Budget Car Rental

Colby was very helpful and friendly when we went to pick up our rental car. In no time, we were quickly checked out and given the keys to start our Maine adventure! The timing of the rental made it a really good deal too. I would definitely deal with Budget/Avis again!

Rental was seamless on pickup and return. Car was very clean and the counter staff was very professional and courteous. The day after I returned I received a call from Budget telling me that I had forgotten my son’s baseball glove in the car. They held it at the counter until I could pick it up. The professionalism and honesty was very much appreciated. Thank you Budget, Bangor, Maine.

Everything went as planned with my rental. The counter people are super friendly and I had a brand new Tucson. I will not hesitate to rent from Budget in Bangor again should I need to do so. Key drop box for my early morning flight.

The Budget in Portland did us dirty. Natalie at the Budget in Bangor fixed everything for us and was so pleasant and kind. Give Natalie a raise, she’s great!!

I have used Budget in the past and will use them again in the future. They have always provided the best service anyone could expect. During our latest trip, our flight was delayed for over seven hours. We were a bit grumpy but when we got to the Budget counter, everything seemed to change for the better. The employees were quite cheerful and exceptionally eager to help. We requested a vehicle change which they accommodated without question. Your employees are exceptional. Renting a car through Budget/Avis in Bangor was as good/easy as it gets. Picked up the car late and returned the car early. No problem whatsoever. Short walk to the car from the Rental seat and easy drop off at 3 AM with no one around. I didn’t get my receipt soon after drop off but within two minutes it was emailed to me while still on the phone. Thanks.

The rental process was easy and the staff super friendly. When we returned the car, I left a hoodie in the backseat. I called when we got home and they were able to find and arrange shipping back to me. The staff was super kind and helpful!

Had an issue with our rental car that we picked up in Boston. Desperate for another rental car we stopped at this location for help. The employee was wonderful. Even though they were out of cars they worked something out.

This was my first experience with Budget (or any Avis company) but likely won't be my last. It was the low price that brought me in, but the friendly staff and quality vehicle proved this isn't a second-rate company. Pick-up was easy; ideally they would have had a drop-box for returns. As it was, I had to wait in line and it almost took longer to drop-off that it did to pick-up. One small bit of advice: when making an online reservation, sign up as a member rather than just as a guest. I didn't, and this made it somewhat cumbersome to check the reservation later.

Process of picking up and dropping off the car was very smooth! I did reserve a car ahead of time so that may have helped. Staff were kind and helpful too.

The reservation process was fast and easy, payment not required until pickup. The staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. We ended up upgrading the car and the cost to do so was very reasonable. We got a fantastic car and loved driving it. The smart car system was a fun perk. Returning it was a snap. I would love to rent from Budget again!

I cannot say enough about how great this company is! I had rented a car in Bangor Maine and drove to PEI. I accidently flushed my car keys down the toilet! I called them and within an hour, I had a replacement car! both the American and Canadian Avis service people were wonderful. I had left the hps in the car and received a refund for that. the sun glasses and phone chargers were in the car also but they were easily replaced. thank you for the great people you hire!

We did not have a non-debit credit card when we reached our destination and expected a huge hassle, as we had previously experienced at another car rental vendor. We were SO relieved when the agent in Bangor had a very simple and quick workaround that made us feel respected and had us on our way in no time at all! Our car was perfect and the return at the end of our trip was the fastest and easiest EVER. We will DEFINITELY use Budget every time we travel to Maine in the future

Despite storm Ophelia putting 100 cars out of operation they were able give us a great substitute. Friendly, helpful staff.

The customer service was wonderful. The check in and out was very easy and no Hassle. The car was very clean and the ride was smooth.

This Budget place was amazing. Our flight was late and did not arrive til after midnight but they stayed open so we could get a vehicle. Thank you Budget for making what could have been a very stressful situation a very enjoyable one. Pick up and drop off could not have been easier. Overall a great experience. Will only use Budget going forward!

UPDATE #1: Taking the 4 stars back. We just found out that Budget Bangor charged us a hefty amount of toll charges even though we only used the tolls once which was only for $1.

Great car. Great staff. Got a great Military price too.
