Lakeside Emporium

This place is wonderful! Fabulous selection in a small space, very friendly and helpful service, and reasonable prices. Masking is encouraged (understandable if you consider the small space, spike in infections as we head into winter, and the owners' recent health issues), but not mandatory.

I've been coming here since I was a teen in the early 2000s, back when they were at their prior location. Even though I moved away from the Midwest when I was 21, I never come back to Muskegon without a visit to this gem.

So glad to see them doing so well. When I visited last week, there was a line almost out the door! Such a friendly and homey environment. I've never visited another place like it. <3

A fun candy store boasting contemporary candies by global companies, regional "old timey" candies and "craft" candy. These are available in either individual packages or bulk. There is also fudge, "craft pop", popcorn and ice cream available.

My daughter and I love this place. The fudge and truffles are amazing! Customer service is fantastic.

I recently moved from Muskegon to the Kalamazoo area, and there ISN'T another candy shop that has what Lakeside does.

Lakeside Emporium has that family hospitality that is barely seen. In addition to, they have some of those hard to find candies that my grandparents love sooo much (even though they shouldn't have them). This is a MUST place to visit if you are in the Muskegon area. The flavor's in their truffles are a must to try, along with their chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered oreos.

I have tried MANY candy shops, but I still haven't found anything that can beat Lakeside Emporium's taste, and their prices for that wonderful experience.

Great candy store, there is so much to choose from. It's a sweets shop with something for everyone. They have ice cream too!

They have a HUGE selection of every type of candy you can imagine! I LOVE this place!! Prices are reasonable and they have candy from my parent's childhood even and before! They have fudge and ice-cream as well.

Five out of Five stars! All the best nostalgic candy anyone could possibly want. Excellent variety of newer candies too. THE BEST homemade fudge and chocolate dipped fruits. Everyone is so friendly and kind. The owners make you feel like family.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.....ten star review!!!! We LOVE it here. Last trip they didn't have our select items but it was excusable due to shipping issues. The bridge mix is SOOOOOOOOOOO good. My kids love the mint truffles. The owners are great. We are so happy you guys survived the lock down!!!!!

This shoppe has a wonderful selection of sugary delights. The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful in choosing candy selections. I love the nostalgic candies they carry as well and the more modern selections such as gummies with natural flavors and dyes. They have a wonderful Indy soda pop selection as well. Their fudge is delicious, and my family gets a piece every year for the holidays. The shop is quite small, and during a busy hour, you may find yourself having to stand in line outside, but they do ship orders via online ordering.
I make it a point to stop in once a paycheck to keep my inner sugar beast quelled.

They have went above and beyond to insure safety of everyone with requiring the use of masks in the store regardless of vaccination status. This is great and respectable for all of its patrons. Much respect…

I've loved coming here since I was a kid! Great old fashioned candy shop and delicious treats! I wish people would stop giving bad reviews because of a mask rule... it's their choice to protect themselves and their customers so I don't think 1 star is fair.

Charming little place on the way to Lake Michigan! Lots of homemade fudge and different kinds of chocolate goodies. Love the selection of old-fashioned candies, ice cream, and sodas. Just walking in this place gives you a feeling of nostalgia. The service is always super friendly and I have been coming here for years.

They were closed inside, but they saw us pull into the parking lot and came outside to take our order. We ordered freshly roasted cinnamon almonds...Wow! Freshly roasted is mind blowingly delicious!! They are crunchy without breaking your teeth! And homemade dark chocolate turtles...what a difference from the candy that comes in a wrapper made who-knows-when! Can't wait to visit again when we can go inside!

Absolutely adorable little candy and soda shop. I LOVE the music they play. 1930s and 40s Jazz. Their fudge is really good and they have a nice selection of old fashioned sodas. Everyone there is super friendly and they genuinely mean it when they ask you to come again. Family atmosphere. This is my second time going there (I'm from out of state) and I will definitely go again!

I like everything about this place. Yes it's a bit pricey but every ounce of candy is worth the money. The staff is also helpful, nice, and live giving you ideas for yummy treats. Thus is a hidden gem of candy world in thus town. I can't wait to go back and try another new candy and a float.
