Jackson Coney Island

Full disclosure I have never had a coney here.

They do make a very good greasy spoon breakfast though and some good lunch items too.

Love the vintage feel of this place. Friendly waitstaff and excellent food. I ordered the Hot beef platter, with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef is between two thick slices of bread covered with gravy also. It was awesome! I'll definitely go back.

We had a friendly work competition on who had better coney dogs, Jackson or Virginia?

I won't trash the competition as it's not needed because I have photos!

My order was on time for pickup.
The cashier was genuine.
Cook seemed grumpy, but his food was awesome!

It was 10 cents more for the same order here, but the food was 10 times as good.

You can tell how nicely the food was packaged. They also didnt wrap the fries in wax paper which makes for soggy fries.

How many times have I driven by this place. You must stop in, do it! You'll spend more money on fast food. We enjoyed dining. They do get busy around dinner, so plan accordingly for takeout pick up. There is plenty of parking next to trian station, so dont let busy Michigan Ave traffic keep you from stopping in. Will be back soon to try all the different coneys!

I love the Turkey Reuben and waffle fries!! Super fast and good service.

I grew up in Jackson and miss these coneys so much. I moved up north, and they think chili dogs are coney dogs. So, so wrong! These are the best. Makes me miss home a little.

I love this place. Good food, good prices best coney dogs anywhere around in the country as far as I'm concerned. I only wish they would franchise and open up more restaurants in the U.S.

Delicious 1st off! It was breakfast which is my favorite meal, simple but easy to screw up. Hashbrowns were above average delicious. My raw onions side were fresh not all transparent. The staff was personable above all. Waitress was all over the refill of my coffee and kept it fresh and hot. Very clean and spotless bathrooms, really nice Bathrooms.

Best coneys around. Even with new owners over the years, they’ve always made authentic coneys. Most places claim to have coneys when they’re actually chili dogs which are NOT the same thing at all.

It's the kind of place you might call a "dive", but like most dive's the food is very good, and the service is great, along with a simple atmosphere you expect from most Coney Islands. Located in a great spot to appreciate all the fantastic wall art, historical homes and landmarks.

Fantastic food at a great price. Bathrooms were nice too. The waitresses were really nice.

Drove 42 miles to get Coney's best Coney's anywhere

The staff was awesome and seemed to fully enjoy working together. They gave a wonderful atmosphere and fun work culture. Thankful for the tumblers they sell also, we found a special ASD one dear to our hearts. We enjoyed our stop here while visiting our ill uncle out of town.

The debate is over! I think this is the best coney place in Jackson. Besides, the server named Courtney is super cute...

Now my new favorite place to eat my Coney's the Jackson original Coney Island. Don't know what happened to Virginia Coney Island but thank God there's other places. Good job Jackson Coney Island hang in there don't leave us we need to! Good job Lisa my waitress you are awesome!

This normally is not not first pick but should be, there is a lot of competition for top coney's in this area, but they have been consitant for me with service and quality. This last visit for pick up was quick and perfect timing and an awesome. One of the young cooks was paying attention to detail when I came in to pick up, overheard my order, acknowledged me, and was very courteous and caring. That goes a long way. Great job guys! 👍
