone who comes here.

Nice, clean, quiet, kid friendly, pretty and the tubing was fun. They made sure we had everything we needed. Answered all my questions. The cabin we stayed in was very basic but covered what we needed and wanted perfectly. Will do this again.

Such great staff and they keep it well maintained. They really care about people, not like other campgrounds that only care about making a dime. Tubing is super fun the kids love it.. I prefer staying two night here than a couple of hours at valleyfair so yeah i highly recommend this campsite.

I have been to this campsite a total of 4 times. Let me tell you this campsite is very friendly and staff are always in a good mood I really enjoy camping here every time I have a problem either with some thing at the campsite or an error on my reservation they are always there to help. I honestly love them!
