Gateway At Denton

I love this place. I’ve lived here for a month and it’s been amazing. If you read your lease throughly, there are no hidden fees or anything. They worked with my schedule and the Leasing office team were diligent in getting me a place that fit my needs. Maintenance is on top of it as well. After I submitted my inspection, within 24 hours someone was in to take care of the problems. For a fully furnished apartment, the price is amazing. They bill based on usage which I love because I’m very mindful of taking showers that are quick and not washing clothes twice and such. The front desk people are so sweet and kind and always make me feel at home. If I were you, I’d give this place a chance. They’ve really gotten to become a lovely place to live.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Gateway. Staff is very communicative and maintenance is very friendly and timely. The front office staff is always very kind and thorough in handling any issues I’ve had.

My son attempted to move in to his new apartment this past Wednesday, but upon arrival we found there to be a number of cleanliness, health, and safety concerns that meant we were not able to move in that day. We spoke with the maintenance supervisor who visited the unit and was also surprised at the condition it was in. He immediately arranged to have the place cleaned, even though the people continuing their leases were supposed to be maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas and reporting the maintenance needs as they came up. He was also going to make arrangements to take care of most of the other major concerns, so that we could move in today (Friday). Upon arrival on Friday, we were disappointed to find that many of the needed updates and repairs had not been completed, such that we would not be able to move in again.

This is normally where things would take a significant negative turn, and one might expect a battle with the apartment management... I was prepared for one, having researched the state laws and the specifics in the lease agreement - however our experience was completely the opposite!! One of the managers, Courtney, listened to our concerns with care. She immediately offered to have us look at several of the other vacant (equivalent) units and see if any of those were up to our expectations - if not, she was happy to let us terminate our lease agreement with no arguments. Of course we did not want to terminate the lease with the start of school right around the corner, so we quickly took her up on the offer to look at some other units. The first alternative unit we looked at was in outstanding condition - with no significant concerns. When we confirmed with another manager, Nikki, about our desire to move the lease to that new apartment, she was happy to oblige and even offered a credit on our next month's bill as a way of compensating us for our troubles. When we asked to see about moving the covered parking spot closer to this new apartment, she checked and initially reported that all covered spots nearby were already spoken for... But then she did something completely unexpected and WAY above-and-beyond -- she said "You know what? I'll give you one of my own covered spots..." (apparently she lives on site and had a couple of covered spots as part of her lease). We couldn't believe what we had just heard.... Really?!?!? Who does that?!? We were completely surprised and humbled that she would do that for us.

Overall, while things started out a bit rough, the managers at Gateway Denton bent over backwards to take care of us and make sure our concerns were addressed. We feel very happy with the condition of the new apartment, and the new roommates look like a great group of folks as well! Thank you, Gateway management for listening to our concerns, not ignoring them, and working to find a positive solution for everyone!

My room had not been cleaned and there was even a gash in the wood flooring; HOWEVER, the staff was so receptive to my maintenance requests and acted VERY quickly to make sure that everything was fixed and that I was comfortable. The Gateway team is spectacular 10/10.

Every time I go to the office all the leasing agents are super helpful and nice!

The Gateway is a great place to live. The office staff is always very helpful, and the maintenance guys are great. Especially Troy! He's always so nice and gets the job done in a timely manner. I wouldn't recommend any other place to live!

I lived here from 2020-2022 with my roommate. We both had an excellent experience living at Gateway. Maintenance always came out either same day or within a day or two. Never had any bug issues in 2 years we lived there. I felt pretty safe, sometimes the main gate had issues but in the last few months I lived at Gateway they updated the system to a phone and since then was fine and always closed. Overall I felt very safe and I was a quick bus ride to the school. I would recommend it

Apartment is great, has good amenities, and maintenance is fast!

I love the staff and the positivity that everyone provides. The grounds and the maintenance is always on top of it and if you ever have a problem they are right on it! Overall this place is a great place to live in the Denton community.

The place is amazing! The rooms are spacious and feel home-y. Omar was super helpful during my tour and worked extra hard to make sure I could make an informed choice! Can’t wait to sign my lease at Gateway at Denton for Fall 2023

I love Denton Community. It is sooo homey and always maintained beautifully. Omar in the leasing office is always so helpful, very friendly and professional. I always know he is a call away when I need something taken care of. I’m very blessed to have him help me find my apartment ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Moving outta state I had no idea where to live or what to do and I was super lucky when I found gateway! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly! The apartments are clean and there’s a lot of space. The common areas are really really nice and loving I. A 4 person unit you would think it would be really cramped but there’s a lot of space. The pool is really pretty and shows the tranquility. The gym is clean and always open! Nice equipment. I like it how I could put a maintenance request and someone comes and fixes my problem right away. I lived here for a month and was so happy with my loving situation I opesnto sign a two year lease! Covered parking! Really safe. Everything is done through the key sensory it’s a residence only so you know that you’re in a safe environment whenever you into the gate .

Gateway is a solid place to live. I know maintenance can be questionable at a lot of apartment complexes, but Troy Gattis and his team are very trustworthy and do a great job at fixing issues and responding in a timely manner.

My visit to Gateway was phenomenal. John was the leasing consultant that toured the property with me. He was very personable and accommodating. The property was clean and neatly decorated from their model to their work-out facility, and with so many amenities to offer their student demographic. Overall I was impressed with his ability to juggle incoming requests from residents while also holding my attention as a prospect. Had I been ready to lease at a student property I definitely would have, solely based on my experience this morning. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to any of my friends and/or acquaintances.

Apartment is the best I've lived it. Internet is fastest I've ever had, supplied furniture is actually quality.

Sure not everything is perfect, but any major issues I have are resolved in a timely manner.

I absolutely love living at Gateway Denton. I have lived here for 1.5 years and definitely think this is one of the best student apartment complexes in terms of location, amenities, and price. The office staff is extremely helpful- specifically Mason. He was able to walk me through the process of subleasing my apartment quickly and efficiently (I graduate in the Spring and was looking for someone to take over my lease for the summer). He even recommended Facebook groups to me that helped me find a person to sublease to! Thank you Gateway for making living here such a positive experience, and thank you Mason for all your help with the subleasing. I will truly miss being a member of the community :)

I am moving from Arizona to Texas and have been looking at various places around Denton. I came across Gateway and thought it was great! I was very impressed by Omar who was able to answer ALL my questions and let me just tell you I am picky coming also from a background in property management. This is definitely my top choice thus far. Thanks Omar for all your help
