Bonfire at The Continental Fire Co.

One of the top best 3 restaurants in the UP and by far the best in Houghton. I have never had a bad meal or left hungry. If you are seated in the Hayloft you have a great view of town. Live music on weekends on a top notch stage and the owner makes it a point to make sure you are satisfied with your experience.

We rented the Hayloft for a surprise party and everything was wonderful! The room had amazing views and the decor is beautiful! The appetizers were delicious and came out right on time for our guests. Our waitress was great and the food was wonderful! Don’t pass up the steak bite pasta, it’s super yummy! Thanks to Bonfire grill for making my husbands 40th birthday so memorable.

This is an all around 5/5 star restaurant. The service was probably the only lacking factor. The food was astonishing, I was already expecting high standards as it was on the 7th floor of the Magnuson Grand Hotel, but this exceeded even those by a longer shot! Since I stayed at the hotel, they gave us breakfast, meal, and drink tickets for staying. For dinner one night I had the amazing Jalapeno poppers (which surprisingly fill you up!) And some Salsa and chips. Btw, the Salsa is freshly made every day. The Steak salad was, from what I was told, very good, a nice balance of flavor. The fish was also exquisite witch a nice balance of flavor, including cherry. As I said, it was on the 7th floor of a hotel, so there was an absolutely beautiful view of the Lake. The decor is beautiful, and they periodically have live music. One morning though there was only one or two servers, which was the only lack. The breakfast that morning was also divine. Definitely would come again, and again, and again.

Great food! The jalapeno poppers and the wings are a must. We've also tried the ravioli and tomato bisque, very very good.

Great drinks! They have a specials menu, so good cocktails all the time, you can also go to the bar and ask for the beer on tap.

Great ambience! They sometimes have live music and a lot of people gather to dance to it. It is loud, as expected from a live band, you could not talk over it, not a complaint just a heads up if you're looking for a quiet seating they do have some closed space in the back with a lot of tables, it blocks the music almost completely. It depends on the mood you're going for.

I was told that Bonfire at The Continental Fire Co. was the best place to eat in Houghton and i was not disappointed. Julie and her staff were excellent. I booked a large reservation and ended up with way more people than planned. Julie was nothing but accommodating in all aspects, the staff did a great job making sure we were all taken care of. I couldn't be happier with our experience. I would highly recommend going if you never have. Good food, drinks, environment and live music, this restaurant has it all. We have eaten at Bonfire three weekends in a row. We had excellent food, service and music. We had the mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce every visit. I love the spinach salad with hot bacon. OVER THE TOP last night was the Steak Poutine. I’ve had it in Canada and this was so delicious. French fries, tender prime rib pieces and cheese curds covered in brown gravy with mushrooms. Yummy! We highly recommend Bonfire!

Had a wonderful time here. Food was awesome, the waitstaff paid attention to our orders, and the atmosphere in here is amazing.

Love this building g for the history behind it! The specialty drinks are delicious! Appetizers, especially the dream bites are yummy! Our diners were delicious and filling. Our server was attentive and most pleasant. The views from the upstairs are great! Watched the sunset. I will definitely be back. You will love it!

Thoroughly enjoyable restaurant with prompt service and a very long list of items on the food menu. Something for every taste. Add to it the full bar and you would be hard put to be left wanting after dining here. They had live music on the Thursday I was there - and I bet this place really rocks on Friday/ Saturday. The portions are huge - so if there are two of you...just split an entree. To enjoy the music and still talk to your date, eat upstairs.

Excellent steak dinner. Pumpkin cheesecake was authentic and creamy.

Amazing food! Excellent service! We most certainly will be back! Highly recommend! Also plenty of clearly marked gluten free items on the menu for my wife who is a celiac! The steak bites and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are the best appetizers we have had in a long time!

Highly recommend! Food is amazing, but do not go when you're in a hurry. It is a beautiful atmosphere with great views, but their food is so good it must take a long time to cook. Waitstaff hasn't been the best, but maybe they were new hires? Either way, a manager has checked in on our table every time I have been there, which was nice!

We love this place so much ;it has 3 fabulous giant rooms ,( great for family celebrations,holiday gatherings ,or banquets),live entertainment at night, a fun bar, and a vast array of menu items ranging from seafood to burgers. Literally the best burger and caesar salad I've ever had. Julie ,the owner is a true professional and makes each of our experiences amazing.

Throw all the bad reviews in the garbage where they belong😂
Anyone who is leaving a bad review in the middle of the great resignation sparked by the pandemic can take a leap, right back into the garbage they hopped out of. Just tell them to go to BK where they can have it their own way… but even they’re short staffed!
Not sure why people expect full service restaurants that seat over 100 people to be as fast as mickey do’s, but they obviously don’t know how to read a room.
You all keep killing it daily. I’m a huge fan and bring my patience when I visit any establishment now a days.
Foods amazing as always. Plus, the entertainment is always on point, the atmosphere is so chill and inviting.
Keep up the great work! And forget the entitled people who don’t get it❤

Fantastic food and fantastic acoustics for the band. 3 events going on so service was slow but was able to get drinks while waiting. A must try!

The atmosphere is great and the food is some of the best in town. The venue is like something right out of Nashville. Awesome spot.
