Love my Mankato Planet Fitness. I signed up with them 8/3/22, and my first workout was on 8/18. I never have been to a gym before in my life, and I had the fear of using one. I knew I had to try due to overall poor health issues and being overweight. Guess what, I should have started a long time ago. Great atmosphere, music playing in the gym, or bring your headphones/earbuds and listen to your own; very clean equipment in great working condition; very open floor plan (many treadmills, ellipticals, two rowing machines, cycles, 3 Smith machines, many dumbbells of varies weights, 3 cable towers, and individual equipment that work your arms, legs, abdominal, back, and glutes); separate Express 30 min workout room (if you want a quick workout); there is a stretch room; and PF 360 room (contains other pieces of equipment besides the standard equipment and dumbbells).
Note: There are cleaning stations throughout the gym (paper towels and cleaning sprays): please use them to clean the piece of equipment you just finished with. Thanks!!
There are locker rooms for both men and women. Both contain lockers (bring your own lock and must take your stuff after you finish at the gym, no leaving your belongings behind), benches, restrooms, showers (women's has 4, bring your own supplies and towels), and changing stalls (women's has 3).
If you are a black card member: this location has 2 massaging chairs, 2 Hydromassage beds, total body enhancement machines, and tanning beds. I have used both the chair and the bed: I love both, especially after a hard workout.
The staff is friendly and will answer any questions, comments, and concerns. They can offer to give you a tour of the gym, especially if you are new to the experience.
Parking: This gym is located in a plaza with other stores, parking in the early morning is easy but as the day goes on....it can become packed.
Truck Drivers: There are no semi truck parking signs in the lot. I have seen bobtails here. Just beware, park at your own risk. I used to park in the rear... no longer allowed because a new business is being built where ShopKo used to be. Can park your bobtail across Sioux St in the other plaza parking lot early morning but it's recommended to be out by 10 am. I have parked my bobtail in Best Buy parking (on the side where the car installation shop is) temporarily (no overnight parking) and walked over to P. F.. I now have a car to use to use on my personal time instead of my big rig. I work out of the local Walmart Distribution Center.
Overall: Great gym, staff, equipment, location. Highly recommended!!!
Cons: I wish they had longer hours, especially on the weekends: open earlier and stay open later. Also, I wish they had fans in the PF 360 and the 30 min express rooms, no air movement.

The staff are super friendly. A simple scan of your phone to sign in. The gym is kept very clean(accept the selfish people who can’t seem to clean the equipment after themselves). They have multiple cleaning stations around the gym so you can clean equipment conveniently and quickly. The locker rooms have nice hot private showers and large and smaller lockers(bring your own lock). The bathrooms are always kept clean incase you gotta poop. If you’re a black card member they also include standup and lay down tanning, massage, and hydro massage.

Very clean gym. Lots of availability on equipment. Definitely worth checking this place out!

I recently started going to this gym and I really like it. For $10-20 a month this is a great place to go from beginner to an advanced athlete. 🤘🏼

I LOVE working out here! I have gone to several gyms in my life, gyms with tons of variety, but this location is amazing. Always greeted with a smile, I never have issues waiting for machines or overcrowding (I avoid going from 5-7pm), it is always so clean and everyone is so friendly, not just the workers but the fellow gym go-ers. I recommend this location to all of my friends, it has become a great place to get in exercise, workout with friends, get a good tan and/or massage! I definitely recommend, no complaints.

The young men and women have done an exceptional job keeping this place running after I was told about the manager being let go. I have never seen the staff so motivated on not just cleaning the club but also the customer service has improved immensely. Very impressed on whoever took over at this fast of a rate. The gym is cleaner than ever before!

Great workout facility with a lot of options. I almost always have a machine to work out on at any time of day. The upgraded membership allows you to bring a guest for free and is pretty inexpensive for what you get. The staff is nice and the facility is very clean.

I started working out here probably a year ago and its amazing how much the place has improved in the past few months! Its SO clean in there, the staff isn't behind the desk as much, they have been engaging with members and I feel 100% more comfortable when I really have a question. Its an amazing feeling to finally be excited about making lifestyle changes and feeling comfortable while doing it! Thanks pf staff!!

Great place to get in, workout, and move on with your day. The equipment is in great shape and the staff are helpful. I've been in gyms all of my adult life (I'm 60+) and this one has all the equipment I need to stay fit and healthy. It's not a gym that you're going to be doing dead lifts, clean and jerks etc as they don't have any barbells but at this stage of my life, I'm not interested in lifting heavy anyway . . . just staying fit. Finally, I was notified via email when they reopened and it was posted on their website which I was checking periodically anyway.

The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I didn't want to join a gym because of being self conscious but the judgement free zone at PF is exactly that. The staff does an amazing job keeping the environment welcoming and comfortable. Thank you PF for making it easy to want to go to the gym every day!

I was hesitant about joining planet fitness but my friend convinced me to. It wasn't a wrong decision! I love Planet Fitness for the wide variety of equipments that's available, friendly behavior of staffs, huge space for workout as well as locker room, and last but not the least, it's very affordable.

I recommend you to join Planet Fitness if you don't want to pay high membership fees but still get high quality experience on your journey to fitness.

This club is impeccably clean, the staff is a pleasure to deal with and there is a great variety in machines. The membership prices are hard to beat and the Black Card membership offers additional great amenities. The fitness training classes are top notch and fun. Definately take the time to check this place out, you won't regret it. Planet Fitness caters to a variety of fitness fans.

The 5 o'clock hour is the best for me. It is not crowded, the machines are free and I can get in a fabulous workout.

I go to a lot of gyms in my travels but for the price this place is great!!! Tanning beds are comparable to level 4 and massage bed n chairs feel good too. Just got some new equipment in last month too.
