Always has been a favorite place to eat amazing and flavorful food at an affordable price. I loved the old nostalgic restaurant, but the new building is very very nice!

This place is in our rotation. Excellent Mexican food. We had the #2 cheese enchiladas. Hot sauce, green sauce and chips are always top notch.

Some of the best authentic Mexican food we've had in awhile!! Spinach quesadilla was amazing and the chips and salsa were so fresh. Definitely will be stopping by next time I'm in town.

Tried this fancy spot in Gilmer! We were a little under dressed as it was 105, and the 4th of July. Our waitress was fantastic! Food was very good. Got lunch prices for dinner plates, which was great. Very accomadating of our needs we have 4 children. We got fresh tortillas, and entree of beans for our little, the white queso was delicious! The dinner prices were a bit steep, but I don't know the sizes of plates. Their beef tex mex taco was delicious, and the chips and salsa were very top notch. My wife and I will have to go by ourselves to try the TOP O' the LINE foods. Definitely want to go back, and do recommend!

We stopped in on our way through town today. We weren’t sure what we would find, but it was open on Sunday (which was rare) and they didn’t have a long wait.

As a Houstonian, I’ve had a lot of Tex Mex. This place was delicious.

My husband got the La Finca Platter and was stuffed when we left. I got the taco salad and it was great! The chicken was freshly grilled and the veggies were fresh.

Our family of four paid $50 total for our food - which is pretty standard, so price wise I would say it’s great.

Our waitress Brooke was over the top sweet! She was super accommodating and attentive.

The food is great and our server was prompt and thorough. This place is popular so always full on weekends but we didn't have to wait long for a table. I live in the next town over and we need to remember to come here more often, it's better than our town's Mexican food.

Who would’ve ever thought such a gem would be in Gilmer, TX. Certainly not me! This place is delicious! We all ordered different versions of their shrimp, which was absolutely delicious and the presentation is beautiful too. My mom ordered their fajitas and I’ve honestly never had fajita meat so tender. I am going to eat there every time I visit east TX now because it is certainly worth the drive!

There's a reason this place has a waiting list in the evenings on weekends and weekdays both!

The food is authentic and delicious! This is Texas so queso goes on everything! The service is great and the bartenders keep those margaritas coming! We enjoy every visit we make here.

Howdy Folks, passing through Gilmer, or been out playing at Barnwell Mountain and it's now time to grab a bite to eat? Look no further for your quest in restaurants near me... La Finca is a time tested East Texas favorite when it comes to Tex-Mex. I have been dining at La Finca since I was a kid, and the food is still as mouth watering, slap ya ma'ma , best thing you ever flopped your lip over. The salsa is phenomenal. But I will tell you , you will have onion breath after eating the salsa, but oh my, my so worth it. Ask for the green salsa; I know there are green salsas out there at other Tex Mex restaurants. But trust me, this wins the taste test. Oh yeah, if you aren't from around these neck of the woods, ask for some squeeze butter. Don't be embarrassed to ask, this is not a prank, this is a real thing to ask for the waitress will know what you are looking for....when she brings you this golden goodness, give a lil squeeze into your salsa, start with a lil then add more of needed, but this will be a game changer for you. They do serve alcohol here too. But another great reason is the good ol East Texas hospitality of these hard working food service guys. They hustle and bustle and all with a friendly smile. I always enjoy eating at the La Finca. It is one of my favorite restaurants . The chips are always warm, light and crispy. They offer you both red and green sauce. The green sauce is my favorite. Depending on the day the sauces can sometimes be a little spicy. I ordered the Carne Asada it was tender grilled to perfection. It is just a bundle of yumminess. The place is decorated nicely and screams Elegance yet the Ambiance is very very casual and the noise level at times can be a little overwhelming. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. There is an outdoor enclosed patio for those who like to dine outside . The parking lot is a disaster you have to park in the back and walk all the way around to the front of the building. There may be five or six spaces in the front of the building.

Staying in Ore City and wanted to find easy place to celebrate my birthday - this was it! After we made it past the super stressed out hostess who was efficiently, but grumpily seating people fast.... our waitress, Jessica, was fabulous, very attentive and patient with our rowdy table of 4. Being from DFW area, the food and drinks could easily stand up to 'big city' standards. My hubby and I split the Ultimate Parilla fajitas and those ribs were fall off the bone tender!! White queso was perfect especially paired with their great salsas! The avocado salsa is by request but really nice and their roasted salsa has a killer kick! For dessert, I chose the chocolate cake slice not expecting much from a Tex Mex restaurant, but the slice was HUGE and delicious!! Oh and the margaritas were good. I got the one that comes in a shaker and for the price of one in DFW, this shaker gave me 3 servings.... A great night! Totally returning when back in East Texas.

What is a 5 Star Mexican restaurant doing in Gilmer Texas!? My family started going here in 1992 when it was a greasy spoon (but the good kind that you'd drive outta route to stop at) in the old building.They have a new building that sets a more sophisticated atmosphere. Servers were on point throughout the meal, but not noteworthy. The food was fast, hot and delicious! My wife and I had the lunch specials number 6 & 9 and the Queso Layered Dip. 5 Star experience at 2 star prices. I'm glad an old favorite got a new face to become a new favorite.

Great mexican food restaurant in Gilmer. Great selection and low prices. Jessica was our server and she was amazing! Took great care of us! Great food, great people low prices, what more could you ask for?

This was our first time eating here. We were seated within five minutes and immediately treated with chips and salsa, which both were very tasty. We ordered a cup of white cheese dip and combo fajitas chicken and beef. The chicken had a wonderful flavor, but the beef was simply like chuck roast. It was good but I've had better. The combo came with rice and beans and the typical setup. Service was very good and enjoyable.
