Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant

We've tried a few places at OWA and Lucy's is the best! The cesar salad is delicious, fresh and properly tossed. Shrimp tacos and burgers were great. Bit pricey for what it is but that's resort/tourist trap for you. Family of 5 ate for $85 and we didn't order any drinks other than water bc we needed to hydrate :)
Service was great and food was good. They do happy hour and half off some apps 3-6pm.
There is a small outdoor beach play area for kids.

We had a great time here! Best fries in AL! I had the shrimp tacos and my kids had a burger and salad! The drinks were good and not too strong. The staff was super friendly and we got our food in less than 15 mins. Will definitely visit again on our next stop through there!

I liked the atmosphere and service we received. Food was good too well proportioned. The outside deck is fun and comfortable.

We had a blast! It was almost empty, but it still took a long time to get our food. However, once we were served, I discovered that it was absolutely DELICIOUS! 😋
We also had a lot of fun playing jumbo #Jenga & the jumbo #ConnectFour game located just outside of the rocking chairs in the sand. I LOVED IT! I also LOST both games. 🤣☺👁 👁

Great experiance, they took care of our large group in timely fashion. Food was good, a little on a spicy side, so if you are not a fan of spicy food ask them to go light on seasoning.

So this was our first time dining at a restaurant since March 1st when all of the Covid started happening. It was a great experience! First of all our server Gabe was Ah-mazing! He kept us adults and our kids entertained and provided overall great service. 2nd the food was delicious and the portions very generous. The price was normal for our area as we are locals. The kids got super cute little drinks with sharks in them that they enjoyed very much. We sat on the back patio and the fans made it feel nice and relaxing. The view of the water is gorgeous as well. Overall just a great dinner out. Honestly I wish I would've taken more pictures of the drinks and food, but we were enjoying our time so much not a single phone was out.

Yummy food and drinks! The shrimp and grits were unique but delish🤤 Fun place to go and next time we will try for a water front table!

Laid back excellent atmosphere. We sat in a glider out on the lake. Michael was an excellent server, very attentive. Fodd was delicious. The long board seafood platter can serve 2 or 3 people. We also had the shrimp and grits without the honey jalapeno butter. It had enough zest without being too spicy. We will return.

Great surf atmosphere and very good service. The food and drinks were very good. I would suggest the bushwhacker for drinks and the appetizers are perfect for sharing. The queso is excellent.

Service was quick, Shrimp Tacos (surf style) tasted like Heaven! Ol Greg was cool, fun and amazing! We live in Gulf Shores, eat ALOT of restaurants locally and this is my new favorite spot! Greg is definitely my new favorite server from any restaurant!!!! Such an awesome atmosphere and a dope place to eat, especially for someone that enjoys surfing. 🤙

Everything was pretty good. Our server Michael L did an amazing job as well ! I definitely recommend getting the steak and gravy sandwich, it’s delicious!

We went in for a late lunch, 1 of 5 tables. Our server was AMAZING! I wish I could remember his name! He was very laid back and also connected with my toddler (who preferred if we ate at the splash pad) and helped make the whole experience awesome!
The food was good, the service was excellent, the tables outside on the water were really cool too. It’s a gliding table which feels like sitting on a porch swing while eating. The sand area was small but big enough for a kid to entertain themselves while waiting for food.
We will visit again on our next vacation!

We came in here for a couple of drinks and after we’d been here for a while the chef came out with a huge Fajita Steak Salad. He offered it to us complimentary and asked for honest feedback and if we would maybe do a review. He’s hoping to add it to the menu at some point in the future. It was absolutely delicious! It’s got several layers and I don’t remember the order but the bottom has seasoned roasted potatoes topped with queso. There’s spring mix, pico de gallo, fajita steak with onions and peppers, fresh avocado, cilantro, queso fresco and a chipotle ranch to top it off. Everything is made from scratch right here. We will most definitely be back to try more things from the menu but will be hoping for this one to become a permanent fixture!

What a fantastic place! The ceviche is absolutely divine and the Shark Attack drink goes perfectly with it. I will definitely be back! Can't wait to have the ahi tuna salad. The Staff are accommodating and cordial and the decor is one of a kind. I'll be back on a couple days! Yummy!

For a small chain, the food and service were on point and fresh. Very touristy like all things at OWA, but definitely a better choice than Paula Dean's

Michael was a phenomenal server!! He suggested the pink flamingo drink and it was delicious!! The food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this waiter and Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar!

The food was GREAT! visit Kelly at the bar or asked for Nicki to be your waitress. Both are excellent staff!

Nice gem we stumbled upon.....the fried grilled tomato BLT & grilled shrimp tacos were delicious! We also loved the curly potato wedges/fries. We sat outside overlooking the water in a cute little swing. Our waitress, Stephanie, was very polite, which was refreshing. We will definitely be back!

We stopped in after a morning at OWA amusement park. It hit the spot with delicious shrimp and fish tacos for the adults and shrimp and cheese quesadillas for the kids. It was one of the better meals we had on vacation to Gulf Shores.
We ate inside because it was a little hot to be on the patio, however it's hard to beat the views out there.

Dropped in here to celebrate a birthday and Kelly, her manager and everyone we came in contact with made it the best birthday celebration. We will be back!❤
