We really enjoyed our campsite! Stayed right on the lake, great sunsets, well maintained sites. Bath house is a little outdated but clean, there’s hot water but only for a short while. Site wasn’t level which was an issue for our class B but we made do. Saw lots of deer and armadillos! I would stay again.

Army Core of Engineers campground on the edge of Lake Somerville. Well groomed park, spacious RV pads. Lots of whitetail deer that peruse campground in the evening. Several beaches (TX style) with easy water access. Great place to camp!

One of our favorite camping spots in the area. Easy access to the water to fish or swim, sites are partly shaded, good constant breeze. Bathrooms where clean enough, and attendents were nice and minded the Covid deal well. If there were one thing I would have them change is the sticker weeds.... Really need to spray and kill off those damn weeds, or mow lower. Those sticker weeds will get all in your dogs fur, and is a pain to get them out. Other than that... Beautiful.

Campsites are beautiful. Most back up to waterfront. Easy in and out even with 33ft trailer. Not much shoulder on road off of Hwy 36 bit completely fine. Bring you fishing poles.

Peaceful! Prefect to take kids and the boat and play for a couple days! Beaches are great for the little ones! And there's fishing to help calm your hubby's nerves hahaha

I just drove around in there one day while I was camping at Rocky Creek park. It looks like a nice campground and the deer seem pretty tame. I got lots of pictures of them.

We stay here when we travel to south Texas. It's a beautiful , but small USACE park. Deer, armadillo, might even see a wild hog on the trails in the woods. The sunset this August was incredible!

Beautiful state park with plenty of room for all kinds of campsites. We have a 30' fifth wheel and had no problem. Good elbow room between spaces, beautiful views, plenty of wildlife. Lake Somerville is gorgeous. Definitely put this one on your list, especially considering how inexpensive it is. Love it!
