Avis Car Rental

The manager and rep working the counter at the Bangor International Airport were extremely helpful when another rental company stuck me with a Tesla in an area that had no Tesla chargers, despite them stating there were. The folks not only provide a gas-powered vehicle, but they also gave it to me using a manager's special which saved me a ton!

The woman behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. They upgraded me to a Dodge Ram instead of my reserved mid size car. I appreciated the upgrade. Returning the car was a breeze.

Super easy to reserve a car online. It was ready for us to pick up when our plane landed, and there was no waiting in line to sign papers and pay. Just as seamless when we returned the vehicle 5 days later, with no waiting. The car itself was very clean, low miles, and in tip-top shape.

Avis at the Bangor Airport is the best car rental there, in my opinion. They have the best choice of cars, the customer service is superior and the rental prices are competitive. I always go with Avis while visiting the Bangor area!

The car was clean, inside and out. Check in and return was quick, very courteous employees. I was upgraded to another vehicle size at no extra cost!

Every experience I've had booking online or on the app has been perfect! I visited from Florida every month during the season and booked with Avis - one time they were sold out and I was actually upset I had to go elsewhere. Super easy to pick up or drop off before and after your flight. I've had trucks, SUVs, and sedans - all of them were new vehicles and thoroughly cleaned (I also clean them myself). My favorite was having the roof off in the Jeep Gladiator while in Acadia or driving through town. The customer service has been pleasant and helpful when I missed my flight and had to extend my rental. I will book with this Avis every time I visit MDI.

No issues with the rental. Pre-booked a standard SUV. Vehicle was ready and clean at the requested pickup time. Vehicle was practically brand new with less than 300 miles. Staff was friendly and helpful at pickup and drop-off. Drop-off was simple and key surrender was faster than unloading the luggage from the car.

I'm in Bangor, ME and have a long-term rental through Avis. I originally had a Jeep, but it didn't get very good gas mileage so I requested to exchange the Jeep. The staff was very helpful & accommodating. I now have a small 4 dr sedan that gets much better gas mileage. Will definitely use Avis again.

The desk was literally right next to baggage claim. I waited for the baggage while my husband took care of getting the car. The first car had something wrong with it, but they quickly put us in an upgraded vehicle and we were on our way. The car was very clean and the cost under some of the other companies. We have had really good experiences with Avis and will continue to do business with them!

Small airport easy to get too, check out was quick and easy, only hiccup was the wait for my keys I’m used to getting location and drive but it’s a small airport so no fancy machines. Still quick paper work was ready with key.

We rented from Avis in Banger main, very good newer car and was clean. We used it for a week and drove to Indianapolis. Very good service, will use again

Had a good experience at the Bangor Airport rental- friendly staff, fast process.

While the line was a little long when we arrived to pick up the car and I felt like schedules should be checked to see how many customers would be arriving at the same time, the transaction was fluid and well executed. We got through fairly quickly. Bangor is a relatively small airport so we didn't have to wait that long. The rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. We returned earlier than the kiosk was open so departure was a breeze. We filled out the paper work and dropped the keys in the drop box that was indicated by the rep when we first picked up the car.

I forgot to rent a car when I arrived at the airport and Bangor Maine. They had a car and the people at Avis were helpful, professional and very nice!
The car ran very well it was not in Pristine condition on the outside but it was very clean inside and it ran beautifully!

Extremely pleased with our experience with Avis Car Rental. The agent who helped us at Bangor Airport was a pleasure to work with. In addition to renting the car, he was willing to answer questions about the area as well as places we should see while in the Bar Harbor area. He took the time to make us feel welcome as we went through the rental process. The car was the perfect size for the trip as well as being extremely clean and comfortable. We will definitely go with Avis again.
