Had my son’s rehearsal dinner here! It was amazing! Mark and the staff were the best. We loved the atmosphere. The food was incredible! The brisket was the best we’ve had! Thank you to Mark for being amazing! It was perfect!

Another visit, another great experience. I had the "Tumbleweed" which is a brisket and grilled chicken sandwich with jalapeño jelly and other stuff that was fantastic. This picture was taken AFTER I ate a bunch of meat that fell of the bottom bun and you still can't see the bun. $12.00, seriously? You can't make it for that. Go enjoy this place and get 6 beer tokens for $21.00 and choose any beer in any cooler for 1 token!

This is always my families #1 place to eat in Brenham! Mark and his staff work incredibly hard and always provide the best customer service and the atmosphere gives you the perfect small town feel. They just put out some new items on their menu for the winter and they are FANTASTIC! The Pioneer is defiantly worth the stop!

We had our son’s graduation party here today…Mark and his staff did an outstanding job getting everything set-up for us. The food (pulled pork nachos) was outstanding and Mark kept everything fresh and full throughout the afternoon. Family owned business with excellent customer service. Stop by and check it out…really cool place for a party. Thanks Mark!

I feel like this is a hidden gem. We came here after leaving another place that had terrible service and food and decided to give this place a try. Super friendly service, a variety of tasty beverages and decent food. But the atmosphere is where this place shines. It’s comfortable and relaxed and can hear each other talk. Overall a great place to hang out with friends. 10/10 would recommend.

I am so impressed! I cook for a living! I will come back!!! The food forget about it! The people the families just as stellar! I would eat no where else! I mean how do you get that lucky!?

Always a stop when we pass by Brehnam. The bbq is very delicious! The baked potato and nachos are my favorite and the chili is one of the best! Love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend Pioneer Smokehouse, Mark is very friendly, great customer service!

What a spectacular place! Relaxed laidback backyard vibes. The FOOD!!!! Absolutely delicious … the pulled pork with peanut butter was the show stopper!!!

Atmosphere was great, friendly & comfortable, backyard style, fun music. AMAZING food! We tried it all. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sausage, hobo nachos, AND brisket loaded baked potatoe!! Staff was very friendly and personable. We will ne back when in the area!!

Food - excellence! Very cool hangout location too. I had the Guten Wurst sandwich. Wonderful flavors! Indoor and outdoor eating and entertainment. The hobo nachos are a feast!

Gotta say, this is some of the best BBQ We’ve had in a while. Staff was so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is great. We will definitely be back!!

Great barbecue! The brisket was tender and very flavorful! The patio is a great place to sit on a sunny day and enjoy the smell of barbecue. They have great beer variety!

If you are nearby just stop by it is the extremely delicious best BBQ I've ever had. It's a Hidden Gem in the state of Texas

We love this place for the great food and fun atmosphere!!! The outdoor seating on picnic tables is perfect for eating BBQ and listening to the music. Our entire family enjoyed it; including grandkids, parents and grandparents.

Food and service EXCELLENT, prices excellent. Seating needs an upgrade, picnic tables outside, and table with high stools inside... need chairs with backs and easier access for elderly and disabled. Otherwise, I loved it!

Had this for the first time last night. Highly recommend! All the food was excellent we had the Pioneer Party Platter and Loaded Mac & Cheese. So good! You don't leave hungry.

We had a great time here. We were looking for a place to eat nearby and this place looked really neat and rustic. We weren’t disappointed. Upon entering the building you place you order. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Then you choose a seat outside on the picnic benches. Our food came and was delicious and had generous portions. Our waitress was kind and treated us to some extras.
We played corn hole after our meal and ice cream.
There is some neat art that’s made from bottles and cans.
Highly recommended to check out and enjoy a real bbq meal.

Had a great lunch. Brisket plate. Coleslaw different than most. Love the cilantro addition. Brisket was great. The would smoke scent was intoxicating. Staff very friendly, atmosphere nice.

Awesome BBQ and atmosphere.

Had the sausage one meat plate and BBQ beans. Sausage was great, not spicy with just the right amount of texture. Didn't get any bones or funny stuff in the sausage. Had a nice wood flavor and spiced just right.

My wife had the potato with brisket. Tons of fixings included. We asked for Jalapeños and the brought us a whole cup full. The potato was good but the some of the brisket was grizzly. The majority was very good and tender.

We were still hungry after so we shared the hobo nachos with brisket chunks. This things are loaded and I would say get it to share. Excellent.

The atmosphere is awesome outside. Plenty of sitting areas and a little garden planters all around. Unfortunately it was a rainy Saturday day so there weren't many customers. But I bet this place is jumping at night.

My favorite part has to be the beer coolers and fridges that you just grab and go. Set up a tab and they add them to it. Beats waiting in long bar lines. They have a ton of craft and domestics. A very fun time Had here and we will definitely be back when in Brenham.
