Iron Spike Brewing Company

Iron Spike has both a large, varied food menu and beer menu. They offer menu specials and cocktails. Everything I’ve ever had on the menu has been great. The Jam Sandwich burger is a favorite. They have a kid’s menu as well. Service has always been great.

One of the best Reubens I’ve ever had. Everyone else got burgers and all liked them. My son got a Bloody Mary which was good too. It came with a small glass of their Light Rail, which I thought was really good and I’m not a beer drinker. Taylor, our server was pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back!

The ISBC’s atmosphere is cool and inviting with an industrial themed open floor plan. The quality of food sits well with the palate. We are thankful to have somewhere nice to go that has an open dining experience. Our waitstaff has always been delightful. Everyone has been friendly and accommodating. I am pleased to refer our guests to the Iron Spike Brewing Company.

Oh my goodness, this is a must if you are in the area. We were traveling through on October 31, 2020 and was very pleased with this establishment. Due to COVID, business was slow that evening, but the service and food was top-notch! We will go out of our way to stop back another time. Craft beer and a great food selection were available. This was the BEST burger either of us had ever tasted! Our server made the experience complete.

First time to Iron Spike and we were not disappointed! Beer was good. Food was good! Melissa our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely make the drive back!
The only minor negative was we stayed to finish watching a football game and caught several wafts of pot coming from the back.

First time visiting the Iron Spike in Galesburg and we are from out of state. Our server Shannon was great! We tried three different flat breads and loved them all. The Irish Red beer is so good! The atmosphere is very cool too. Would definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Seriously you need to get the peanut butter bacon jelly burger. I highly recommend it for all of the burger connoisseurs in the area or the world. #2 on my list but if you add the onion crisps it's #1. No joke. Trust me

Quick bite to eat with friends and family, kind of a middle ground meet up spot. Food was great, service just as good, music was good and not too loud. Was busy but not too busy, food was served quickly for how busy it was less than 20 minutes. We all had the special which was beef tacos except for two in group, one had a burger and fries, the other fish tacos and a spinach and artichoke appetizer, everything was delicious! We stopped in on a trivia night, that was fun, we didn't get to finish the trivia, regardless we had a great time. I'd definitely love to go back and I definitely recommend!

The food is great - best chicken sandwich ever and the fries are awesome. The beer is great too. The service is very professional.

Loved the peanut buster porter and the dark territory, two of mine and my husband's favorites. The spicy Asian wings were good, though not spicy. The Portobello fries were tasty. And my son liked the kid's chicken tenders.

Great use of an old firehouse. Cool art and graffiti on walls. Couple great beers on the menu and the food is great too. The Poutine is one of the best that I've had. 4 Cheese Macaroni and cheese was good if you like a creamy taste. The collard greens are excellent too! Service can be a little slow but this place is meant for more socializing than stuffing your face, definitely will come back.

Amazing place! Great atmosphere! Great staff! Excel food! You definitely have to try the peanut butter stout! Lots of fun stuff to do besides eating!

Amazing food! Wonderful atmosphere with a friendly and efficient staff! They also follow all of the Covid rules and have outdoor seating!

Great spot! Food was on point and beers were good. The chicken was tender and juicy, fish was flaky. Hefe was true to hefes, lager was light with a slight bite at the end, strawberry blonde was refreshing with a hint of berry, cream ale was very light, and spiketoberfest was the perfect marzen with a light burnt caramel end. The building was also cool with a large space and lounge area on the second floor with pool tables. You can even see the fireman's pole in the lounge to downstairs behind the bar!

Good beer, wide range of food selections. Enjoyed the smoked salmon salad and fish tacos. Ate at bar due to wait for table, worked well. Bartender attentive but not intrusive. Interesting location in former fire station. This is becoming a regular stop for us whenever we come to Abington

I eat there quite often. We went for lunch. A large group of firefighters was there. All of the staff were waiting on them. Several empty tables. We were told it was going to be a ten minute wait. We left and went to 156 East instead. Only bad experience.

I have been here a few times when I traveling near Galesburg. I have never had a bad meal or a bad drink here. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their fare.

First of all. Let’s talk about the Reuben Sandwich. If a restaurant serves a good Reuben and it’s understated and yet the most delicious thing on the menu, you know that that’s a restaurant you should frequent often.

Now, let’s chat about our server Ashley. To say that she was a delight would also be an understatement. Needless to say what I can tell you about our time here at the iron spike is that if you haven’t been here, you should remedy that for yourself as a person this very moment, secondly, if you have been here and you haven’t been back, that’s on you

We were passing through and decided to try something different. Nestled in the middle of a nice downtown. The beer was good. Food was all handcrafted and delicious. Even the kids meal was hand done. Very glad we gave this a try on our long road trip.

One of my core memories with my grandma is going to remain trying this place, outdoor seating with her, my husband and our dog. She was so thrilled with the food and the outdoor seating. It made me so happy to see. Thank you for the lovely service. We went last year and I still think about it. The food was phenomenal and our waitress was wonderful. Thank you.
