This place is fantastic! The food is delicious! The staff goes above and beyond! And the restaurant itself offers a cozy view of the lake. The outdoor seating area is perfect for large group gatherings, while the indoor space is more suitable for a bit more intimate settings. You can't go wrong with any of the meal choices - they're all tasty and will leave you wanting more, even after you're feeling stuffed.

Okay, so, you may be thinking that the image attached to this review doesn't quite reflect all the praise I'm giving this place. But trust me... IT IS GOOD! Just because it doesn't look like something Gordon Ramsay would serve at his restaurant, doesn't mean it's not good. Don't be afraid to visit this place due to its secluded location or my bad picture - I usually do better. it's just that I was so into this sandwich that I completely forgot to take a more appealing photo... you can even see the bites on the one half of the sandwich.

Why are you still reading this far down into my review? Just go! make plans for lunch, dinner, or whatever time of the day you want (just check their business hours first). I wish I could tell you the name of the super-friendly and awesome young lady that served us... she was absolutely wonderful and very patient with our group as we looked over the menu and worked hard to decide on what to eat. Even though I can't remember her name, I praise her service, personality, and eagerness to ensure you have a good time while eating good food. Whenever I'm back in Columbus, MS, I will definitely go back to this restaurant. 5 out of 5, solid recommendation.

Found this place 16 years ago while living in Meridian, MS. Made a special trip from Birmingham just to eat here again. Was not disappointed! Forgot to take pics of the food, we were starved, but we had 2 smoked turkey sandwiches, a reuben, and red beans and rice. All were very good, just like it was 16 years ago! The folks here are really friendly and they are seating limited numbers of people inside and out. If you are any where close, please stop and try this place!

Good food, great atmosphere! I forgot pics of our food, but did get updated menu pictures! I had the club sandwich, and others in my group had the gumbo, roast beef sandwich, and red beans & rice. All was excellent!

Delicious food, it was a beautiful day to sit outside on the deck and the service was great!

Very good food and service ....... my seafood sandwich was fresh and delicious. My waitress was very nice and made sure we were well taken care of.

One of our most favorite places to eat. Sandwiches are always delicious. Our favorites are the Smoked Turkey, Ruben and French Dip. All the deserts are amazing!

Driving through we happened on this little cabin by chance, it was wonderful from the atmosphere and the staffs smiles. To the best Ruben and fresh made cheesecake I have ever had.

Fun old place. Great view and outdoor seating. Southern food was solid. Super nice owners and wait staff.

My wife has been wanting me to try this place, so it was a no-brainer when we happened to pass through Columbus recently. The food, service, and experience did not disappoint.

This place and the people help to restore you with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and very tasty food. They give you more than your money's worth that satisfies your hunger and your budget.
Campbell has run this family business for 37 years, always putting people first. Try the red beans and rice or the gumbo! The sandwiches are packed with great meat and seasoning too!

This restaurant has remained pretty much unchanged for the last 25 years. Any time I need to stay overnight in Columbus I try to eat here. I love the seafood sandwich followed by the chocolate chess pie. The atmosphere is really nice there with the large covered deck and beach by the lake.

This is the best little place in town by far! The prices arent too bad, and the food is absolutley outstanding! The Cam and red beans and rice is unbeatable. I highly suggest. The restaurant has a very nice homey feeling to it. The waitresses are very polite, attentive and never leave you waiting!

As always, food is delicious, and service great. We ate on the porch at noon, but the fans and breeze made it guite nice. Eagles were not home today. Beautiful lunch!

I get to visit when I am working at our site in Columbus. The service and food is always good. Had a half cam sandwich today and a cup of Red Beans and Rice. Excellent food and the tea was spot on.

The half sandwich fills most people, comes with plain chips and side pickle wedge. Good selection of sandwiches, red beans& rice or other dishes, great desserts. I prefer roast beef, comes with a light gravy, mayo, lettuce and tomato. BLT is on a bun and loaded with bacon. I've taken many guests here and always enjoyed it. A very large, nice area to eat outside on days when it is not too hot or eat inside in the AC. Family owned and operated. Visitors to Columbus should definitely try it.

This place never disappoints. My favorite is their red beans and rice. And don’t forget the chips and dip for an appetizer.
