Cruzteca Mexican Kitchen

Really solid Mexican restaurant! Came here with the bf to check them out and they really hit it out of the park.

Great drinks and food. Also there was a mariachi playing for the night. Come here on a date or with friends!

This place was terrific! The food was so fresh and flavorful, especially the homemade salsa which I could’ve drank straight. The portions were generous and the service was also top notch. I’m excited to have a new go-to breakfast spot.

EASILY one of the top 5 best enchiladas in the city!! The enchiladas verde has a really fresh tomatillo/roasted pepper taste, and the Nutella mole feels like a hug on a plate! Great friendly staff, and welcoming restaurant

Our first time here, and it didn't disappoint. I had the Tex-Mex beef enchiladas, and my wife had the breakfast migas plate. Both were delicious and generous portions. It was a nice surprise to find that they serve breakfast until 3 pm. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with plenty of parking. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to others.

Great place to eat. Friendly staff, pliable menu, and great vegan options. They have a green sauce that is mildly spicy and very delicious.

I got two tacos, that quickly became four, they give you extra tortillas for when your stuffings fall out and with beans and rice it was extremely filling and worth every penny.

The next time we’re in Austin we’ll come back.

Service was great. I loved their ceviche. Queso was too thick and not hot enough but I liked their salsa and margarita a lot. Super cute. Will definitely be back.

This place is awesome! Generous portions, tasty and reasonably priced.

The salsas could be better tasting but I’m not tripping because they were ok and everything else was on point.

We had a quick work trip in Austin and were not disappointed by the food we got here! I got the verde enchiladas it was a good mix of savory tangy. I also got a frozen margarita and it was very balanced! The customer service was great. Everyone was very attentive, from the manager Wayne, to our waitress, and even another worker came out! We appreciated the time spent not only to us but to all clientele. We loved the art too! Nacho Libre on a Libre! We had a good laugh!

Okay.... so this place is pretty damn good. Great drinks, tex mex for options, and great staff.
Inside and outside areas, full bar, and they have a small waiting area when they are packed.

Look.... they are almost there in flavor so be those people who ask for salt and THE DAMN VERDE SALSA. That verde SLAAPPPSSSS. It's si damn good. If you do that, your food is Devine.

Had the pleasure of Meeting Tony on Sunday and experiencing his family's wonderful restaurant. Fantastic brunch drink pricing, and some of the best Tex-Mex food in Austin. Service was fast and friendly, even for our party of 8 adults and 2 children... Excited to come back!

Easily one of the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. So simple but sooo delicious. I’m vegetarian and got the one with eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and I added the queso and it was so good my partner and I almost ordered more. The employees were lovely and the service was fast - new favourite go to breakfast taco spot!

Came in on a Monday evening. Plenty of seats, not many people eating inside. I had a Painkiller and house margarita. Both were delicious and not lacking on the main ingredient. Top shelf queso and guacamole for appetizers. Fajitas de res for the main. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our waiter Colin was fantastic as well.

Delicious food and the service was very kind and accommodating of our large group. We especially liked the mushroom and spinach enchiladas!

Cozy and amazing place. I usually order chicken enchiladas or shrimp tacos. My husband orders beef fajitas and says it is the best in town

Love this place. This time around we visited Cruzteca, it was a Thursday night and they had live music. Not the best but was unexpected and an extra perk.

Normally I get any variety of tacos that I like - the ramses is the bomb, slowrider is pretty good and the Padre tacos are my go to.

This time around, I opted to try something new and glad I did. The Lonestar Beef Torta, pictured, was so delish. The bread was super soft and the braised beef was juicy and flavorful. For the side, went with garlic fries which were way good even as leftovers.

Also pictured is the top shelf queso which is also pretty good.

All in all you can't go wrong with Cruzteca, I love this place. The drinks can get pricey and don't get made strong so I don't recommend ordering too many.

Excellent! A favorite in Austin! It's tiny, but cozy, clean and has a great vibe! Cute decor! Service was spot on, food is flavorful...great chips and salsa! I love their fajita nachos (pictured). A MUST!

Always love going to this locally owned place. The staff have great recommendations so ask them what they like. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. Always busy, so give yourself a bit of time to sit and chat or grab a drink at the bar if that's your thing. I really enjoy the shrimp and grits, and the mushroom enchiladas. Complex flavors. And get the traditional taco as an add on, it's unexpectedly rich in flavor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. My wife and I ordered 2 different flavor tacos and split them. So good. Our waitress was very friendly and went above and beyond for our children. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back

I'm reluctant to write this review because one of the wonderful things is that we've never waited more than a few minutes to be seated.
But to the true highlights:
The food is fantastic. Everything we order has been great. One of the surprises is the brunch buttermilk pancakes. The strawberry butter is phenomenal and it comes with maple syrup by default. I also love that there are breakfast tacos featured without eggs. As someone who can't eat eggs, it's such a treat to have a breakfast dish that's designed without eggs so it's full flavored and nothing is missing.
The salsas and hot sauce are amazing as well. Other things we've enjoyed are flautas, enchiladas, and margaritas.
Lastly, the staff has been largely the same over the years we've been going. The owner is personable and cares about his restaurant and patrons.
