I went to the Er yesterday morning with extreme nausea and stomach cramps. The staff was amazing to me and treated me so well in my moment of need. The nurses put warm blankets around my shoulders and body so that I would get warm. The doctor was very knowledgeable and kind. I felt like the staff was very sympathetic of my condition. Thank you to everyone that helped me. You were a huge blessing. I have not felt that bad in my life.

I took myself to the emergency room yesterday with sudden onset extreme abdominal pain, scared to death. Was in a bed within 30 minutes I think. The nurses were very nice, thoughtful. Diagnosed quickly after CT scan, treated and released same night. PA Justin Matthews was especially kind and patient and answered all my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. So glad my friend directed me to this ER instead of an urgent care. Very thankful!

I had to take a family member to the ER Monday for a kidney stone. Everyone was great from start to finish. Trent was our triage nurse and our provider was Ashley Self. We could not have ask for a more compassionate and efficient team. They both were great about explaining the process and addressing the patients pain right away.

My family had a stomach virus and it finally caught me. We are new to the OB area and decided to go into the ER because I haven’t seen a PCP yet. I never even sat down in the waiting room! Everyone was so kind and efficient, giving me an IV to ease my nausea, and doing whatever it took to get me as comfortable as possible. I am especially grateful to Landon and Crystin for taking care of me. I hope I never need to go back here but feel comforted knowing such a great facility is close to home.

The staff was so friendly, I was only here for about an hour and half. I went for a uti they quickly did a urine test and came back with prescriptions and sent me on my way. If I am ever back this way and need to see a doctor I would def go back!

Was very sick and visiting family in Silverhill. Went to urgent care first and was sent to ER. The staff was so kind and attentive! I could not have had a better experience from the ER staff and the Doctor and from the nurses and staff ! I was admitted to the hospital and received excellent care. Dr Norwood was my Dr who was so kind and very professional and got right to my problem. I am so very grateful for them being there for me. Please don’t hesitate to go here if you need care.

Everyone was very courteous and the process was as swift as we could have hoped for. We checked in around 5:00 am July 1 2020 with my wife having a kidney stone. This was during the Covid time period, but we felt very safe.

I went ER for Covid- oxygen sats in the 80s- waited 5 hours in my car- got bloodwork, back to car- ekg- back to car, cxr- back to car- I was seen by two physicians -my sats did rise to the low 90s —the first one suggested I use Ivermectin and get on a steroid- the second one said he’d never heard of ivermectin and when I asked about him oxygen- he said he’s never ordered oxygen before. His name is Dr. Sims he needs to be replaced he thinks he’s amusing and that place is too busy for him to be running around feeding his ego. They had me sign my discharge papers- sending me home with nothing. I asked the nurse to go back and ask the first physician if she would give me the steroids and a copy of my bloodwork and chest x-ray. Remember now- I’ve already signed my discharge papers. The nurse goes out asks- and she gives me the steroids and realizes my potassium is too low and gives me a potassium supplement- I got the copies of my bloodwork and immediately went to see a pulmonologist.
Apparently they never looked at my bloodwork before I was discharged and I had critical values all up and down on my lab work. My CXR showed pneumonia. They have got to come up with a better plan on how to treat Covid patients.

I went last night after hours of sleepless pain and high blood pressure, not because of pain, but because I was having trouble breathing. The front desk was efficient and I was taken back with 20 minutes. Mind you it was 1 in the morning and the parking lot was nearly empty (around a dozen cars) and not a soul in the waiting area. By the time I saw the doctor after another hour, my breathing had returned to normal. He ordered bloodwork, which was badly botched by the nurse. After skewering me 3 times, the last of which was so painful I finally started yelling and told her to stop. Her parting words were someone else was going to have to “stick me to get blood”. As a type 1 diabetic who has regular bloodwork, I have never had an experience like that. Long story short, if whatever is wrong with you may require bloodwork, go to Foley.

Went here twice in the past week. Got treated like a drug seeker, even though my labs and scans showed kidney stones. The doctors and the nurses didn't listen to me or my concerns, and I waited 2 hours for nausea medicine then was discharged without it. After the second time, I went to a hospital in pensacola my fiance worked at previously, and was diagnosed with a bacterial kidney infection on the verge of sepsis. So, no thanks to SBRMC ED, but I'm still alive. Won't be back and will avoid anything to do with the incompetence in the ED. Dr. Miner and a male PA treated me like i didn't matter and I was stupid. Going in as sick as I was and treated that way made me leave feeling worse tha i went in. The people at the front desk and triage were nice and efficent though.

I've lived in Foley my entire life and I don't think I've ever had a positive experience with this ER. Wait times are ridiculous, most the doctors are rude and inattentive, the nurses stand around gossiping about the patients where everyone can hear. I heard them talking about me once, saying I was faking to get pain meds and I wasn't even complaining of pain! I just needed something to stop vomiting.
I have no issue with South Baldwin hospital in general. Most their departments are great. But I would rather drive all the way to Pensacola or Mobile than be treated the way patients are treated by the Emergency Room.

After reading the reviews on the freestanding er in Gulf Shores I decided not to go there but to go to the ER in Foley with my 2 year old granddaughter who had been vomiting and very fatigued. After a 3 hour wait in the waiting room, finally got a room that was disgusting blood on the wall, trash in the room, nurses that were so overworked. The staff seemed unqualified to be working in a ER. After five hours of being there they decided to give her zofran to stop the nausea. However they didn't have children's medication so the gave her half of the adults dose. Never have I been to a more horrible place. Never go here!

I had a terrible experience. I wouldn’t even give them a star if it was a choice. Went to the ER and waited to be seen for 3 hours. Finally got was brought back to a room and the nurse didn’t stay in the room long enough to get my vitals nor to get me anything for pain even though I told him my pain was at a 10. Doc cam in for 5 minutes to tell me he’d give me a shot to help with the pain. Never returned. We had to call the nurses station to get assistance and then again to ask them to discharge us. They were not busy by any means. I would absolutely never recommend coming here.
