Steak 'n Shake

The Galesburg location has improved so much over the last year or so. It used to be so run down, and poorly ran establishments I honestly hoped they'd just pull the plug and shut the doors.

The new crew running ig is upbeat, friendly and outgoing. Never had a messed up order, always courteous service and delicious food.

I do miss the whole dine-in experience where the wait staff would take your order at your table or you'd eat at the bar top. I guess some things we can't keep forever!

Always a tasty burger, best fries in the business, sweet tea that is actually sweet, and not a long wait for drive through like a nearby place that shall remain nameless.

The guy that has been at the window is really friendly. Food was hot and delicious

We ordered shakes thru the drive thru. Service was friendly and quick. Shakes were delicious 😋

Burger was fresh and very tasty. Liked the kiosk assemble your food order. Passing thru from out of town.

At first glance, we thought the restaurant was closed but fortunately they were open for lunch. Other then 1 person, we were the only customers. An attendant immediately assisted us with placing our electronic orders and served us our drinks. Btw, THE COTTON CANDY MILKSHAKE IS DELICIOUS!! Our burgers and fries were served promptly and tasty as always! The staff was friendly and the establishment was spotless. It's just a shame that more people aren't patronizing this business that's been around for years.

Burgers were delicious!🍔 Ate here once on our roadtrip from MN to FL and once on the way back. DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR FREE FRIES!!!🍟
Back home in Minnesota we have Freddie's and it doesn't compare to what Steak 'n Shake has to offer. Will be returning customers 😀

Order on like a laptop. Real easy to follow. One takes cash if u like that way. All 3 will take cards.

Helpful and friendly employees make the difference.

In the past, our family has had bad experiences, and we stopped visiting.

After hearing things had changed, we occasionally would pick something up, and it was improved.

Now, we're happy with our experience and they're in the discussion when we talk about where to go for food.

This review is just to say how amazing this employee was absolutely amazing, Aaron Poole. I would go back just because he was so much fun. Definitely made our night.

The restaurant packed as usual with Steak and Shake did not effect us getting served quickly and correctly. With our large order and a long line of cars behind us. Everything was correct and very very fresh. The shakes were amazing. The food even better. Definitely will be returning.

Since this store has been under new management, the food is excellent, the service in drive through was the best in Galesburg(large complicated order was repeated exactly as I ordered it), order was correct and the food was excellent. Can always expect the toppings to be correct, and that the food is hot! Customer service is always amazing, even though inside dining hasn't been available for quite some time! They also had a "just ask and get free french fries" deal I couldn't pass up and was in effect for far longer than just a one-day special!!

Lucy, specifically was very helpful when I was interested in being able to get a can or two of SnS chili and was glad to see it still available!! Mmmmm yummy!! 👍👍

City Ordinance 's are not in Place. Trash and Item's behind Shed@ Steak and Shake. RATS will be in our Apartment Area if This doesn't get CLEANED UP!!! Just went through and got 3 double cheese burgers and they came out relativity fast the food rate great. The lady was so polite. 10/10 experience over all

After living in two other states for 10 years with no steak and shake restaurant things sure have changed.
Now you go in and order at a kiosk and pick it up at the counter.
But service was great and the food was even better than I remembered.

Great food, good prices, friendly staff! I call ahead to get my to go order and it's freshly cooked waiting for me within 10-15 minutes of the call! Great breakfast bowls!! Amazing burgers!!! The best shakes in town!!!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Finally have dine in open in Moline Illinois. Different experience - no wait staff. Order at kiosk and pick up your own food at counter. Couldn't figure out how to get reward points. No option to get the cherry syrup for my coke.
