Doug & Hazel's Drive In

This is a nice family-oriented, inexpensive restaurant! Purchased the large cheeseburger plates with onion rings & hamburger steak plate for my granny. Onion rings are so light and very tasty. Unfortunately I could not finish them all because the hamburger was huge! Very delicious as well. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. For 3 people, a total of $34 spent... well pleased and I will be back!

This place is “Totally Amazing”, been coming here since the 70’s and although lots have changed with the building and owners the food has never changed……NEVER had a bad experience here. I simply and sincerely love their cheeseburgers and fries and their hamburger steaks, staff is friendly and helpful. Just to add, I drive over 50 miles to get here, one way.

Drove to Columbus yesterday and went by and got my fix…..Lg. Cheeseburger and fries with a glass of tea. Don’t know if it was because I hadn’t been in several weeks but my, my it was “wonderful”…..so much for burger joints, they can’t even compete with Doug & Hazel’s cheeseburger’s. Like I said, I drive 50 miles for this and love it.

Made my trip to Doug & Hazel’s yesterday afternoon, the place was covered up. Had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table but it was worth it. I had my usual and my partner in crime had the hamburger steak. Folks it just don’t get better than this, if you never been there you need to treat yourself. The other burger joints can’t compare !!!

Yes it’s sometimes crowded, but for all the right reasons! It’s delicious, and everybody wants it! I like the chicken livers, but the country fried steak is great too!

Best burger and catfish in town. I am a picky eater. I dont usually eat ground beef because of finding gristle, but their meat is really good. I love that it's so brown and crispy. We like their catfish as well. Only thing I don't like is their slaw and the noise! The slaw was warm and kinda bitter, but I've had worse. The noise can be a bit unnerving. The chairs scraping is loud and the person that clean the tables just throws plates in the tub and it's loud. The room itself just amplifies noise. It annoys my husband so much he about won't go. The noise can be pretty obnoxious. So if you are sensitive to noise..this is a noisy place. Otherwise get a burger, it's great!

Food is great. Had steak cooked to perfection with right seasoning. Boom Boom shrimp real good

Came from Alabama for lottery tickets and found a winner at Doug and Hazels! Best hamburger steak I've ever eaten! Great service and prices. Looking forward to going back.

Love this place. Great hole in the wall Diner with amazing food. My burger was incredible. The catfish was awesome. Real catfish filets, too. Two of them filled my friend up. Services was great. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth 5 stars!!!

Great food with awesome service!! I personally recommend a small double burger or a philly. The large double is definitely large. I skipped the fries on mine and I'm glad I did because I barely finished my burger it was so big. The burgers also have a different cheese TV han most and the house ketchup is better than other brands.

It was out first time eating there and everything was great. Friendly waitress, good food, clean on the inside and out, prices are great. Definitely will go back again.

This place does a cheeseburger on a sour dough bun that will cause you to leave a 5 star review. I am 250 lbs so you can trust what I say about good food. Don't forget to add bacon....

This place has good food (little high). Always friendly, clean, and fast. The have the best cheese (I call them logs) sticks.

Service is always great and so is the food. Hamburger steak is my favorite here. Not the cheapest place to eat but you get what you pay for!!! It's worth it!!

I've been going to Doug & Hazel's my entire life, and it's still one of my favorites. If you're looking for a very classic American Diner experience with great burgers and (the best) onion rings. This is your place.
