State Roofing is a very honest and professional company that delivers what they promise. I got 5 other bids before I chose John Giffin's company and I have been very happy with my decision. Whereas one company took nearly 2 weeks to get the bid back, John got us the bid within hours and clearly outlined all of the products that will be used as part of the GAF system that will get us a 50 year limited warranty (only if installed by a GAF Master Elite contractor, which State Roofing is). Instead of using all sub-contractors, he has 2 of his own men (Mario and Bernie) embedded within the crew to make sure that the quality is consistent and done in a timely fashion. Our roof replacement took exactly 2 days and was completed on 3/10/23. Our roof is gorgeous, and I would highly recommend State Roofing to anyone without any reservations.

State Roofing Company got us the new roof we knew we needed but were initially denied by our insurance. The roof of our home was damaged by hail in May 2019, and as we watched all of our neighbors have their roofs replaced, our claim was denied by our insurance, and our then contractor shrugged, simply called it a loss, and moved on.

Nearly 11 months later, Emily found us (in a neighborhood of recently replaced roofs, ours stood out in the worst way), and she explained to us our options, that even initially denied, we could call for an additional inspection, even an arbitration if necessary. Emily and State Roofing Company handled all of the paperwork and it would ultimately require arbitration for our insurance to agree to replace our roof. Our roof replacement was scheduled immediately thereafter, and the exceptional work was completed in only a single day. My wife and I are grateful to State Roofing Company for having helped us clearly understand the path to our new roof, and for having thoughtfully guided us through the process.

I called State Roofing Company after a wind event in my neighborhood, which caused shingles to be blown off some of the houses on my street. Chase from State Roofing Company came out and inspected my roof, and he told me that he thought TWIA would approve an insurance claim for a full roof replacement. Chase came back out when the TWIA agent inspected my roof, and TWIA did approve a full roof replacement. Chase and Emily then came to my house and thoroughly explained the options for my roof replacement. State Roofing Company was able to perform the roof replacement in a single day, and everything turned out great. They also handled most of the correspondence with TWIA, which was really helpful. All in all, I am very pleased with their service.

John Giffin was honest and punctual during my roof replacement. I fired the first roofing company I hired for an insurance claim and contacted John on a friend's recommendation. John helped me with contesting State Farm's initial denial of the claim and he hired an appraiser, which caused State Farm to relent and pay the claim in full. The replacement GAF shingles John installed were defective (GAF's fault, not John's) and John worked with GAF to make a warranty claim. John was prepared to replace my roof a second time even if GAF would not admit to the defect, but GAF, like State Farm, relented and replaced the roof. John was always on top of the claim and communicated promptly and professionally. So I had a second roof replacement. I also got new gutters through John. I am very happy with the service. John even helped me apply for an insurance premium discount from State Farm because the new shingles are extra hail resistant class 4.

We recently had our roof replaced after it was severely damaged in a hail storm. We chose State Roofing based off their online reviews and were not disappointed. We worked primarily with Amanda who was kind and helpful from start to finish. She was easily accessible and was able to help us navigate filing a claim through our insurance. The crew was professional and very efficient- they were able to finish the job in one day! State was also willing to work with us and allowed for payment after we had received all of our insurance money. We have had several neighbors stop to tell us how nice our roof looks- something I would have honestly never noticed before! We would happily recommend State Roofing to a friend!

State Roofing did an awesome job of replacing our roof last month! The crew was very efficient and courteous and left our roof and great shape. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who wants a roof replaced without a lot of hassle. We appreciated everyone we worked with and the care they took!

We had hail damage from the big hail storm of 2021. We immediately began to get phone calls and people at our front door with offers to fix our roof from questionable companies. I wanted someone local, and also an Aggie business. I asked around and found that there were a few contractors highly recommended. I asked for estimates and they came back close to each other. But I really liked talking with Josh at State Roofing, and went with his company. He explained the process for the repair and dealing with the insurance company better than the others. It took a while to repair the roof because so many roofs were damaged and it was a rainy year. They came and did the main roofing in two days, the gutters and screens a separate day, and later a dormer repair. He was able to locate the shingle color we wanted. In addition, he reviewed our ventilation and recommended some changes which were done. The roof looks excellent and the gutters are much better than the original ones. When we bought the house, we found a number of leaks around the chimney and dormer which we had to repair. We were worried that we would face leaks all over again. So far, with three major storms and gusty wind, there have been no leaks. We are 100% satisfied.

State Roofing first and foremost was a huge help in working with our insurance agency. Then they were an enormous help in figuring out which color and type shingle was best for our roof. They had some terrific people work on the gutters and got us a color that was a perfect match. State Roofing went above and beyond in every way.

The roof was 21 years old!! Desperately needed replacement. I had used State roofing a couple years ago on another property and was pleased with their work and service at the time. Besides, they offer a 10Y labor warranty that is transferable. So, I decided to go with them again.
The end results are the same: they are really easy to work with; the process is easy and straight forward. Emily was my contact. From the roof inspection to the quote to picking the roof material she made it really easy; she even dropped off some roof shingles and boards to help in the color selection. I thought scheduling might be a problem as they are booked out a couple of weeks, but I called on a Thursday for a Monday install and….it all worked out. Thanks Emily!!
Overall the crew was good; they showed up on time, protected all the landscaping and the pool before starting the job and when they were done, they did a good clean up ( I was especially concerned about the nails). I can honestly say they worked hard; the project was done in one day; 2 guys did come back the next morning for the finishing touches and clean up. Overall, they were organized and efficient, professional and reliable. Roof looks great….looking for another 20y of peace of mind.

Very good experience dealing with State Roofing Company following re-roofing after hail damage. Knowledgeable, friendly employees with good workmanship from State's installation crew. Also had partial new rain gutter and downspout installation as well as new rain gutter screens all around the roof. I would use State Roofing Company again.

Jared who started the process with the inspections and details on the process, John worked with us on disputing the insurance issues and he got this approved. He came out explained everything and helped us select or new roof. The roofing crew were very nice and professional, they were so meticulous about keeping the area clean and safe, they did a fantastic job. Their cleanup was spotless, I never found an old shingle or nail in the yard.

I live along the Energy Corridor on the west side of Houston & experienced hail damage to my roof this past January. I called State Roofing & they came out quickly to get the ball rolling with my insurance company. Since Hurricane Harvey, I had seen State Roofing replacing numerous roofs in my neighborhood & was very impressed with their work & how quickly the process went. The representative that called on me was prompt, courteous & a delight to do business with. I was taken good care of from start to finish! My roof looks great & I am extremely happy with every aspect of dealing with State Roofing Company.

We had a roof put on our house recently. I looked at many companies and it was not the easiest of decisions. However I am very happy about choosing State Roofing. State Roofing furnished us with a very detailed and straightforward bid. Several companies tried to “wheel and deal” and offered complicated bids that were not sufficiently straightforward. State Roofing told us exactly what they would do, what materials they would use (high quality GAF) and could do the job all in one day. The roof looks great and we are very happy! I highly recommend this company.

State Roofing replaced my roof after some hail damage. They gave a good price ($1,000 less than the insurance adjustor) and used top notch materials. The shingles have a 50 year warranty. The workers were on time, worked fast (1/2 day), and cleaned up. They used large magnets to sweep my lawn. John came out, inspected my roof, and gave me a quote. It was like talking to a neighbor. I am very happy with my roof and would highly recommend them.

Amanda (Sales Rep) was there every step of the way. She worked directly with my insurance adjuster, had brochures of the product that they were going to use and educated me on what to expect. Ramon's crew of 15 started at 7:02 am on Monday and finished that same day around 7:35pm. Not only did we get a brand new roof, but they even blew out our gutters and left the place cleaner that it was! State Roofing Company and their employees, definitely have this process seamless.

State Roofing has replaced my roof twice over the years and they have been quick to follow up on any issues. Recently I had remodeled the kitchen and no longer needed a plumbing vent and they came out and pulled the vent and shingled over the opening, for free. They have been great to work with.

The service we received from State Roofing and our Sales Rep. Amanda exceeded our expectations. The friendly crew arrived on time removed our old roof and installed the new one in 1 day, the grounds were kept clean and we have yet to find a nail on the ground, these guys know what they are doing I would highly recommend State Roofing for any roof/gutter repairs.

State Roofing made getting a new roof an easy, professional process. They communicated every step, helped coordinate our insurance, and most importantly did excellent work. Even the inspector complimented their work! I have recommended them to friends and neighbors.

We just had a new designer roof installed with State Roofing Company. We are very pleased with the result. We love our new roof. Emily (the roof girl) helped us every step of the way. The work team completed installation in two days and we had no complaints. Overall, I would highly recommend State Roofing Company.

State Roofing replace my roof back in September of last year, after several calls to different roofers with no results, John with the State Roofing was able to get the insurance Company to pay for my roof replacement VS the initial offer of just one patch repair by the insurance adjuster. since then I have recommended State roofing to 3 of my co-workers and friends, and they all are very happy with the State Roofing.
