Lambert's Cafe

The food was delicious and service was great! We came at a busy time so we had to wait half an hour. But that's understandable at Sunday lunchtime! The only complaints I have are that they need bigger restrooms and it was noisy! The rambunctious boys sitting behind me kept banging on the booth back that we shared! But other than that it's a fun family place to go!

Such a fun dining experience. A short wait for a table on a Thursday evening. So much fun catching rolls thrown across the dining room. And delicious. Very prompt service and the food came out unexpectedly quickly. The sweet tea is right on point. Haven't had a bad meal here. Go for the thrown rolls, stay for the fried ocra. I do miss all the writing on the walls. Guessing the commies from the health department didn't like it. Too bad; that was a really fun part of the experience.

I came here for the men’s family trip, and this is the first time being in here. In my opinion, it kinda reminded me of the Cracker Barrel with the atmosphere a little bit. The one unique thing about this place is that they (literally) throw the rolls around, and that is awesome. The waitress who served us(I forgot her name) was very nice. For the food, I had the catfish dinner, and I also had the fries and potato salad. It was very delicious. The fish was fried pretty well. It looked something familiar to Catfish King (if you heard of that). They had waiters walking by with other sides not on the menu like black eyed peas, fried okra, and macaroni and tomatoes. My cousin tried it, and he said that it was all right.

This is a really fun and different experience. Servings are large and delicious, and prices are reasonable.

The sides are brought around in buckets, and all you care to eat. My favorite was the potatoes and onions.

Biscuits are fresh baked, and on a large baking sheet. The server throws them to you from across the room :) They are so yummy!

Was my first time here and an amazing first experience. Place was packed but seating was very fast. The rolls they throw are big, warm and fresh. The food and atmosphere have a southern feel, it tastes great, and you get way more food than you can finish. Would definitely recommend 10/10.

My kids and I went with my family for lunch before heading back home and it was our first time ever at a Lambert's. The food was absolutely amazing! The ticket was a little high for 4 of us however we each took home a plate full of food for the next day so it balanced out. I got the frog leg plate and I promise if you ever get it you will NOT regret it! They were huge and it was so juicy! Totally recommend this place!

A friend recommended Lambert's to us and our family loved it. The wait was long but they have sufficient seating to make it comfortable. While waiting, we checked out the gift shop and went to the rest room. Finally the text came and we made our way to the hostess. As we're walking to our seat, they were chucking rolls across the venue. I knew what they did here but no one else in my party did. As we were seated, the rolls came flying our way, I caught mine but my poor dad got hit in the side of the head before he knew what was going on. He wasn't very amused but he went back several days later when friends joined him in town so he got over it. The food was good, the sides were very simple, but good. The extras they offer make sure you don't leave hungry. Overall, fun atmosphere, good food, and great memories from vacation! Oh yeah, and the rolls didn't just throw well, they taste great too. As a bonus, they provide plenty of butter right on your table. We'd be back in a heartbeat if we're in the area.

What a fun place! May be a bit more than you normally spend but boy do you get your money's worth!! The "passaround" food was amazing!!! Great service and great atmosphere! And it was fun to watch how they throw-d-rolls at you while you eat. Worth the wait!!

Lambert's Cafe is a must-visit restaurant in Foley. The atmosphere is lively and the food is absolutely delicious. The portions are huge and the staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend trying their famous throwed rolls and indulging in their Southern comfort food. Definitely deserving of 5 stars!

One of the unique places. Servers pass along with pots and give you different kind of side dishes. Food portion is big.... actually huge. And people walking around with the food just add to your plate. Most of the food has a lot of salt though, so be careful and don't overeat. Hospitality is good, you leave the table very stuffed and still have enough food to take it with you.

Such a great place! The roll tossing is fun plus they taste amazing, especially with molasses or apple butter. Loved my chicken fried steak! The kids loved it too.

Easter Sunday. Long line started about 1030 for 11 am opening. Doors opened at 11, everyone was inside in less than 10 minutes. We ordered and had our food by 1120. Joy was our server and was fantastic. Paid and out the door by noon. College students should do research papers on how efficient this place is. It's not a quantity over quality place either. Everything they serve is amazing. One of the best bang for the buck places you can go.

My first visit to Lambert's Cafe was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with exceptional service. My husband opted for the chicken pot pie with mashed potatoes, and I had the liver and onions, also served with mashed potatoes. The food was not only delicious but also comforting, just like a home-cooked meal.
One of the standout experiences at Lambert's was the unique way they serve their rolls – by playfully tossing them to the diners. It added a fun and memorable element to the meal. The bread itself was absolutely delicious and a perfect complement to our dishes.
Overall, Lambert's Cafe provided us with a fantastic dining experience, from the scrumptious food to the entertaining bread-throwing tradition. We left with full stomachs and a big smile, eager to return for another memorable meal.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was able to get right in. The food was terrific and loved the atmosphere. Want rolls? Hold your hand up and one will come sailing your way.

I loved everything we ordered, fish and fries for the kids and the hamburger steak, golden fried chicken it is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 🤤

The buns! OMG the buns are just to die for! Fluffy and warm and they’ll let you have as many as you want! They also have lots of sides you can choose from that they offer while you are having your entree such as apple butter, macaroni and tomatoes, potatoes and onions (to me this were the best), hot bun rolls, fried okra and black eyed peas. Also if you have a birthday person you can tell them so they can announce it and cheer. I really enjoyed it

I forgot! Also they have a wooden train outside so kids can play while waiting for a table

This is such a fun place to go. Plenty of food, wait staff are fun & throwing of the rolls always makes me smile. Stopped here on a whim on vacation a couple of years ago, now we make a point of stopping when we come back. Only downside is the wait. Be prepared to sit for an hour if not more. But the wait is worth it. They have an outside gift shop to help pass the time. Just go & have fun.

Lamberts was a fantastic experience!!! The waiter during my first visit here was super fun and the roll throwing was hilarious 😂 My family was constantly smiling and laughing while we here here. There was so much food given to us for what we paid for, we left with tons of leftovers and they even gave us a bag of a dozen rolls for free!! The pass arounds are unique and delicious. The staff is very friendly. Comfort food at its finest! Our waitress was new and did a wonderful job serving us 😁 😁

For what you are getting it is a nice experience. The cost seems a little high but when you include that there are servers constantly walking around with limitless food and bread, then the prices are reasonable. But the place fills up fast so get there early!

Great experience! If you’ve never had a huge dinner roll thrown at you while you’re eating, you’re missing out! Great food, super large helping with plenty of ‘Walk around Sides” and of course, the rolls. Great, super friendly service and great country type atmosphere. And cost less than you would expect. If you’re traveling on I/10 in Alabama anywhere near the Foley exit, GO!

AMAZING southern food! So worth the 90 min extra drive. Such a fun experience! Been to all 3 locations multiple times now!
