Leonidas Chocolate Cafe

Beautiful French pastries, crepes and espressos. We would definitely recommend the traditional Belgium Chocolate crepe. I loved the cafe noisette espresso too. It's fun to watch the crepes being made!
Crepes are pricey at $9 to $16. The pastries are all reasonable at $3 to $7. A box of 5 chocolates (select your own) is $9.
Lovely outdoor seating area. The inside also has a few tables for 2-3 people. Order at the counter, pick up your silverware and pick your table.

I hardly ever get an opportunity to visit a Leonidas store, but this one is my favorite!Excellent service and delicious hot food and hot/iced beverage options, always! I also enjoy the wide selection of delicious chocolates and other goodies that can be purchased individually for sampling purposes, or by the pound. Choosing which ones to try is always the hard part.

As soon as I stepped into Leonidas, I felt like I was in a quaint cafe somewhere in Europe. So many chocolates, pastries, and many foods to pick from, as well as so many hot chocolate and latte ideas. It took me awhile to decide. We finally decided on the mocha with real chocolate, the Nutella latte, a chocolate scone, and coffee cake. Not only were the pastries delectable, but so pretty too! And the coffee - wow! The Nutella latte was excellent iced. Also, customer service was phenomenal; it took three minutes tops for both of our coffees and pastries to come out, and the barista even switched out my pastry when I accidentally ordered the wrong thing. I can’t wait to come back!

This place is so good. I stopped going to Starbucks and only go to them now. Before I was prediabetic, I would eat the croque madame and chocolate croissant. They have delicious food and delicious chocolate. Also their Mexican hot chocolate is amazing.

Its been over a year and honestly I day dream about this place. Coffee was absolutely amazing. The macaroons were to die for. Make the trip if you haven't yet. They are the bomb

On a crisp morning, we started our day at Leonidas Chocolate Cafe, and it set the perfect tone for the day ahead. The freshly baked croissants, velvety hot cocoa, and the delightful assortment of French macarons made for a delectable breakfast. The charming ambiance and the luxurious treats made our morning feel like a delightful, indulgent escape from the daily grind.

Love the place amazing five delicious food extremely excellent service. I did an amazing memory when I visit Canada and this café.

Love this place. Obviously the chocolate, the deserts, and great coffee. Yet, I love the food here Picture shows the omelet Provencal and Pumpkin Spice Latte with housemade pumpkin puree.

The smell of fresh baked goods, coffee, and chocolate alone is worth 5 stars. Excellent coffee, service and eats. Will be back to try more.

Great little shop, a lot of great coffee and pastry options, all of which I've tried have been top notch. Their crepes look amazing and I'll be trying those out the next time I'm in. Staff is polite, attentive, competent and quick. Nice light vibe with seating outside. Definitely a neighborhood gem. I highly recommend stopping by for a snack and a coffee.

Went to Leonidas for brunch -- delicious crepe and yummy omelette with love hot drinks to go with. It's a casual cafe with very small tables -- perfect for 2 or 3. No belgian chocolate for me this time, but that's delicious too!

Excellent food - the croissants taste like Paris. I have tried sandwiches, crepes and quiches and everything is outstanding. And the Honey Lavender Latte is perfect. Staff is very knowledgeable and a delight. Highly recommend.

Wonderful locally owned Northbrook, Illinois coffee shop that offers incredible French pastries, croissants, crepes, espresso, cappuccino and they even offer breakfast sandwiches! I highly recommend if you’re visiting downtown Northbrook to stop by this very trendy and cute café!!

I really love this little café. The pastries are to die for, they serve my favorite coffee Illy and the staff was super friendly. Madison was so friendly to my mother and that meant a lot to me. I’ll be back here for sure. Also it’s a great location

Love this place! Great coffee. Great croissants. Yummy desserts. Nice outdoor seating. Just wish they were open a little earlier for a weekday coffee.
