Was here for a week during SXSW. Staff was great. Location was super convenient. Room was good. No complaints at all. Would stay again, and highly recommend it to others.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! It's a beautiful space and feels like a retreat from the city. They have many thoughtful touches, like the colorful robes and hand crafted nooks for lounging or working.

The staff were also really friendly and made me feel welcome.

Love this hotel. Drinks are great and the vibe is amazing. My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and we had an awesome time. The location is perfect for a fun night out.

I will say that they have recently increased the drink prices a bit higher then I’d like…but I would imagine it’s getting more expensive for them to stay in SoCo.

Best kept secret in town. Funky but sheik! Have a drink in their magical courtyard, and enjoy the feel of this little oasis for escape.

Great experience at this boutique hotel on South Congress. Fun live music next door and perfectly located to be in the action when you want, and out when you want.

Ok I have to admit, we were at the Hotel and it was really nice, amazing location right on South Congress, the staff was great and gave us some knowledge on the history of the Hotel. The reason we were here was for the amazing Midnight in the Garden event. This concept and owners are super talented and amazing people. We always have such a great time. Thanks to the accommodating staff at the Hotel San Jose and high praises to the Midnight in the garden.

Amazing location - walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The hotel was so trendy looking and adorable. Very clean and the staff was super friendly! Beautiful grounds! The huge bonus is you can park at the hotel as long as you're a guest - parking on S Congress is very hard to find. It was quiet at night and the room was very cozy.

I've stayed here several times since I've moved away from ATX, and I won't stay anywhere else. Staff is amazing, so are the resident squirrels, grounds are impeccably kept, rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable, location is walkable for my favorite part of town. If you're reading this, just book the room, you won't be disappointed

When my husband and I travel with our dog, we always stay at Hotel San Jose. They are incredibly welcoming of our elderly dog. The front desk staff is ver accommodating of his special needs and ensure that we have a room on the first floor every time and put a soft, cushy dog bed in the room for him! Also, one of the best breakfasts in my opinion in Austin, the coffee is really delicious as is the French toast. Rooms are on the minimal side in terms of decor, but the hospitality can't be beat!

So grateful for the quality of customer service and care to detail. Simply the best!

Great place. Nice design. Good food. Great location. They could have better black out blinds but overall great value. Their sister hotel a few blocks away is even better but much more expensive.

Modern luxury style with all things glorious retro vibe. Expect a few original tiles to be broken, expect a warm sincere welcome, expect delicious coffee in the morning, expect a sublime location. Expecting the same old experience as a typical chain hotel? This is not the place for you.

The hip Hotel San Jose is part of the reason South Congress became such a hot spot. Austin classic, unbeatable location for a great time. Highly recommend!

Great hotel for hanging out and right in the middle of South Congress. The patio and pool area are very nice and go well with the cocktails and food at the hotel. Landscaping and use of space are great. Plus, it's 50 yards from the "I love you so much" thing (and I'm not sure why it's a thing, but people take selfies in front of it all day long).

very cool hotel, everyone here is so nice. rooms are small but cute and clean and everything is just perfect! and of course it is within walking distance to downtown and all the cool stuff on south congress.

Came by for some drinks and was happily surprised! Highly recommended their spicy margarita and coquito. Friendly vibe with seating inside and outside. Staff was super friendly and the place is dog friendly outside.

We spent a perfect week in March 2021 here, just after the historic snow and freeze. We were met by friendly staff each day who helped us sort out laundry, replaced what we needed by way of towels in a way that kept the current reality of our pandemic times in mind. The Courtyard room with the enclosed patio overlooking the lounge area and pool was perfect for working in the day and enjoying take out from the many, many tasty restaurants within an easy walk. Jo’s for coffee, tea, donuts, breakfast tacos, and much more was also super nice and handy. Thanks for making our week lovely.

I mean where to start with this gem of a hotel - I booked a few nights here to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday and wow did we have an amazing experience. Team took the proper covid precautions, and we felt very safe at the hotel. Rooms were clean and beautiful. We loved the patio cocktails. My favorite part of it all - the stellar team we interacted with. From Jared to Carrie to Angela, we just felt so welcome and comfortable. They took great care of us and we would return in a heartbeat just to interact with this powerhouse team. Will come back more regularly - felt like paradise.Best hotel in Austin!
