We threw a pride and prejudice birthday party for our 17 yr old daughter and decided Walker manor was a perfect fit for this occasion. From the get go Memori was so kind, helpful, and thoughtful. She went all out to make this day special for our child. Her place is so nicely designed, historically brilliant, and very well kept. The rooms are LOVELY and the beds comfortable. She prepared a special breakfast with my daughters favorites, pancakes, hashbrowns, and bacon.......delicious!! And the tea party/ lunch was super precious. Everyone walked away LOVING it. We will definitely be back in the future!

Planned a weekend getaway trip for my wife & I. Booked the Walker Room. Our entire stay was so awesome! Everything was perfect at this B&B. The owners were fantastic! They pampered us with great food, wonderful high tea, a clean room, & warm hospitality. My wife & I both highly recommend this B&B. We will definitely be back.

If we were able to give 10 stars we would. Walker Manor is just perfect in every regard. The room was beautifully furnished and it felt like we were stepping back in time. The hosts are very warm and welcoming and offered many great suggestions with regards to places to eat and to visit, and in general about the history of the area. The food was exceptional. I don't think I can think of anything that would have improved our stay. We are very much looking forward to returning to Walker Manor.

My husband and two kids stayed here while attending Gusher Days and were extremely impressed. If you’re looking for a superb host with a beautiful home, let Memory be your girl! We had to be set up at the show early and were not going to be able to make breakfast so Memory was sweet enough to make us breakfast to go and it was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! And we will be back in April! ♥♥

What a delightful tea experience! My husband and I enjoyed an afternoon on the porch of the Walker Manor Bed and Breakfast. As I have Celiac Disease, Memori was so very helpful and accommodating. My tea experience almost exactly mirrored that of my husband, right down to the dessert selections! The food and tea were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The Manor is beautiful and it was a joy to visit with Memori, learning the history of the house and getting a mini tour. I would highly recommend a visit to the Walker Manor.

This grand bed & breakfast is rich with history! From walking up to the welcoming veranda, rocking gently on the wide front porch swing, to climbing the tall central staircase, we were transported back in time to the early 1900s. The owner brought it all to life with her stories of the illustrious past of the family who built this east Texas manor. Our beautiful room had a very comfortable bed and our breakfast the next morning was wonderful! Highly recommend.

I booked a “tea party” for me, my mom, my daughter and daughter-in-law and 4 granddaughters last July and we just did it again this year.. We had ages 5 to 81 represented and had the best time. The girls got dressed up, we ate on fine china and The hostess was a delight. Food was delicious and the home is beautiful. I would highly recommend coming here and having a tea party with the girls in your life. We will do this again! This has become a tradition and as long as my granddaughters enjoy doing it, we will be at Walker Manor for "tea" every July! By the way: the addition of "hats" for the girls to choose from was a huge hit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. The location was perfect (we walked to shops, supper and the Opry). Breakfast was delicious. And our hostess was friendly, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist.
I did briefly awaken to the sound of the train but found it charming.

Walker Manor is a charming and welcoming respite during this difficult time of Covid pandemic. Breakfast was delightful, served like pictures straight out of Tea Time magazine. The food was filling and delicious. The morning it rained, we sat on the veranda and enjoyed the quiet. pastoral atmosphere as a gentle rain fell. A delightful place to rest, regroup, and enjoy the company of friends and family. The owners were friendly and accommodating.

What an absolute gem of a find. Enjoy tea? This place exceeds all expectations. Lovely setting, very generous and delicious food presented in an elegant and tasteful way. Memori is a gracious and knowledgeable hostess. We just left with a complete feeling of being relaxed, well feed and having gained so much historic knowledge of the Manor and Gladewater. I would highly recommend the Grande Dame tea and will return in the future with more tea loving friends.

This was my second visit. First time we stayed overnight. This visit was a scheduled tea. Food was great. Service with a smile. All the downstairs rooms decorated for Christmas. Just delightful.

Four friends and I had tea at Walker Manor on Aug 7th. We were so pleased with every aspect of our visit. From the ‘Grand Dame’ Tea…to the tour of the Manor by our host, Memori. She was extremely welcoming and… being a history teacher…was able to provide us with some wonderful history of Walker Manor. Our Tea menu was exquisite. Ms. Memori pulled out all the stops!! I recommend Walker Manor to everyone I come in contact with. It is a beautiful historic place that I will definitely visit again!!

I grew up in Gladewater and always wondered what that place must be like. This weekend my wife and I spent two nights there. Everything about our stay was excellent, down to the creaky floors. The food and hospitality were warm and welcoming. The owner and I had a long conversation about the history of the house and the town. This is our place to stay when we come in to visit family!

Our hostess Memori was great. Historic nostalgia reeks from this place and the breakfast was wonderful. Being train lovers, my wife and I really enjoyed the frequent railrunners throughout the day and night.

The house was awesome. Friendly lady with good food and great information about the house. We love the location with easy access to fishing, shopping and dining. We will plan on staying again during cooler weather.

Beutyfull surroundings and a wonderful host. Note, train tracks are across the street but never bothered us. If you love to step back in time and in a very comfortable setting then please go. If you like antiquing you a one block away from some of the best antique shops in Texas.
