Beautiful beach side park with boardwalks or walk down the smaller dunes to the beach. The sand is beautiful & the views are gorgeous!! Dogs allowed too.

Nice little beach area with a boardwalk leading down. Part of it was closed off due to disrepair and would love to see it fixed, a shame that it's degraded that far without attention. Trail across the top of the dunes and a good overlook. Found a lot of the tiniest shells I've ever seen and walked a little ways down then up the dunes/cliff 🤪 in a few places, quite a workout but super fun coming back down. Great place to spend a day, relaxing and wasn't overcrowded when we were there.

I looooove taking my dog here! They have a nice family beach and they have a spacious section for dogs to play on. My beagle loves running up and down the dunes and into the water. It's usually never busy or loud. Only bad thing I've ever experienced was other peoples dogs who were a bit aggressive running around, but I've only experienced that once in my 5+ years going there.

A great place to park (pay at the kiosk or get a ticket) and hit the beach if Pere Marquette is too busy. Take a walk up into the dunes via the boardwalk. The steps in the adjacent park full of covered pavilions perfect for bday parties and reunions are to the left of the kids playground. There are over 60 steps before there's a bench fair warning! The playground is pretty big and good for kids most ages. Restrooms are unlocked and clean during the beached open season. Be Mindful of leaving food out there are many critters running through these woods all too comfortable with people.

Great park for dogs and hanging out. Has a walkway to the beach and a quick trail that follows the edge of the sand.
We will be going again with the kids and dogs.

State of the park I've visited my whole life is sad. The path we walked to a spot by a tree is no longer there due to erosion. Not the cities fault, but thiers 0 up keep to the rest, maybe if they had tried they could have said some beach.

If you got a fur baby that great around other dogs and people bring them to Kruse Park! Beach access, with a beautiful board walk that leads up along the bluffs of Pier Marquette Beach. Just remembered respect the beach and other to please pick up after your furry companion!

Nice little park with great viewing areas of the lake and pavilions to hang out at if you brought food along. It is paid parking though and we totally wouldn't have known except for a kind gentleman made us aware as soon as we got out of the vehicle. It is $7 for the day and you purchase a little slip from a kiosk. We did notice someone as we were leaving who had a ticket for not having a parking pass, so be aware!

Very nice place for the family including your dogs.. the only problem is that the ladder to go down to the beach is broken and you have to juggle to get there.. some exercise for you health😅

Love love love this place! It was our first time in Michigan and it was also our first time at a dog beach and we absolutely loved every minute of it. Everyone was so friendly and our pup had a blast playing with other pets. We will definitely be back.

I love all the dogs here. It's also a lot cleaner than other public beaches. Out family had a blast. We will be coming back for years to come.

Absolutely love this beach, it's clean, usually not too crowded, and an all around great place to bring the dog in a hot summer day.

Beautiful beach. There are two entrances - one closer to the dog friendly area, and one with a park and bathrooms, etc. You do have to pay for parking at the electric kiosk now. The dog entrance has a wooden boardwalk that stops at a pretty steep sand dune that you will have to walk down, and back up to leave. Dogs and little kids can manage, but if you're carrying a bunch of stuff or not in good physical condition it is fairly difficult to traverse. Dogs are allowed off leash so prepare to be dog-friendly whether you brought yours or not!

Absolutely beautiful beach to bring your dogs. Lots of area to hang out not only in the sand and but walk as well. There is one bad thing about this place- the parking lot is sketchy. Without going into details several cars came and parked, no one got out. My overactive imagination was confirmed when a police car drove through and parked at the end where he could view the entire lot. When we left a second police car showed up and drove through slowly making several laps.

Excellent park!! Has a "dog beach" which is really cool!! Hopefully there will be a beach left after the storms & high water.
