Guncles Gluten Free

Always amazing. Everything I have ever had is top tier baked goods and for it to be gluten free is phenomenal. Most gluten-free cookies tend to be dry and crumbly. Not Guncles. I don’t know how they do what they do or what magic they possess, but I'm sure glad they are there!

I was diagnosed with Celiac about thirteen years ago, and it was rough trying to find great gluten-free food. This morning, my boyfriend and I went in there to try a few things. Not only were the staff so amazingly nice and awesome, but the food they serve is delicious! We will definitely be going back there! I got the oatmeal creme pies (as big as my hand), Bodacious Berry Cake (strawberry Bundt cake), and a cinnamon roll ( I also got it warmed). Delicious food and amazing people!!

The best bakery I've ever been to, not just the best gluten free, but the best period. The service was top notch and the establishment is spotless. The bread pudding and savory bisquits were out of this world. I cannot wait to go back!!!!

I have a lot of close friends who are celiac and as someone who isn't I'd still rank this the best bakery in town! The employees are incredibly helpful and passionate. I've never had a bad experience here. I love the concept of a fully celiac bakery, but I love how much joy it brings my friends even more - how they don't have any concern ordering anything from the menu because they know there won't be cross contamination. I HIGHLY recommend getting a warm cinnamon roll and a tea to enjoy while you are there and taking some of the cookies or a loaf to go for later. I could not recommend this place enough, all the prices are incredibly reasonable but I easily spend 30-50$ every time I walk in regardless because I get so excited about all the options. I've even talked to them about how to best transport their goods for long drives to visit gluten free friends! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

Although I’m not gluten free, I have tried many gluten free baked goods and have never been that impressed, until now.

Guncles absolutely nails it when it comes to accomplishing a totally gluten free product without sacrificing flavor or texture. We tried the cinnamon roll, bread pudding, cheese & herb biscuits, banana bread, and raspberry lemon friands (don’t judge us! 🤭) and everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!

Highly recommend and will absolutely be returning!

Friendly, fun and knowledgeable staff! Everything looks and smells fabulous! I just enjoyed the best cinnamon roll I have EVER had! And they ship! Fantastic!

Really enjoyed visiting this gluten free bakery. Purchased two Bundt cakes and a friand. They were all delicious. The Bundt cakes were berry and lemon and the friand had blueberries in it. All three items were delicious and I never would have guessed any of them were gluten-free. Also, purchased tea and it was good too. Perhaps the best part of guncles for a midwesterner was the drive down the street guncles is located on. The trees are all overgrown with moss and they have branches that hang over the street. It was beautiful. Nothing like that in indiana.

I've tried just about all brands of GF bread, and I just cannot do the taste/texture, which was just another bummer added to having to go GF, since I LOVE bread. I picked up a loaf when I bought my king cake (which should be a raving review all on its own). When I say this was the BEST bread I've ever tasted, I mean I ate it down to the heels, all on my own, and then made croutons out of those last two pieces. I consider the oatmeal cream pies a form of "self-love" and have zero shame in that they don't make it home from my hr long drive from this place. On top of everything being so so yummy, the bakers & owners are just great. So informative and so kind. ♡ This place really is something special.

I stopped in Guncles today for the first but certainly not the last time!
I originally went in just for biscuits but left with a chocolate ganache cake in hand, too. I haven’t even made it home yet and had to taste test the cake. My. Gosh. It’s absolutely incredible! I loved that the biscuits could be purchased fresh or frozen and came with baking instructions, too. I’ll be popping one in the over sooner than later!
To top it all off, the gentleman that greeted and assisted me was such a delight! Not only was he beyond welcoming, but he really took the time to go over all of the available items. I really appreciated his attentiveness.
I was only in the shop for 5 minutes, but it was such a great experience and I can’t wait to become a recurring customer!

Fantastic gluten free sweets and bread option. My spouse is gluten intolerant and she was in heaven being able to get high quality sweets and breads that are free of gluten.

We took home a variety of items and everything was great. The cinnamon rolls are excellent. And that’s coming from a person that can eat gluten 😉.

During our stop we were able to eat cinnamon rolls and have a cup of coffee, tea and OJ on a table in front of the store.

Note: you don’t go into the store. They come to you out front.

I found this place by accident while traveling and everything is amazing. Absolutely the best cookies and cinnamon rolls that I've had since getting diagnosed with Celiac many years ago. Looks like I will be finding excuses to go back to Mobile soon.

O M G these cakes are beautifully packaged and delicious. Really love the ingredients details on the back as we have different allergies and this helps a lot. We’re techie nerds so all the love and special details are absolutely amazing. Very nicely done Guncles!! A++ (who-hoo!!)

Great place for gluten free and non gluten free alike. The owners are so genuinely passionate about their business and customers. My girlfriend and I went to get a mini cake to share and it was amazing. Can’t wait to try the full size as well as all the other desserts!

Very professional modern and stylish business environment. We weren’t even sure what we wanted when we come in but John was very informative and was able to help get us exactly what we needed to satisfy our sweet tooth. The packaging was neat and presentable and it come in the cutest little clear box stuffed with tissue paper the little cake looked almost too beautiful to eat and it definitely tasted as good as it looked! For No GMO and gluten free food this cake was to die for and it was reasonably priced so we will be paying many more visits in the near future. Thanks Guncles!!!

Ohh my goodness! They had the BEST gluten free treats!! We were also met at the front by the most delightful and cheerful cashier. If you ever find yourself under the live oak streets of Mobile, definitely stop by for a treat!!!

The vibes inside of this beautiful bakery are immaculate! On top of the friendly and polished staff and environment, the team is also extremely patient and accommodating! We traveled 2 hours specifically to come by this place, we will do it again, and I highly recommend others do, too. It’s worth the drive! This is the kind of place that will stand the test of time.

So thankful for a gluten free bakery! I got the chocolate chip cookies with toffee and mini bodacious berry mini cake. The cookies are so thick & soft - always like they just came out of the oven. The cake was so delicious - my husband couldn't tell it wasn't a regular cake. Found out I can get their goodies in Fairhope at Kind Cafe or Page & Palette. Love love love this place!!

We love Guncles! The cinnamon rolls are so good! We also love the cheddar and buttermilk biscuits. We look forward to ordering a King Cake next year, since they told me it was a lot like the cinnamon rolls.

The staff were super sweet and they explained everything they had before having us choose out selection. It was a really laid back atmosphere which I appreciated. A great little gluten free bakery. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say.
