Rave Salon (formerly Hairsmiths)

I went to Rave for the first time and had the most enjoyable experience. Samantha T. did a wonderful job cutting and styling my hair. It looks amazing. She was so kind, professional, and highly skilled. Samantha took her time giving me a fantastic haircut. I will definitely be back.

This place is so cute and the owner Rachel is such a doll. I'd explained to her that my hair had gone thru some major changes lately and also what I hoped to achieve during my appointment. She listened to everything I had said and executed things perfectly. It's not everyone who can perform both cut and color( both of what I received.) I'm looking forward to coming back here on a regular basis as it's just so hard to find a good salon in this area.

My first haircut by Janelle K was spot on. It turned out exactly the way I wanted it too. That is rare for a stylist to get it right the first time! ThankYou so much Janelle. See you in 6 weeks!

I can highly recommend Danielle. She did an excellent job with my color; the price was fair; and she is very personable and professional. I had an appointment with her just before Christmas for touch-up and blending of my blonde highlights. I had previously had appointments at other well-rated salons, but I had not been satisfied with the quality of work. I chose Danielle after reading some of her reviews online, and I'm really glad I did. The color is blended much better than before, and it still looks great. I visited my mom (a former hair stylist) for the holidays, and she loved my hair. Thanks, Danielle!

I get my hair cut and styled by Johanna and she is great. Beautiful personality, makes you feel comfortable. I get my nail done by Johanna she is very friendly, funny and fun. Wont go anywhere else.

I was starting to look like a transient drifter - I needed a haircut fast. Every place I called was booked, but Rachel was able to fit me in. She was fast, pleasant and did a great job. I'll definitely have her cut my hair again and next time I'll have her clean up my mountain man beard. Highly recommended.

Love this place! Just be sure to book early, I think everyone loves it here too. Rachel is the best!! She knew just how to cut my hair, according to my curls. The salon was super clean and beautiful.

The salon is very clean and up to date, and they have drinks available when you come in.

My hairdresser redid my cut because I just couldn't handle it. Good cut, just too much hair. Brad was cool with the request. No attitude and I ended up with a cut that I'm very happy with. The color he did matched well. Very satisfied.

Pam has styled my hair twice now - once for my engagement shoot and the other for my wedding a week ago. She is so sweet and makes the experience relaxing and fun! All the ladies at Hairsmiths are very sweet, I recommend booking their services. They are also great at nails and work with brides to accommodate for their entire bridal party. The morning of my wedding they opened their salon to my bridesmaids and myself to get ready at the salon even though not all the girls were using their services. They obviously understand that bridal parties want to get ready together, so they help make that happen! Food and drinks are welcome at the salon for parties too. I hope when I'm in Houghton again I have another reason to get styled at Hairsmiths soon! :)

I've been getting my hair cut by Dawn for a number of years. This is a new salon she opened. The place is easy to find and well kept. Never been disappointed with hair cut and other stylists who work their appear to have satisfied clients as well.
