A beautiful one-night getaway from Houston. The Ant Inn transports you back to a more genteel time and wraps you in its history. Easy to find off 290 we were there in no time. Our room was spacious and had a king bed. The tv had more channels than we have seen in any other hotel, ever. Reception informed us of everything, even the sodas and ice cream in the ice room. And our full breakfasts were included the next morning. The hotel has free easy parking and the buildings all surrounding it were full of interesting murals. It was a perfect night.

Had a great stay at Ant Street Inn. The rooms were nice and cozy. They had complementary soft drinks, ice, coffee and popcorn. That was a nice surprise! The breakfast was delicious. Would stay again next time we’re in Brenham.

Had an excellent stay here. Justice, who was working the front desk, gave us an easy check-in and warm welcome. Our room was immaculate and the perfect mix of traditional and comforting. Ant Street Inn elevated our trip to Brenham.

Met a friend in a "middle spot" between us, she's in Houston, I'm in Taylor. Found this hidden gem online browsing. Good food, nice service, and what a great old building! Walking distance to more fun places (this place closed at 2 on Sunday). Cute, quaint and worth a try. Hope you like.

It has been many years since we stayed at the Ant, and this stay was as pleasant as the prior. For a stop on a road trip through Texas, the Ant is comfortable and inviting. Brenham is a town worth discovering over a weekend also. It's the details that the Ant hosts have excelled in; great coffee selection, treats in the hallway fridge, finely furnished rooms.

A lovely cross between a Bed & Breakfast and a Boutique Hotel -- staff was wonderful, made sure we knew everything we needed to know for the best stay. Our room was unique, historic, and comfortable. Upstairs hospitality alcove had water, ice, microwave, coffee and more. Breakfast is free at the onsite restaurant for guests which was quite nice! Parking was easy, and the location is perfect for roaming the downtown area. I really liked the digital guide -- it was an extra touch that gave us more information. Absolutely gorgeous restoration of an historic building!

We stayed in the Atlanta room. It was wonderful. The high ceilings, partial brick wall interior and sitting area on the second floor are awesome! Everything about the room was great. Can't wait to come back to stay in Brenham!

We loved our stay at Ant Street Inn. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. We especially appreciated the extra amenities, such as DVD rentals, Blue Bell ice cream, and sodas in the refrigerator. There were even St. Patrick’s Day cookies out in the main hallway. The breakfast in the restaurant was nice and offered lots of choices. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

My wife and I are long time patrons of Ant Street Inn. It is always a marvelous experience. The Inn management is always courteous and very helpful. The rooms are always clean and beautifully decorated, and the complimentary breakfast is always amazing. Ant Street's location is in the middle of everything but still out of the beaten path. We love this place.

My husband I came here for my birthday. We stayed in the New Orleans room. We absolutely loved it! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and welcoming and very comfortable. So many wonderful antiques and historical pieces to view. The place really has the feel that owners truly care and take pride in their bed and breakfast. There are so many things to see and within walking distance of the hotel. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely one of THE BEST Inns we've ever stayed at!! Staff was very freindly and helpful. Breakfast included and the grill was delicious 😋
Our room was beautiful. When we turned down the bed the sheets smelled amazing. It was quiet, comfortable and we got treats too.
Can't wait for a return visit.

Great stay. Building and rooms are wonderful. Definitely not a posh contemporary place which made it even better. Excellent proximity to the square and all its dining, shopping and nightlife. Very affordable too. Free mini blue bell ice cream cups, sodas and coffee. Games available and a large room to play them in. We would definitely stay again!

Super cute place and great staff. I love old buildings so it was fun to stay here. Easy to walk around downtown from the Inn.

The bed we had probably could use an updated mattress and pillows but it was fine for the 1 night we were there.

I don't know if I'll ever go back to a brand name hotel after this. The Ant Street Inn was gorgeous, in a fantastic setting, comfortable and convenient, and if the story ended there, it would have been enough for me. The icing on the cake was the kind of toilet paper that people actually use, absorbent towels big enough to go around a human body, an actual bath mat and full-size glasses next to the bathroom sink. I couldn't possibly have been happier. I will definitely be back.

Right before Christmas, my husband and I spent a few days in and around Brenham, and we spent our nights in the Memphis room at the Inn. Not only was the room bursting with natural light and character, but additionally, every single aspect of our stay was so obviously curated by hosts who care immensely about the establishment and the experience to which it lends itself. From the complimentary Blue Bell ice-cream to the Christmas movies available to the unique book selection to the breakfast offerings, we had zero complaints and endless accolades. We will definitely return.

Excellent excellent lunch today! Did I say excellent!
Stopped by after a trip to Herman Furniture with my sister. Have been to Brenham many many times over last 40 plus years and never have eaten at Ant Street Inn Restaurant. Still trying to figure this one out. I can’t speak to what my sister ordered for lunch, but she said the chicken fried chicken was delicious and the bread served with her meal was fresh soft and warm.
I ordered the corn soup and the chicken enchiladas meal. Yummy!!! All white meat chicken in the enchiladas. A nice gravy. Moist fluffy rice, and those charro beans. Fresh warm tortillas chips served with my meal and the salsa was fresh and had a nice fresh tomato taste.
The servers were all so pleasant and friendly.
I can’t wait to return for another lunch or dinner.

My husband decided spur of the moment to whisk me away for some quiet/alone time for my birthday this past weekend. It was probably the worst time to go to Brenham without planning ahead because of bluebonnet season but we got lucky and the Ant Street Inn had one room available. The old inn was very charming, clean, and other than us, quiet. We absolutely love special places like this. Our room was the St. Louis room and it was very conveniently located with access right out the back door onto the veranda where we could escape without too much notice. I liked the little refreshment nook upstairs where I could fix myself a cup of coffee and the green hall was so beautiful that we decided to enjoy our breakfast there instead of in our room. Everyone was very sweet and accommodating, they even let us store our bikes inside somewhere so we didn't have to worry about them. We hope Jessica all the best with the baby and thank you for all the information because we had a million questions. I hate that the restaurant was closed down but totally understand with the recent pandemic. We would absolutely recommend staying here if you love places that make you feel like you stepped back in history....with some modern conveniences too. We didn't care about the lack of TV because we were there to spend time with each other. No complaints
