Goodwill Central Texas - Oak Hill Store

I love Goodwill for buying gently used items as well as the fun the kids have checking out new stuff and recycling instead of buying new. We also tried to drop our overflow items off instead of having a garage sale.

The selection is immense and the staff always greets me when I walk in the door. DVDs, artwork, aisles and aisles of clothing, and I even saw an unused couch pillow for $3 pillow that I got at IKEA for $20. You never know what you're going to find but it is definitely fun to browse till you find something that catches your eye.

This is by far the cleanest and nicest Goodwill I have ever been in. There is even a man walking around cleaning up the store. The store is well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. The store even has snacks!

Great location. Always find a deal when we visit here. Great staff.

This comment is about the service I received on Monday, December 5. I purchased an item by card and then quickly realized I had a “gift” card from a previous return. I asked if the charge could be voided so I could use the gift card. At first the clerk processed it as a return which just meant I would leave with another gift/return card…not what I had in mind. I questioned her further and (instead of telling me that was all she could do) called over a manager who spent what seemed like 10 minutes to give me what I asked for. I’m an older adult and remember when customer service was something businesses were proud of and have frequently lamented that it’s not something you see much anymore. I appreciated the effort taken so much!

My favorite Goodwill store. Fair pricing and excellent staff. I’m so glad Goodwill offers everyone a chance to have a job regardless of their past, race or disability.

Took a drive and ended up at the Oak Hill store....it was AMAZING! The store was clean and very organized. The staff made me feel welcome and not bothered at all that I asked a lot of questions! The inventory of items was in really GOOD/EXCELLENT condition. I really love the Goodwill stores, but I think this one will be at the top of my list to shop and have a nice relaxing drive since I live in North Austin!! Final shout out to the staff here...really friendly, down to earth people...thank you, Goodwill and BRAVO for your service!

I love this goodwill and I frequent it, however today I am appalled by the management. I witnessed a customer being very inpatient and misogynistic to a female African-American employee, the customer was getting upset because she was taking all the clothes off of the hanger, he then proceeded to put the clothes in her face for her to scan. He even called her a crazy woman. The young lady handled it very professionally, eventually the man left his card with his son to finish the transaction. As she finished what seemed like someone being trained or upper management and the manager approach the cash register the young lady informed them about the incident she said “In case anyone’s asking” the manager immediately replied with “No one is”. Being a manager with a team of 10 people I could not imagine reacting like that when one of my staff members felt uncomfortable and maybe even unsafe in a situation. I couldn’t even imagine a woman experiencing that after being yelled at by another man. I hope the management team gets the training they need in order to make a better environment for their employees.

Just dropped off some quality clothes for a friend they were friendly and took it right away Super professional

Well, not really but it is a huge, clean and organized store. You know that feeling when you grab a basket and hope to walk up and down every aisle without your husband rushing you. Well, I got to do that...for a while, then hubby rushed me out.

The prices were great, the staff pleasant and the store so organized and big. I will certainly head back there...(without the hubby rushing me)

Awesome location. We find so much cool stuff here and it's very easy to donate to. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The Manger is the best! Returns were hassel free with my receipt. Excellent store.

Out of all the Goodwill's I have been to, this one tops the list. The staff here are so positive, friendly and accommodating. They have a very large selection that's always organized neatly and categorized appropriately to sections. If your not into browsing the store you should definitely check out the in store auction they hold every Saturday. Some of the best items come thru this Auction and you don't want to miss out. Oh and while your in there ask for the GM Naomi. She's my favorite 😁😉

My sister and I are die hard thrift shoppers. We have visited every Goodwill as well as many other mom and pop thrift stores in the Austin area. The Oak Hill Goodwill is always our 'go to' thrift store in Austin. If we are anywhere close, it is always going to be a stop for us. The employees are always courteous and customer oriented The merchandise is constantly being refreshed and we never fail to find something of value to make our trip worthwhile. Thank you for your great customer service and please keep up the good work and positive attitude!

Came in to drop old clothes and materials. Helpful staffs help in collect the items and provide the receipt after the transaction. Located on main highway US-290.
Things sold for purchase are also of decent quality.Would recommend this store in south Austin. #HappyShopping

They have a lot of good stuff. Wide selection of items. The employees were helpful and attentive.(I must admit I am an employee of Goodwill, but NOT at this store. I will say that I can only hope that customers to the store I work at feel the same way as I did during my visit here!)

This Goodwill is very spacious and clean. They have a great variety of items to choose from. The parking is very spacious as well.

This is one of the best goodwill's I've been to while living in Austin. Tons of great items at great prices, gently used and the home decor/items are stocked and really nice as well!

This location is bright and organized, clean and friendly. It’s a favorite on my weekly thrifting treasure hunt. Naomi and Marvin are standout staff and are on top of making this store a great shopping experience! Five stars ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
