this place is a real hidden gem in Gladewater. The stakes are fantastic and the burgers are even better. Bring an appetite because you won't leave hungry. Bob, the owner is a really nice guy too

I went there for the first time last night. Food eas awesome. They have the biggest and best burger I have ever had. The staff were very nice, helpful, honest and beautiful. I love that the owner sits and talks to everyone. The atmosphere was kinda like being in a western movie. The band was awesome. The guitarist knows my step dads best friend from high school. The prices were cheaper than what I expected. All in all, I love it and plan on going back tonight. If I could, I would leave a 10 🌟 rating. And till next week, they are serving free beer

Great country setting. This place is kind of pricey, but definitely worth EVERY penny! The live music was perfect, and one of the best steaks I have received from a restaurant. The portions are more than enough, and the food is amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Great service! Awesome food! The 24oz porterhouse steak, loaded baked potato and salad was spectacular! The salad was more then what u normally get at other places. The steak was done to perfection and taste that cannot be duplicated! Nicest wait staff and fast service! Love this place! Our new favorite place ever!

Amazing steaks! Very tender and cooked perfect. Went on Friday evening and there was a band which were very good. Service was great. They hadn't gotn their liquor license yet but was working on it. However, you could bring your own liquor. We brought wine. Very enjoyable evening

We stopped at this place on our way back to McKinney, and WOW! If you are looking for a true East Texas honky-tonk steakhouse, this is the place. We happened to be there on Karaoke Night. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were awesome. I need to find out where the owner gets his steaks from. I'll be back for sure. Anyone know who the owners might be or how I might reach them?

This is a gem. Great food both burgers and steaks. A Texas style big place with a live band after 6:30. If you love the mystique of Texas, you need to make the trip to Gladewater. It's great. Talk to Bob. He.s an owner. An off the main road place. Go. Make a memory.

Our first time to the Cattalo was truly memorable! Our waitress was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and served us some delicious food: Boudin, Ribeye dinner and Hummingbird cake all so tasty! The owner checked on all the tables including ours. Lots of memorabilia that make this place stand out and a gem. Got to chat with owners for a bit and they made us feel like down home regulars. While in East Texas this stop is a must for genuine southern hospitality...

I believe the restaurant has only been opened for a few months. It is decorated with great detail as to perhaps telll the story of the life and interests of the owner. The atmosphere is friendly, the food is delicious and the menu offers a huge variety of wonderful food items. I can't wait to return. Gladewater is fortunate to have such a top quality restaurant at their doorsteps and it's worth the drive over from Longview to have such a nice,fun place to dine ..lunch or dinner. I noticed there is a stage, so I'm sure there will be quality entertainment in the evenings. I recommend it!!

The Stockyards steak house has the Best steak in East Texas! Bob will surely make you feel right at home. The saddle bag chicken is a must! And if you feeling good go ahead and go for the porterhouse. It's well worth it!

Had a Bandito burger.. came with beef and pork mixed... huge pati... it was great!!!

It was great! The staff was so friendly and kind. We will be going again and spread the word. Oh yes, the steak and sides were GREAT!

Great food, and even better atmosphere.. Live house band every night except Tuesdays which they have karaoke. Can't wait to go back..

Hey East Texas, I have been to ALL the steak joints between Shreveport Louisiana to the east side of Dallas Texas and the best steak I've ever had was that The Cattalo Cowboy. Leon's, you got yourself some competition!

Little slice of cowboy heaven. Bob's lifetime collection of signed photos of western artists, actors and singers graces the walls. Neal McCoy, Glen Campbell, Chuck Norris and Tom Landry to name just a few. Also to be found are farm implements and oilfield related tools and references.

I had the Jim Bowie steak which was big enough to have required the original Bowie knife to cut if it hadn't been so tender. Baked potato with all the trimmings was just as big. Wood fired taste permeated the steak as well as Bob's secret seasonings, which I couldn't put my finger on, but it was delicious.

UT was playing OSU on the tv's. The sound was turned down when a guitar picker took the Saturday night stage and opened with Merle Haggard's "Momma Tried" and quickly followed it up with George Strait's "Amarillo by Morning".

I'll definitely be back.

This restaurant has it all!!!! Great food,freindly atmosphere,amazing service and the price is awesome for the amount of food you get!!!! Can't wait to go back and try out some more of the menu!!!!!!!
