Great spot to get away from indoors to enjoy the lake breezes! Mind you the weather is pretty unpredictable and during winter it is extra windy this chilly so keep that in mind when visiting the area. The walking path is newly paved and nicely decorated while covering a fair distance. You can get fresh air, exercise, and scenery. They tend to display decorations during the according season and there is a few monuments for veterans and law enforcement which was pleasing to view.

Love coming here and looking out and down at the lake! In the winter they have wonderful walk of Christmas lights too that are delightful to see. Also free street parking is a huge plus!

Loved this park! It was great to walk. The beach didn't allow dogs but the wide sidewalk was permissable. There were clean public restrooms and the train station had a pizza place there too.

Beautiful family friendly atmosphere. Great place for a full day of peace. Clear walking paths, clean restrooms, safe play areas. Can be pricey if you let it be. But there is plenty to do for free and there are grills available to cook on.

We discovered this lovely walking park after spending some time at Tiscornia Beach Park. There are a series of informative signs that start at the war memorials and go through to shipbuilding and dredging the St. Joseph Channel to build the harbor. It was a nice, quiet and easy walk on the bluff. Lots of free parking nearby. I especially liked seeing the lighthouses we had walked to at Tiscornia from afar. The swing train Bridge was another highlight.

We visited here for thr Artian Fair. We did not expect it to have as many vendors as they did. It was a good variety and the awesome food that was homemade was a pleasant surprise. The weather was beautiful and the people so friendly. Beautiful park.

By far one of the best and most famous views in all of southwestern Michigan, if you haven’t seen a world famous sunset here, you are truly missing out. The lake is beautiful when it is sunny out as well. The experience is breath taking the first time you ever see it.

The Farmers Market is every Saturday through to October. Many vendors have tents sporting their wares...i.e, garden plants, produce, cheeses, coffee, popcorn etc.
Other events are held throughout the summer. Many people walk their dogs. If you need a rest, there are park benches along the bluff. Picnic tables are available as well.

Chalk the walk...fascinating and dif annual event. For all i k ow, same folks do the ice sculptures, but i digress. Lots of variety of dogs walking with owners, antique booths always interesting and nostalgic. Easy walking. Lake , sand, boating ,fishing, pizza ,ice cream, winerys and pubs. Whats not to like? I did not see an outdoor chess tournament, lol

This is a wonderful museum with lots of great exhibits, especially the featured visiting exhibits. Loved Bisa Butler and Barbara Kruger and The Obama portraits. There's so much to see it's best if you pick and choose so you don't get overwhelmed and exhausted. If you become a member you don't feel like you have to overextend yourself, plus you get early admission.

I'm amazed at how my hometown has evolved over my lifetime! I'm proud of the caregivers who keep the park clean even after being overrun in the summer. Kudos!
