Whistle Stop Cafe Diamond IL

This was a great lil diner just a bit off highway 55. The service was super friendly. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. The waitress was very attentive to us while we were there. The food was great! Came out piping hot and fresh. And the prices were very good. Which these days is hard to come by. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Delicious food, fast service, always has a today special. Waitresses are great. Angie is our favorite but there all very nice. This restaurant also has carry out service. We dine there at least twice a week. They also have a large variety of home made dessert, MY favorite is the white cake with strawberry filling.

Just the kind of family little place I love. Food was delicious, service was outstanding and everybody was so darn nice not a fancy, just a good old-fashioned Small Town diner

First time at this restaurant. I am from NY was visiting my brother. We went there for dinner our first night in. Had a great meal. Would recommend to any and all who visit to stop by for a great meal.

Stopped for lunch on a work trip. Was very good food and friendly service. However the thing that most impressed me was the fact that they had a changing table in the men’s restroom. Yes, you will see this in a big box store but normally do not see this in a small mom and pop restaurant.

Just did take out. The golden chicken is fresh,crispy and juicy. And the chocolate cake is delicious. People are really nice there.

My family and I stopped in here on our way back from a Marketplace pick up, and we're so happy we did! My kids can be picky eaters, and both left full and happy. The food and prices were top notch and our waitress was so pleasant and friendly, it made the whole experience better. We will definitely come back when we're in the area! This place is a gem!!

What an absolutely adorable place! My son loved the train going around the room near the ceiling. There's a claw game (.50), a little ride on car ride for a quarter, and Mrs. PacMan for a quarter! They also have a little section of slots that pay out real money, and a cash out machine there so no wait to get the pay out. There's a disco ball, and laser machine attached to the ceiling so I am guessing it transforms in the evenings. Even a big chair outside for photos.
We happened to stop in during a breakfast buffet ($10) and it was delicious! All the breakfast favorites. Bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, French toast, hashbrowns, breakfast burritos, donuts, cinnamon rolls, and even orange juice! The waitstaff was excellent and on their game as it was packed. There was plenty of menu options to choose from as well. I am saving this place for when I am passing by in the future.

Great food, and amazing service. Great way to start the weekend after a night at work.

I was quite surprised at how good the food is and the pleasant nature of the staff. I marked it to go back if I am back in this area. Prices were not crazy.

Some of the best beer battered fried chicken I ever had, sides were delicious and very reasonable price, definitely be back..

Friendly service, really good food, and warm, family style atmosphere. Lots of regular customers. Travelers passing thru are treated like regulars. Will definitely stop for a meal again when we are in the vicinity.

I must say, As my first time coming here. I would say that they have some very unique and great food here. When I was here I've had the California chicken sandwich with fries and broccoli & Cheese soup.

All of it tasted amazing and the quality of it was very appealing and good. As for the staff that is here. They were all polite, caring, and loving.

Overall, I would say that my experience here was very comfortable and right at home. I would highly recommend for everyone to take a stop here if they have not visited here before.

My wife and I went to the Whistle Stop Cafe in Diamond, Illinois for lunch, yesterday. This place is a down home family friendly restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere are all excellent. Compared to most other similar restaurants, the prices are very surprisingly low. This place is a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for delicious American food. I will be back.

Home cooked meals. Delicious. They do seem to misplace my carry out orders, twice in a month I've gone to get my order ( ready in 20 minutes) that isn't there because they can't find the ticket.

Easy to park . I got two eggs two sausage Pattie’s hash browns and Texas toast and one pancake on the side 1.80 for pancake and 8.85 for the rest of my breakfast and everything was delicious and hot not cold .
Breakfast is 5 stars!

Great restaurant that we try to stop by and eat every time we visit Chicago. Fantastic food and an incrdedible staff, who are always more than welcoming. Do yourself a favor and stop by here for a bite, you won't be disappointed.
