Marcello's Father and Son

They have excellent Italian food that is very good and reasonably priced. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We have a group that dines there once a month. Highly recommend!

Marcellos is a great restaurant for so many reasons. First off, the food is great. I've not had anything that wasn't good.

Second, they have a great space for parties and events. They have 2 smaller rooms that really aren't small at all. But they can take down the wall to make it into a much larger room. They can host events much larger than you'd imagine.

Great service, generous drinks, and the owner is a kind, generous, and charitable man who gives back to the community.

Super friendly staff, good service and great food.

Like many restaurants, these days there did not appear to be enough wait staff, but our waitress was helpful and did her best. The servings were really big. I had the gluten-free pasta with baked mostaccioli on top and it was delicious with the garlic basil sauce. I Friends had the Eggplant Parmesan with three giant slices of eggplant and they loved it. I think it’s a little dark in the restaurant but it’s very attractive. Be aware to go in the door to the right because the door to the left is not marked and it looks like it is for the restaurant, but it is for a banquet section And we thought the restaurant was closed at first. Also, when it got crowded, the waitress would not do separate bills, and we had to divide the bill up equally between the three of us. Further, there was a charge for charging the bill.

We’re from Chicago and one of the staple places growing up was Father and Son in Logan Square. It’s sadly been gone and I was surprised to hear that Marcello’s still existed in Northbrook. The service was incredible and the food was SPOT ON! It brought back so many memories. My family will surely continue coming.

My wife threw a surprise birthday party for me. I've loved this place since my childhood when they had the location in Logan Square. This was by far the BEST experience I've had celebrating Any event at any Restaurant in the past. Our Server and the Manager both were AMAZING and went above and beyond to make it special. Truly a memorable experience and will now be our go to for any future celebrations/special events. The last time that I've felt this well cared for was our wedding. I felt Valued as a guest/customer. This was already one of my favorite pizza places from my childhood but they have really raised the bar. Thank you everyone for an Amazing and Memorable 40th Birthday.

My hubby and I have been eating here for over 25 plus yrs. My children are hooked as well. We haven't found a pizza place better than here yet and most likely never will. The shrimp and double baked potato are really delicious as well. We are forever customers. WE LOVE DRIVE AND 1HR & 20MINS TO EAT HERE♥

I recently ordered multiple party platters. The food was delicious, generous portions, and a huge hit with friends and family. The general manager was even able to have the platters delivered during non business hours. We will definitely order from Marcello’s again, thank you!!

What a great spot in downtown Northbrook! Lots of high quality choices on the menu. Family friendly spot with excellent service and friendly staff. Not just a great dinner or drink spot, they also host events. We’ve hosted and attended numerous events at Marcellos and all have been great. Larry and Louie and the rest of the staff are top notch!

Great thin crust pizza and amazing fettuccine Alfredo with chicken.

I have been coming to Father and Sons since I was a kid when the Lincoln Square location was shutdown I was broken. Whe. I found this location I was so happy I could eat their pizza again 😋. I will always recommend the thin crust pizza and garlic orégano chicken

Fast service, amazing food with good prices. First time coming here, i used to eat all the time at the father and sons in chicago. But they closed it, the pizza is still the same flavor. Always fresh, great experience. This is the Best pizza you can eat in illinois

we love Marcello's! the food is always top notch. the vibe is great. they have a variety of dishes. my kids can't get enough when we order dinner here.

Food and service was great - Lasagna was really good and the Thai chicken flatbread was delicious!

I held my wedding reception here. Larry was so wonderful with planning and making sure everything went off without a hitch! This is the first wedding I've ever been to where the food was absolutely stunning!
Definitely have the beef tenderloin and the brisket sandwich!
Drinks were amazing! Just all around a great experience!

So far, I've only had the pizza. It was very good! The restaurant smells very good inside. I'm looking forward to trying other stuff.

I’m very disappointed in this restaurant although I cannot give them less than 5 stars. Why do you open at 4 and close at 9? It’s NOT FAIR! I barely have time to order my pizza and I’ve been waiting for almost two years for you guys to change your business hours. You guys delivered to me all the time a thin crust with extra toppings, and your Italian beefs are off the chain! It’s not fair that you’re doing this! I’ve been ordering from you guys since I was 25 and I’m 40 now! I am a loyal customer and you can’t just do this!

I got take out to cater my son's 9th Birthday party. Everything was Great!!! The pizza was thin and crispy goodness and the broasted chicken was crispy juicy and flavorful.
