El Tejano

Ordered from their Lunch Menu. Lots of tasty choices at reasonable prices. The house salsa is at the top of such restaurants in Birmingham. The Pico de Gallo was great. Loved the fajitas, burritos and enchiladas.

We'll be going back!

Excellent service! Very good food, nice atmosphere! I will definitely be coming back here to try some other items! I had the California burrito with shredded chicken but I got into eating it before I took a picture. IT was very good. Sophie told me that this chicken soup that they have is excellent! The waiter walked by me with an order of the soup and it smelled delicious so I will definitely take Sophie's advice in the future.

Dog friendly and wonderful family type service. Perfect food. Guacamole seems made to order. Salsa is perfect. Been here many times but first time we brought the dogs. They cooked a plain pounded chicken breast filet for me that I shared between our two dogs at their patio dining today. They were about to snooze out after. I eat here once a week at least.

I would give this restaurant more than 5 stars if available. The staff is great, amazing service but the food is absolutely the best!!

More authentic than I thought it would be! I really like that they used black beans with the meal instead of red or pinto. I ordered the Chilles Toreados with my meal (which are grilled until blistered Serrano peppers and onions). This was a perfect addition to the meal since I didn't have to add hot sauce to the dish!

The atmosphere was great, the food & my margaritas were excellent & the people were very friendly.

Had the pineapple fajita combo and it was delicious, for anyone wanting a taste of the tropics this is your dish. The combo of chicken, shrimp and beef is served in a cored out Roasted pineapple and the pineapple strips are layered on top.

El Tejano is a great little secret in Helena AL. The food is really good and the customer service is great. I highly recommend a meal here and always recommend you check out there daily specials as you cannot go wrong with the food.

My husband and I have been here a couple times since moving to the area and absolutely love it here. They have great food and great service. The watermelon margs are the best we've ever had, and their steak nachos are to die for.

Upon walking in I just didn’t think it was going to be good but I have to say it was very good
They seem a little tight on their food
I ordered a taco salad and there was very little cheese and tomato’s
The cheese dip was excellent though definitely a top 3 in my book

Group of 25-30, we did pre-schedule, they handled very well. When everyone arrived, orders were taken, when food started being served, everyone had their food within a few minutes. Handle well, food was delicious.

Delicious margaritas, too shelf, the salt was purple, adding some pizazz ;) chips and salsa was great with a little heat, and the pineapple fajitas were delicious, let’s not forget about the quick and kind service :) great night out for dinner

Very good Mexican food and good friendly service.

My wife and I eat here fairly often. The owner and staff are always friendly and the food is delicious. Sometimes the wait times can me a little long on the food, but with the labor shortages these days, that is every restaurant. Would recommend.

Good food, good service, fair prices. Several screens showing sports if you're into that kind of thing. Clean restrooms. No complaints from me.

Came here tonight for their 4th anniversary, It was amazing service, they had great live acoustics & even a mechanical bull! It was a very fun experience! (P.s my brother works there also, so I got to see him as well :) ).

I had lunch there today with my brother. The service was excellent, chips and salsa was damned good as per my brother. I had the chicken fajitas and they were awesome. This was my 3rd visit and it gets better each time. It is becoming one of my favorites.

The food at El Tejano was delicious. The prices were super fair, the staff was very attentive & friendly. The restaurant & restrooms were all very clean. Indoor and outdoor seating. I can't say one bad thing about this restaurant. We will definitely be back. And the queso dip is so yummy!
