Grand River Drive-In

I LOVE visiting this drive-in! So affordable and such a cool experience. They show new movies and theme them by the time of year as well. There is a super cute put-put golf area attached to the Leeds Mall, and some restaurants. I will say the restaurant area needs a lot of work. It was super disorganized and our food was quoted to take 10 minutes when it really took 35 so we missed the first bit of our movie. We still had a good time, but we will try something else to eat instead. Be aware that there are no speakers and the audio plays through your car radio so don’t let your car battery die!

UPDATE: It has been a year or so since I went. The snack bar is a shadow of it's former self, instead replaced with a duo pizza/barbecue joint. It's good, but YMMV.

Great drive in with a good amount of parking per screen. Open mostly year round, I've been in cold and warm weather and it is a good all around experience. The snack bar isn't too outrageously priced and they actually have good food.

This place is top notch! The drive in movie experience here is second to none. My family and I love coming here. It’s spacious, the food is good, there is more to do than just watch the movies. You get 2 for the price of one with the movies. There’s mini golf and other things that the kids can do here. The lot stays nice and smooth and there are garbage cans everywhere. If you have never tried the drive in you would love it! Highly recommended!!!

Been here a few times this past summer, and it is so fun and clean. Kinda wish people weren’t smoking so much weed at kids movies but whatever… The staff was so helpful when I had a question and even offered to call me back if they were wrong. I highly recommend it if you have kids and want to let them be kids while watching a movie.

It was my mine and my husbands first time coming. And it was an amazing experience. It’s a cheaper alternative to a over crowded movie theater. The food was good for it being a drive in. It’s not fancy but then again your not at a 5 star Michelin restaurant. We will definitely be back again.

Had my first date with my boyfriend here. 🥰 So definitely some great memories have been made here and more to come! ❤ Perfect for all ages!! Highly recommend!!

It's a complaint but I still enjoy going... Screen 4 was rather hard to see due to the light in the parking lot behind the fence. Hopefully something can be done to turn some off. I didn't ride over there but this light was angled differently and I felt like it was a portable construction site light.

I haven't been to a drive-in for around 25-30 years, came during my birthday weekend, tried seeing the Barbie/Meg 2 double feature and have been hearing Blue Beetle & Equalizer 3 over the Barbie movie the entire time, I haven't been able to hear any of the Barbie movie, all three movies have been overlapping since the start. Blue Beetle has been the loudest and that is the screen I have been the furthest from. I was tuned to the station I was directed to tune to; 93.1 the whole time, it has just made it a very unpleasant experience.

Editing to admit, this was my fault, I messed up with my station in my car. I of course read the station number off the slip I received at the box office and knew it said 93.1, and thought I had my station set to 93.1, but during the last 10-15 minutes of Barbie, I started just scanning stations, and got to a station where I could hear Margot's voice without any other interruptions and the dial said 93.1, that's when I noticed the station I had it on previously and saved when I first set my FM station was on 91.3, so am so sorry, for the misunderstanding. I have updated my review. I was able to watch the entire Meg 2 movie and it was excellent and an awesome experience! I'm excited to visit again soon! Going to the drive-in used to be a frequent part of growing up in Indiana, and going to the drive-in for the first time in so long really brought back those nostalgic feelings! The young lady working the Snack Shack was the sweetest, she had offered me a raincheck which after I realized the mistake I had made, I took it back to her cause I felt bad for me being the idiot. I still find it curious, that even after I realized I had transposed the channel numbers that I wasn't just hearing the movie assigned to that station, but was hearing all 3 movies. I have a brand new 2023 RAV4 that I just purchased on August 11, and I don't listen to the radio, I only use my Audible or Pandora on it, so it took me a second to even change the radio without having a normal radio dial to use.

What a great place for a family night out, date night, or just an evening to yourself. It's $8 per adult, pets are free 😄 and you get a double feature! I like the screen / box office set-up, the concessions are really good - best movie theater popcorn I've ever had actually, and the people are super friendly. Of course we ran our car battery down, oops, not a problem - they have a golf cart prepared to save you! Don't forget a normal radio so you can tune in sans auto and enjoy the movie from your bag chair, picnic blanket, back of the pickup, comfort of your car, etc... I just love it and so does my pup 🐶

Great setup for anyone concerned with COVID distancing. The radio signal for the movies is fantastic, and there's plenty of room. Best movie experience I've had in years. Glad they reopened!

Watching the creed 3 on screen 4 and you can’t really see well, there’s a big spot light pointing towards the screen so it just ruins the experience of a drive in movie honestly. They read my review and fixed the problem quickly, thank you!

Very nice family oriented place. Great movies at a cheap price. $5 for 2 movies. Excellent staff. Very helpful. The young gentleman who works there, help assist us with our flat tire out in the cold. A1 service.

Drive-ins are so great for a family experience. Also with the price of movie tickets this day it is a great thing for your budget also. We really enjoyed and can't wait to see the finished additions.

Good times with family. Love to take the grandbabies. We shop and settle down to Good snacks and movies.

The staff and managers are fantastic! My wife is deaf and they were able to turn on cc with just a days notice. This was the first drive in movie my wife were able to attend where I did not have to interpret in 20 years of marriage. I can not praise these people highly enuff. It's clean, and the concessions stand has all the standard fare. Great fun for the whole family.

Have been to this drive-in a couple times and have not been disappointed yet. Important to note that there is no cell phone app that will pick up the radio station needed to view the movies, but they will provide you with a portable radio from the food counter if you leave your license as reserve if you don't wish to use your vehicle radio. Otherwise, you can easily bring a radio of your own to tune-in. Food and snacks are good and parking area is plenty spacious. Haven't run into any problems at this location and I hope our experiences continue to be just as good as I prefer this experience over an actual movie theater any day!

Screen 3 was experiencing technical difficulties the entire night. They would get it showing well for a minute then it would revert back to the original distortion. Really dissatisfied.

*Update: Updating star rating from 2 to 5. Issue was resolved in a timely manner and great customer care was provided. Looking forward to returning to Grand River. Great food by the way

I was so impressed with the setup of the drive-in! Four different screens. Open parking lot so you can face forward or sit in the back of your SUV or bring chairs and sit outside.
They have 2 restaurants (Saw’s BBQ and pizza) along with a full bar. Sit inside or at picnic tables outside. Mini golf.
One note: The sound comes through your radio so if you are going to use your car stereo you might drain the battery. Leave the car running for a little while between movies to recharge and make sure to bring jumper cables just in case!

We drive 2 and half hours to get to this drive in and I'm so glad we did! Its very clean and the staff is super friendly. The concessions were also really good. Not the standard popcorn and sodas but they offer burgers, chicken and hot dogs too. Highly recommend this place for a date night or family night!
