I normally do not leave reviews but I have to leave my personal experience for those that are considering a new pcp. St. Joseph's is WONDERFUL. We have got to remember that healthcare providers are also human beings ... Everybody I have had an interaction with there has gone above and beyond for me. Whatever concerns I have had, have all been taken extremely serious. They are very prompt and professional. If I send a message on MyChart, 9 times out of 10 I hear back the same day which is lovely. They are EXTREMELY busy and still manage to tend to everybody. I saw some reviews regarding not having enough time with the providers .. there is only so much time in a day and if you're bringing up 15 different issues that you're having but failed to mentioned those issues over the phone when you scheduled the appointment then of course they are not going to be able to cover it all. We gotta be respectful of not only their time but also the time of the other patients that are waiting for their appointment after you. Also, if you absolutely need to get in with your provider and say perhaps your provider is booked, they will offer you a walk in typically within that week with another provider. They are more than accommodating and do their absolute best to tend to whatever is going on, they will not leave you hanging. Please, let's be more gentle with our providers here .. they are so so good. We need to give them more grace.

This medical provider is very prompt in answering calls, setting up appointments, and in all areas of patient and customer service. My primary care physician, plus two specialty physicians, are consistently excellent.

I've been trying to get into the St. Joseph's Hospital system for years but they weren't accepting new patients. I took advantage this summer when they had more Dr's taking new patients. I see Devon, and the difference in the level of care and customer service is a 180 degree turn from my previous PCP and the hospital he was affiliated with. It's nice to have someone listen to you and do more than just brush you off and possibly just hand you unnecessary prescriptions. I had been having gut pain for years and my old Dr. didn't listen to me, dismissed my pain and never did any follow up to learn what the cause was. Devon sent me for a test that discovered the cause within a month. It is a relief to have such a great new PCP! And I LOVE the online records. One ultrasound I had at 10am was already read by the Dr and in my chart at noon. You can see your lab and test results in real time and don't need to keep calling for results. If I had a teenage daughter I probably wouldn't recommend St Joes, because for religious reason's (it's affiliated with the Catholic Church) they don't prescribe birth control. Not all the staff are Catholic, but the owners are so it's a part of the hospital culture. If you are sick of a PCP that doesn't seem to care, try St. Joes. It's night and day.

I saw Dr. Lee on an emergency visit. I found her to be knowledgeable and caring. I look forward to a long Dr. Patient relationship with her.

I've been going to St Joe's since I was a child. I saw my Dr for 21 years and since he retired I was passed off to another physician. I wasn't asked what doctor I'd like to see, I wasn't asked if I wanted male or female, & even after I saw my new doctor I'm unable to chose a different physician. Once my Dr moved me to this new doctor I waited months for an appointment I was even being rescheduled multiple times due to their schedule. After waiting months I went to my appointment and was brought into the exam room and spoke to the nurse. She asked me why I was in and I replied I haven't seen a doctor for a long time, I need a physical, and a bunch of items to discuss. She replied, well, you only have 30 mins so I'd suggest pick 2-3 most important items to talk about. What?! 30 mins? 2-3 issues is all I get to discuss? I can talk about back pain, insomnia, weight loss, but if I have cancer concerns we can't discuss that one? What kind of ridiculousness is that? You're only allowed to talk about a couple things w the doctor you've never met and she doesn't know anything about you? When did this rule get implicated because I never got a letter informing me that I have limited time and issues I can talk about. The appointment was as fast as I could say the alphabet. The physical was not a real physical. She tapped on my stomach looked at my eyes and ears and that was it. I got more of a physical in high-school and didn't have to pay a stupid amount of money. I brought cancer concerns up and was passed off to the blood lab w no examination for my concern. How do I get my test results? Use mychart and do the work for yourself. You make a login, a password, sign in and you have everything at your finger tips. So why do I pay for this doctors appointment but be limited on time and things to discuss & then I have to search for my own test results and figure it out on my own. Usually when you get test results back you discuss them w a doctor so they can explain them to you. Instead we get green yellow and red pictures for results. Without further information or discussion how do I fix red and yellow issues? I have to figure that out on my own too I guess. Google is doing a better job than St Joe's Family Medicine!
I was less than impressed so I called to see if I could transfer doctors. I sure can if I want to switch practices and buildings. I'm disappointed In the care and attention I've received, things need to change!

MyChart and the call center are jokes. I am having new medical issues, and I cannot get a message to my pcp to talk about it. The mychart will only let you use 75 characters and the call center will only deal with scheduling, etc. Lousy healthcare system. Sick joke. Try putting patients first, instead of your convenience and profits. Been going here for years, and the whole system is getting less patient friendly.

I have been shuttled to the side and have changed from PA to Doctor, have been with Dr. Wood forever but can’t see him because I guess he retired. I am not satisfied with the care I’ve received at all. 3 years ago I had an Echo cardio gram and kept asking my PA when there was going to be an up date. Every time over the last 3 years I have asked when! Nothing so finally I blew up and got the echo and was told that my heart condition had gotten worse. Imagine my surprise. The echo was done the first week in April and they didn’t transfer to Cardiologist until I called and asked what was going on and why was the results not in my chart on line 2 days later I got the result. They finally on the 28th of April sent it to a cardiologist am I happy NO IM NOT! When the sisters were in charge this didn’t happen would I recommend this practice NO I WOULD NOT!

They coded my intial health visit incorrectly so my insurance refuses to pay for my labs that were ordered. This left me with a 910 dollars out of pocket cost on basic labs that should have been covered. Dealing with their customers service has been a nightmare!
