Very first impression- friendly welcome! Walking in to a clean, spacious and warm environment was pleasant and reassuring. The fireplace area is so nice as is the food service area. Our room was very clean. Location is excellent. Breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel in a very long time. We will definitely stay here again! As a Wyndham owner, Wyndham needs to use this hotel as a standard for other Wyndham hotels! We have stayed at our share of run down Wyndham owned hotels. Take note Wyndham!

This hotel is clean, very nicely designed, and comfortable. The staff are very nice, and the free breakfast options are great. We slept very well, and enjoyed our room. I was worried about being near the university, but I should not have been. The neighbourhood is very nice, and it's not too far from lots of great restaurants.

Amazing experience!! Sydney was absolutely amazing during check in! She was super helpful with all of my questions, all while training in a new staff member without any interruption! Great staff, great place, all at a great price!

Love the fresh lemon water in the lobby upon entrance. The manager with red hair and the employee with red hair also (forgot names, sorry) were amazingly friendly and offered top notch service when wanting to extend my stay. I will be back!

Very nice!! Full breakfast bar, coffee at all hours, some snacks to take after hours, pool, tiny gym that nesrly a sauna but at least it makes for a good workout. Spacious room. Good water pressure. Affordable.

Good breakfast nice staff definitely will be back I have a kiddo on spectrum and forgot his fan front desk had my back and went and got me a box fan saved the night 🌙

Clean room. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Was told pets not allowed (wife is allergic) but saw a big dog walking through the hallway in the morning at checkout. That said, we'd stay again.

We stayed one night for a work team builder. Katie was so accommodating when I called week of to book 10 rooms (we later found out that we were all placed near one another!) Upon arrival, the front desk staff were helpful and organized. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious; better than most hotel breakfasts I've had. We were all very happy with our stay!

Room 138. Clean. Nothing really amiss. Firm bed. Thoughtful positioning of the shower needs, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Showerhead stays put but it's a delicate balance. Staff sorted out the A/C issue quickly.

Great service. They went above and beyond, helping us deal with some airline issues. As well as addressing any issues we had with our room.

Nice and close to the College we were visiting (Bethany Lutheran College).

The workers at the AmericInn in Mankato do not get enough credit. Each individual goes above and beyond for each guest and I personally believe this is the go-to hotel in town. Ashley works with events personally to ensure they can accommodate for each person, Katie does an amazing job at front-desk and setting up breakfast each day, Mariah is a machine that is the best housekeeper in town who can set up over 80 rooms in a day, and Grant works maintenance in each individual room. You could not ask for better service, and you could not ask for better people. Perusing these reviews you'll hear how there isn't an elevator, but don't let that stop you from staying with the best family in town! 11 out of 10! Don't forget to do them a favor and leave them a wonderful review!

We had a really good start. Lots of swim times. Walls are not to thin. You can hear kids running up and down the hallway but that dies down as the night goes on. Breakfast was great.

Nice rooms, friendly staff. Excellent pool and spa area. There are a number of local eateries close by. Shopping nearby incase you need to pick up something during your stay in Mankato.

What can I say this place is definitely worth the money. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was delicious they had muffins that were delicious! They do have a pool and a fitness center but the fitness area only has cardio machines. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a poor experience at our last hotel, but this one definitely made up for it. Clean, comfortable, & well taken care of rooms & facility. Staff was great. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

We checked into the American Inn on a Saturday night when they were fully booked.
The front desk staff was polite and helpful, our room was very clean (not always the case these days with storage of employees).
Pool was clean, fully stocked with towels and had someone that came in regularly to clean up.
Breakfast was plentiful & had plenty of options for adults and kids alike.
Close to many good options for food, close to college and many amenities.
We will def return to this hotel on our next stay in Mankato. They had lost & found at front desk, super helpful.

A very special thanks Brinda Clark who cleaned our room and Mariah Meadows who helped jump our car (after leaving a light on all night) and let borrow us her jumper cables for the day to make sure our car would start to head home - this team definitely went above and beyond to help our their guests!
