Great atmosphere, you can see the lake from your table. Love the wood work and the old canoes hanging from the ceiling. The food was delicious. Had the spinach dip appetizer. Waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again.

First time going to this fine establishment in St.Joseph for my wife’s and I’s 4th Wedding Anniversary last week and it was absolutely an amazing experience! We were seated in the bar area at a cozy two top booth and our waitress, the bartender, was so personable and cheery and made our time all the better! The food and drinks were all delicious and came out in a timely manner. We will definitely be coming back to try more of your menu options but as far as the surf and turf and blackened swordfish go, you guys knocked it out of the park with flavor and presentation! Wonderful times……

Good view, good bloody Mary, good food! Enjoyed the potato soup and gumbo. Also great turkey bacon avocado sandwich and crispy fries! Overall great lunch date!!

Went to specifically try out the spring rolls and ended up adding the Baked Spinach Dip and a Michigan Old Fashion as well. Not disappointed at all - they are as good as they look! The menu is full of appetizing options so we're ready to come back and try something else next time. We're from out of town so it was a nice surprise when we showed up to eat and they had a little parade beginning right outside the restaurant. We sat in the outdoor patio area which had heat lamps in case the breeze was too chilly for some. The host and waitress were very pleasant. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Great sit down option!

Absolutely loved their food here. Very fast and delicious. We did have a couple of hiccups, but they were resolved with great service recovery! Def recommend their Baja Tacos!

This place has the best mac and cheese I've ever had. I am a big mac and cheese fan and this just blew it out of the water. Imagine those people that went to Italy once when they were fourteen and bring up the "best pizza" they ever had every time they have pizza now. That is literally me with this mac and cheese, I can't even begin to describe what it means to me. I was last there a little under a year ago and I think about it so often. The chef deserves every award there is to give and I love you.

Very friendly staff. The service was timely and the food was great. My wife had the walleye which was a large portion with good sides (green beans and quinoa). I had the ahi tuna tacos. The ahi was seared perfectly and the tacos were delicious. They have great soup. I recommend the lobster bisque or baked potato.

This is a very friendly restaurant with excellent food. I really enjoy the “healthy” bowls, especially the Amigo Bowl, but my family has tried everything from burgers to Surf and Turf. I was kinda grumpy today, picking up a to-go meal and the waitress, who took care of my bill, said good bye and wished me a Happy Valentine Day. That was sweet! Highly recommend Shu’s in St Joe!

This was my first time into Schu's, I really didn't know what to expect nor did my two companions all we knew is that we needed food now. The service is like none other!! Lighting fast! Our server was so out going and extremely prompt never forgetting a single thing! Our food was out before I was through my appetizer was! The FOOD......OMG THE KITCHEN STAFF PERPARED THE BEST DINNER THAT I HAVE HAD FROM ANY RESTAURANT IN MANY YEARS!! All around from walking in the door, the service was the Quickest ever, our server was by far the BEST I have ever had to top it off the FOOD absolutely Amazing!! I give this place MAD RESPECT,If you are driving even close to the place drop in and be prepared to be TOTALLY satisfied!!

We were greeted warmly and our waitress, Danielle, was excellent! My husband a had the Rueben and coleslaw and I had the Italian sub. I tried the mash-sweet potatoes and will always order this!
The only disappointment was the carrot cake dessert-at $9, it was a spice cake, rather than an authentic carrot cake.

We had dinner on the patio. Fortunately, there was an awning & umbrellas because it drizzled a bit. I got perch & my wife got sliders. Lots of fish! Service was very good. The owner came by our table to make sure everything was okay. Nice view of the lake.

Not crowded on a Tuesday afternoon in January 😉 Excellent service, food and view of fabulous Lake Michigan. Rueben had tender corned beef and zippy sauerkraut. Both the chicken and rice soup and the lobster bisque got a thumbs up from our group. We look forward to coming back.

We really enjoy the great food and amazing service from Syndee. The views of the lake add a special touch to the experience. We will be back again next week.

We had an awesome dinner which was served by the politist server I have ever met. So kind and helpful. We planned to stop just for a drink but because of the service was so welcoming we decided to eat dinner as well. Thank you Ali for making our 36 wedding anniversary so special.

Very welcoming atmosphere. I had the Michigan cherry salad with chicken. It was fantastic along with a glass of wine. I can definitely recommend.

I enjoyed my time here because it was a birthday celebration.

I had the turkey burger with a side of fries carrot cake for dessert.

There were so many options that I decided to keep it simple. The fries were delicious though.

I enjoyed the carrot cake! The flavor wasn't too intense, it was very subtle like a cheesecake.

The other people I was with had steak on medium, I think a crab soup, and then Alta tuna salad, baked potatoes, vegetarian bean burger, and two Mediterranean I think pasta dishes.

But my favorite thing of all was something really simple. Black cherry mixed with root beer now that was unbeatable.

Our server was terrific. On the busy tree-lighting evening, she was all smiles, offered good recommendations, and was even sensitive to a toddler's egg allergy.

Stopped in for lunch today and am so glad we did! The service was stellar, the food was awesome,and the atmosphere was fun! Being labor day weekend it was really busy, however the staff never missed a beat! The waitress we had was really amazing and so hard working! We were so impressed with this place and can’t wait to return!!!
